With that rear setup you can do both front and rear steerable, so you don't have problems with pour steering performance, because if you don't use lockable hubs in the front is gonna be a pain to turn.
I bought a very cheap buggy and built it up and it has been a lot of fun.. I was inspired by some of your videos, and Grind Hard, Rather be Welding, Red Beard.. Keep up the builds... I really enjoy the 2 strokes, I have a 593 Polaris in my buggy..
I'm not even a minute into this video, and I love this collaboration in more ways than one. I'm sure you two gentleman had a lot of to talk about. God bless RBG and God bless you
Sick bro. Daayyuumm....This is gonna be a good one. I love that you ask your 'posse' for help. Humility is a good thing, and we 'posse' can take part in it! Get it Vasily.
Thinking about doing a similar project, I got a 500cc 2stroke 2 piston motor from an old wave jammer I want to use. Electric start, water cooled, and I took off the Rev limiter so I'm thinking it might be a perfect application. Really enjoy all your builds, keep up the great work. Excited to see your channel blowing up👍👍
Build it up like a 2 seater Honda Odyssey, those steering wheels were iconic with all the controls. As far as the front diff goes just make sure the bearings feel nice. I replaced mine on a new used one, the original one’s chewed through the races because it was ran dry.
use kawasaki prairie/ brute force front differentials. they are mechanical locking with a cable and they have a spot for a actuator so you can selectable 4x4. also with a rear you can unlock it wont tear up your grass.
Unless you plan to stick to loose gravel 4x4 will have to have the same size front and rear tire or the gear and will have to make up the difference just a thought
I know some people complained that you have so many unfinished projects.... But man... I for one am not one of those folks... Love the variety and everything is super exciting! God bless bro!
yessssss. This is going to be an awesome project. Would love if you used an engine that would be affordable easy to replicate. Maybe something from harbor freight, so us plebs at home can replicate at least a bit of it.
It looks really good. The thing I'm always thinking about when someone builds a thing like this is they say "rollcage" and then they build something not very sturdy. It can be false security.
Looks good so far! If I may offer a couple suggestions, I think you'll be ready to rock. I'm worried about the rear control arm tabs. It looks like they hang down pretty far, so if you get high centered, they're the first to scrape and get stuck/bent. I'm also concerned that the front diff won't play well in the rear. Differentials are typically spiral cut gears, so running them backwards under high load often doesn't end well. Good job on making the cage so tall! Several builders make it too low so it's more of a hazard than a protection device.
Bro I guess you get what you pay for but that's all right if you got that buggy for an awesome deal you're good to go right make it a lot better make it the way you want to make it and I think it would be pretty cool to put a two-stroke engine in there?
Looks like it’s going to be a fun build. One thing I noticed from the start is your rear wheel track width looks rather narrow compared to the front. Could cause handling issues for rolling over
I have a big bear 350. I pulled down an old wood shop with it. Pulled a Ford F350. And pulled some crazy big logs out of the field with it. Always worked great. The only thing is it's hard to steer when driving on pavement. With full time 4x4.
I agree with the sv650. Even a vtwin 750ish cc motor would work pretty good. Your going to want torque to turn the shafts and diffs. Mt-09 engine would be the best of both world for hp and low end torque but I'm sure they are pricey.
Raptor 700 would be a beast in that. Use an electric power steering shaft! With plenty of horsepower it'll turn the tires and you'll be able to steer still. I'm guessing, you don't want a bunch of caster. But I don't know that.. probably want to try to limit the scrub radius. But, an electric steering shaft will make it still turn even with offset Wheels and 4x4.
the only thing I see so far is the rear end needs to be just as wide as the front end. we bought my son one of the Coleman buggies and that was the first thing we did was order a wider rear axle.
I have owned well over a dozen Chinese 150/175/250 buggies. The GY6 150cc air cooled motors are indestructible and highly modifiable. HONDA designed. MILLIONS of the GY6 motors have been made. My favorites. There are lots of performance goodies on the market for relatively cheap. From CDI's and Hot Cams, Intake systems, Exhaust systems, to BIG BORE kits. The Torque convertors are very tunable too. I've raced motocross for decades and these buggies are the most bang for the buck. I'm 65 and have a tricked out DUNE 150, same as a Tomberlin Crossfire 150. Fk'n rips!!
I’ve seen people build some really cool stuff with these buggies, although lol I’ve also seen some certain people wreck them and get hurt lol wink wink! Can’t wait to see what you do this time man
I got a gy6 4 seater go cart and keeps breaking on me I’m thinking about putting a 4 wheeler engiine in it! Your videos are great do you live in Texas you can repair it for your videos!
I would look for a Suzuki king quad 2006-2008, yes it’s a cvt but also has reverse and gears. Think smart not hard. Buy a 4x4 quad that has gears and use the drive train.
@@VasilyBuilds they have e start models, the trx engine from 06-14 are all estart, with tons of parts available at decent prices. A lot easier to work on as well imo with sohc vs dohc on the Yamahas. No pressure just a suggestion to check into!
Taller wider wheels and tires. I wish I could afford a toy like this but all the fun things are priced out of my pocket range. Especially since I am unable to work anymore because I live with a number of medical issues. Even to sit and watch a movie is taxing on my back. I definitely need a recliner chair. Before I would find a spot that was comfortable for me to sit but that doesn't work anymore. Take care of your bodies and you won't end up like me .
Also use king quad diff because it has differential lock and when some smarty says how do u use the back diff when it's made in the case of the engine use 2 front diffs same years and what not so the ratio matches them it would be true 4x4 or limited slip when necessary
