This is an introduction to X-Pods and my future plans with them! They are very hip so I highly recommend that you get some! The Discord flopped and became unrelated to X-Pods, sorry. If people are actually interested I'll make a new one.
I just remembered this series last night, I remember me and my brother each getting one of these for Christmas. Anyway, I did some research and it turns out there was a miniature wargame called X-pod playoff, it had rules for the first two series but not the third. So if someone hasn’t already, maybe you could make custom rules for the third series, and maybe even other lego sets. Then you could start an online gaming community, and if it gains enough traction then maybe it’ll convince lego to bring the series back, that or someone in Mexico or somewhere will start a counterfeit operation, if they haven’t already.
That's very cool, do you still have them? I'm not really interested in the game myself, I just like building stuff with the pods, but if you're interested enough you could do it. Also feel free to join the server if you want!
These are so nostalgic and mysterious so happy to finally know where they came from. their candy-like quality to them is so enticing and so pretty to look at
Someone who knows what they are??? You should join the Discord server me and a friend made to be like the old X-Pod website (and more) if you're interested!
You don't know how long I have been search one X-Pod. I search those in local store and only got Robo Pod at the same time the price is perfect for me. I once had Aero Auto and Robot but I losing them in 2004 now I will hunt my nostalgia childhood back again after almost 20 years of not touching Lego(because I focusing to Gunpa so I decided to own at last one or four lego)
I have never found a complete one at one of my local used LEGO stores, but it is pretty easy to find them through bricklink or ebay. Some are harder to get better deals on but if you keep looking you will find them! That's cool you actually had them when they were new, I missed out (Being born in 2001 helps that though).
I know how it feels being born in different time but yeah old toys or figures are purely nostalgia like the X-Pods So glad to heard that info you get from BrickLink, thanks alot, I hope I can afford the 3 other Pods as I get Robo this week.
Okay last comment before I try to sleep, if you include other sets besides x-pod, then you’ll probably have to come up with rules regarding piece number and variety when selecting sets to use. Hey howabout the “mini” series? It looks like a spiritual successor, plus that way in a tournament nobody has to wait to be in another match. Lastly we should come up with recolor ideas based on holidays and stuff.
I don't think they would after all those years, especially since some of the sets have pieces that LEGO doesn't make anymore. They probably won't make new ones, I just think it would be cool if they did with all the new colors and pieces that have been made since.
I doubt a 3D printed LEGO brick would be as good of quality as a normal one, and LEGO themselves wouldn't do that. I guess as a fan you could try it, just might not work great.
I haven't, I didn't end up getting the game. Think I should someday? I'm not really a board game person and it was easier to find the pods separately, or else I may have already got it. But I would try it if I could find it cheap.
