To the surprise of no one, I've yet again bought another pile of junk project car... a Dodge Demon under $20,000? How could I say no! It may need a little lot of work... but it's time to max the credit cards and build the ultimate American muscle car and what better platform to start with than the legendary Challenger Demon!
After years of buying Scat Pack's, 392's and Hellcat's from salvage auction, I'm thrilled to own my first demon, even if it's completely, utterly destroyed...
Have a Totaled Dodge Hellcat or Demon story of your own? You know what to do!

My estimated rebuild time and cost is about 400 hours of labor and approximately 30,000 k in parts. Unless you have a whole sale supply place you use then it’s 400 hours and 15,000 k

Here’s an idea if you are continuing to keep the original body of that car just imagine real quick how sick it would be if you clear coated and preserved all of that burn rust out aesthetic kind of like how you see a lot of retro, Refab builds keep in the old rusty patina it will contribute to the story of the car imagine demon resurrection how crazy would that be? You could even name it the resurrected and maybe even add a couple crazy futuristic aesthetics as well too it kind a like the terminator type theme added to the paint scheme or some thing.

It would look ugly and dirty. It would look way nicer with a repaint. Not putting a new paint job on your car is just lazy.

But hey, at least I can say that I rebuilt from the ground up to 1928 model J Duesenberg’s and sold them off at auction as a pair…. What do you have to show for it? 🤷🏻‍♀️

The design from the fire on the body is very cool. Buff it down a little and hit it with clear coats ;^) Repairing a car with a crow bar and a Sawzall LOL!

From my anecdotal experience dodge has a cooling issue. Doesn't matter the model or year I see people on side of the road putting coolant or water in the reservoir. My bro had a 2018 challenger hemi and it just kept overheating. Good cars but has a cooling issue

It’s gonna be super expensive to rebuild, especially seeing most demon part have to be purchased through the dealer and it requires approval from cooperate to order demon parts. Even once rebuilt it will have a salvage title and no where worth what it cost to rebuild. Good luck

When I was 12 I said to my dad, "don't marry her," he did. One weekend my dad took me in the Jeep for a weekend in the mountains. We came back late Sunday and the house was cleaned out, bank account too. We lost everything, the house, business, it bankrupted us. Seeing this channel and this project reminded me of that fateful time. Though this car won't bankrupt you I believe it will be an expensive endeavor. If you're a stubborn man, and I believe you are, I would like to offer a name for this project car, Elaine,, that was the name of the $%#@ that my father was married to for a few months before she robbed us blind. In the end my father came out ahead and was quite successful, as I believe you and your team will be once this challenging project is complete.

The problem with this is the fire damage. Metal can lose its temperament if it gets too hot making it softer. I wouldnt try to salvage any of the metal parts that were burned.

id have payed a maximum of 1000 for it. What I would do with that scrap: Angle it up at 45° and put it in front of the shop right as it is at 22:22 would make up for a good statue/logo/display

I am not an expert, just I remember someone saying that fire changes the metal flexibility due to temperature - so it could be considered structural damage
