@5;48 I like this one, the Artoo-Detoo sticker. But this was a fun video. Iconic set. Some of the non-sport sets that intrigue me are the Mars Attacks, Batman, Superman and maybe Dick Tracy and Three Stooges to, round out the top 5...
I just bought star wars , empire and jedi sets today and pretty much no nothing about them . Star wars 1977 was 66 cards and the other two are 132 cards ( no stickers) . Paid $280 Australian dollars which is about $180 US. Hope they look as good as yours when arrive .
I've got a time capsule collection from my childhood of cards from the first 3 films. Not every card but darn near most. Stickers intact. I don't have card grading expertise but these are minty to my eye. What approach do you suggest to get max value from this collection? Ive held long enough and fans who care will start dying out in 10 to 20 yrs...so nows the time perhaps. Appreciate the guidance.
Good question. Most of your value is going to be in the first 7-8 cards of the blue (1st series) set. The Luke, Han, Leia, Vader, etc. The Luke has by far the most value. You could grade them through a company like psa or sgc, but depending on condition, it may not be worth it. If you want to take a picture of those first few and email them to me, I could give you a rough idea of what you’ve got. The paper they made those cards with is really really poor. So they sometimes have little wrinkles or creases that kill the value. eBay is always an option. Feel free to email me pics if you’d like. Midlifecards@gmail.com
Good eye. Appreciate the comments. I also appreciate you watching. Definitely some rubber band issues on a few of them. There was some wax on severally too. But the wax came off easily with a microfiber cloth.
