This takes me back.... I had a 2007 Focus XR5 Turbo. The one with the 2.5 litre, 5 cylinder Volvo motor. From recollection, 166kw from factory. I found a tuner device from the UK, which took this up to 202kw and 440Nm. Just loved this car, but sadly, it was stolen and crashed, so I moved on to another Ford.
Hi have the mk4 and just had Mountune's springs and like you a felt mine sat to high . The mountune springs drops the car about 25mm but the ride is not harsh still feels great and certainly sits and handles even better . Love the colour nice car nice review.
@garyhaywood6013 Thanks, I'm glad you liked the video. I love the colour too, really suits the car! I've heard lots of good things about Mountune springs.
Well done Webby, that ST looks awesome in that colour. 👍🏼 As for the your LED indicators CEUK over in the UK sell some very bright high quality LED globes for your car. I highly recommend them as I have a full set in my 2010 XR5, as well as my Mums 2021 Fiesta ST.
Congratulations, very nice and the seats look great. I have a 2021 ST-Line which I'm also very happy with. I would have considered a full ST next time if they didn't stop importing it, but the 1.5L turbo in my ST-Line is pretty zippy anyway. The 2021 ST-Lines in Australia also have independent rear suspension. A tip, at least for taller drivers in right-hand drive versions: taking out the foot-rest/dead pedal makes it more comfortable. Before I took it off my left foot felt cramped and close to the brake pedal. (One of the small rectangular panels on the foot-rest clips out with a screwdriver revealing a bolt.) Look forward to seeing any updates you do.
Nice car Webby. The grapevine tells me my new Fiesta ST in the same colour ( Mean Green ? ) should land in Auckland in a day or two. Interesting your comments about the i30N. Cheers.
@@WebbyOnCars I’d trade my 2017 Mustang in for this exact vehicle if they were still available. Back doors, room for a booster seat for the little man. I hope the Puma ST comes to Australia
I think it’s a shame that Ford doesn’t sell the Focus ST in North America anymore. But what I think they could have done is just sell the performance Focus MK4 in the North American market, just like what VW did with the Golf MK8; no more regular Golf in North America, only the GTi and R versions.
Hi mate, I'm picking up a 2022 model this coming Saturday & I wanted to ask you about the inputs for the sound system. While using android auto, can you stream music stored in your phone through the bluetooth system? Alternatively, can you play music from a usb stick in one of the ports on the lower part of the console next to the charging pad? (That's what I used for music in the 2014 Fiesta ST I had before the Golf). I currently have a 2018 GTi Original and when I'm using android auto, I can't stream music stored in my phone, only through spotify etc. This doesn't present a problem 'cos I have an SD card full of music in the slot in the glovebox. I don't want to stream music online and I'm just pondering how I'm going to listen to my music (stored on usb/sd card or in my phone) and use android auto at the same time.
@Combat-Wombat. Congratulations on your new car, I hope you're nejoying it. Yes, you can stream music via bluetooth from your phone, or use spotify via android auto.
Annoyingly, all the people who are buying these SUVs and Crossovers have zero spacial awareness or perception of the size of their vehicle. If all these idiots stuck to cars within their driving capability, useful hatchbacks like this would continue to thrive. Not to mention that half the crossovers and SUVs I have been in feel no nore spacious inside than your typical golf or focus. Who else here has had the pleasure of watching some elderly driver in their SUV trying to park forward in a small parking bay and completely failing miserably? I am seeing it more and more.
Having owned many performance Fords. I placed an order for ST-X but the dealer said yes, no yes ,no if they could get one, Rare yes, expensive yes, will it hold its value yes. But I took a RS for a test drive and canned the ST-X order and bought the RS. Did I make the wrong decision, definitely No.
@tba3900 The ST-X is pretty good value in todays market. Under $60k drive away is much cheaper than the competition given the level of equipment and performance on offer.
