As a European I am always mega amazed about how normal it seems - in many parts of the USA at least - to just ¨drive 200 miles¨- and back. For us, 400 miles in total is unheard of unless we are going on a holiday :)

That interior was before it’s time. That’s why it still looks so good in 2023! It came out in the S class first and then it slowly rolled out to the other models.

You’re the first person I’ve heard on RU-vid actually rev out the S65 Coupe lol. I have a 2018 S63 cabriolet and it’s a shame how little known these cars and how they are basically the perfect vehicle. Now that you have one I am excited to see the C217 platform finally get the shine it deserves 🙌🙌

Those wheels actually have a very long history with Mercedes and especially AMG, so the PO wasn't entirely crazy. But if you wanted to give them away, I'd be happy to make the trip 😜 I don't know who, but someone makes an exhaust that makes these things sound like a pagani Zonda because the Zonda uses this same engine. Edit: The suspension is hydraulic. There's literally fluid in little reservoirs that cushions your ride. God help you if it breaks, but when it works it's perfect.

Also, for the screws in the front bumper, there’s a company called bumper plugs or something that makes paint matched plugs for those holes. My grandpa got them for his CTS-V and you can’t even see them from a few feet away. They make them in just about every color. Congrats again!

Congrats man! I owned a 2014 CL65 AMG back in the day and man I’ll tell you that thing felt like an airplane taking off. It pulled SO SO hard yet so smooth. I went with a renntech tune on mine but didn’t mod past that. I sold it fairly quickly because I was young and it was too refined for me, now in my 40s I wish I still had that car.

On a contrary i love the wheels more than anything else on the car those Maybach style wheels are nice imo

Nice Mike, I have a 10:32 2016 S63 AMG Black with the Bengal Red interior. One thing you should mention at some point is about the double pane windows. Obviously the car is amazing and has so many awesome features that you will be able to show on your videos. But when you’re inside with the double pane windows, it’s just amazing how you don’t hear hardly anything. Truly comfort and performance. It’s the best car I have ever on and I ever owned over 60 different cars in my lifetime. Congratulations again! Love your channel.

CONGRATS!!! In the video the drivers side quarter panel shows up as a prett different shade of silver than the door and rear bumper so it was probably repainted at some point. Who cares? That probably contributed to the great price and you are going to wrap it anyway, so ENJOY!!!

I actually just started looking at these also. Then started considering a 2018+ S63 instead, which comes in 4matic+ and has the updated interior and tail lights. Comes out to roughly the same price as a 2016 S65. Which would you rather get?

You can make 1000 lbs feet of torque with a tune but most tuners will bring that number down to help save the tranny.

That thing is gorgeous! Wheels were definitely a risk attempt to start a trend. The drivetrain is like two 2JZs side by side, sharing the same crank! What a beast! After some slight turbo and valve train mods, a Borla exhaust, and a tune, she's breaking the 1,000 mark...💯

Leave the exhaust, don’t ruin it with something stupid loud and obnoxious. Do everything else you usually do to your cars but leave the exhaust the way it is.

Reason for extreme pricing is because it was in an accident? Body panels do look replaced - like the driver side door and front, and the rear bumper. Nice ride nonetheless - its a beautiful car.

I have the S500 coupe I bought it back in 2017 and lemme tell you you made the best choice here! 170,000km on the clock and still runs like new and it makes you feel special. I have the same interior as you do and I wish I had the V12 under the bonnet too! Haha. Congrats man

Check your car if it had any acidents please with car vertical or something becouse the side panels behind the door seem a little bit different color and also look at the boot of the car it dosen't fit very well I am an expert at this and know what I am saying please check the comment and don't forget to check the car.

Even here in Germany you barely see this Car . It’s like an unicorn 🦄 mostly because of its extreme pricetag (when it came out it was about 180.000 €) but as you’ve mentioned a couple of times 😂😂 SOO SICK 👌🏽👌🏽 ah and by the way here it became a bad reputation because it was called "zuhälter Karre"!

FINALLY, you got the ultimate AMG!!! Once the new exhaust gets on it, the sound is going to be epic along with tune. I’d love to see the S65 with new turbos boosting it over 1000hp along with nicer wheels, lowing module, steering wheel. I cannot wait to see what color of shell will be.

The rims are shaped like that for performance, they’re aerodynamic for less resistance at high speeds

Such a mystery how S-Class Coupes became extinct as proficient as they are dominating the interstates. Next stop recommended: RennTech. Nobody has more experience tuning AMG's M279.
