I'm in the exact same boat but with a 2006 636, I *loved* my 636 but it wasn't viable to keep it after the amount of repair bills that it kept racking up. Someday, somehow I'll get another one of those lovely machines. Nothing beats the high redline, screaming sound & extra bit of torque that lovely 636 gives.

I've got an 05 f4i mostly stock minus signals and rear signal delete and muffler. Love how it's a retro bike practically now. My older brother bought it in 2008 and I always thought it was the coolest thing ever. Now it's mine. Taking good care of it and never getting rid of it.

Try to find a factory exhaust, rear seat get rid and get some oem tank and fearing bolts and take off the sliders and make it a show piece !

Bryan I have a friend that has a completely stock 2001 Honda 1000R RVT and his is just like yours it’s none stock just a master piece of a bike and he rides his every once in awhile.

Brian is the soul reason I bought a 2003 636. They’re getting so much harder to get a hold of in stock or semi stock

that bike changed my life aswell when it came out i was young and it was the fastest supersport of the time. It made me a motorcycle enthusiast and a kawi fan.

Nice score!! The respect for truly stock sport bikes is there for sure, I love seeing them!!! Don’t pickle it! If it was mine I’d for sure put it in the living room, but run a tank of gas thru a year, only ride it on special occasions, early morning coffee runs, take it to random bike shows, something like that. Imo not running them is one of the quickest ways for them to fall apart.

I personally own 2005 zx6r and it’s also all original down to the turn signals bought it with 6500miles now at 9800miles , 6 years laters it’s a Phenomenal bike

I had a red one of these new back in 2003. Almost everyone beats these things to death, so its nice to find a good one.

The original 636 was a ZX6R A1P in 2002 ;) (don't think you got the A1P on your side of the pond) . I'd love another zx6r b1h. Still miss mine, many happy memories. Its a special bike. Future classic for sure.

That's the bike that truly got me into bikes.... I'd take it out as a Sunday bike or something.... Just put low miles on it.... But I'd also keep it stock. My first bike was an 05 ZX6R in Kawi Green (obvs).... Got it in mid 06 as an NOS model.... Went out of town for work in the morning with my boss and coworkers at 19 and came back with a brand new bike 😂😂😂 was a great day. Sold a couple cars, missed the only category F5 in Canadian history by mere minutes and bought my first bike all in the same day 😎. Congrats on the bike Brian 👏🏻

Dude ride once in a while on special occasions and in the meantime inbetween times pickup all the OEM parts you can find in mint condition so when things do go out or get worn you can maintain the thing good as new and still enjoy riding it.

Imagine a customer comes in and you're doing business with the bike between y'all. Best place to display it in my opinion.

It's the other people that you have to worry about. Splitting lanes is legal in Illinois? I know it is in California. Chicago Drivers seem to be alot better drivers than New Orleans Drivers. 🤣

Ironically, about 6 years ago, I picked up a black bone stock 03 with 9,000 miles out of Indiana. They were a lot easier to find then, it's amazing how much harder it has become in such a short time - you found a great example, congrats! My only thought is that if you put it in a case, do a track day on it first, shag a set of tires and display it with said tires. Clearly it's a great stunt bike, but it was designed for the road course and canyons - what better way to honor it than to display in a way that shows it completed the mission - no mods needed.
