"I need to sell my wife's car because we have no room for a coupe with a baby coming in!" Fast forward a week later... "I just bought another car!" Who else but Hoovie?
He always buys used cars. The way he buys them it’s easy to just collect them. It’s not like he is buying $500000 cars. Most people buy a new car every 3 years, which will set you back 40000-200000 depending on your income(if you don’t want something crappy). I like how he buys cheap cars cramped with trouble. But the trouble he gets in short time will easily add up to 40K in 3 years. So the way he buys cars isn’t quite economical.
Glad you got some great Italian cars now . Few things, the Abarth started with 135hp in Europe and the engine was never engineered by Chrysler - it was purely engineered in Italy.
This video makes me want one! Looks like a nightmare to work on but I've always loved and owned hatchbacks. Currently in a Veloster ReMix I payed cash for... I'm now in the market for one of these toys.
When Hoovie met Wizard, the wizard was homeless, now the Wizard has a business, three homes and a fleet of working vehicles. All thanks to a man who has a problem keeping his hands off crap cars.
Watson, don't they call you Sherlock? Hurray, you were able to rewrite joke Tyler and Wizard joke about since the very beginning. Congratz on your biggest achievement.
Excited Hoovie gets out at The Wizards Lair: “Weezurd! Look what I bought!” Wizard seeing all the gunk, scratches, LED and smelling the dog sick: “Oh no…” “That’s another Grand right there.”
Actually not much, and to be truthful, I’m kinda surprised at the reliability. We had two and other than crap armrest, nothing else has failed. Our first one went 85k with no issues, and the current one has 40k and no problems with it, and this make 228hp. It is driven daily in Miami traffic and heat, while returning 28 mpg. It has been running with the mods since 4K, with no clutch or drivetrain problems. I hope, I haven’t jinxed myself.
@@ernirose2077 That's quite interesting, thanks man, I give FCA a hard time but it's good to hear stories like this. I hope the car gives you many more happy miles. I know what it's like to have that slight worry at the back of your head about reliability though, I drive a Jeep and I don't live in the States, so if something does go wrong, it's expensive and takes ages to get parts.
@@trudeaumustgo1920 You're wrong -- you don't say AY-bout, you say ah-BOUT (the first syllable is a schwa). YOU need to learn English... And in English, when a name is used, you pronounce it as it would be spoken in the native language.
Dear god. It's pronounced "Abarth", not "Abarth". Edit: He knows how to pronounce it correctly, but he chooses not to... but he does... then he doesn't... then he does again.
I own one of this in France, kept it stock for 6 months and couldn't resist to tune to a good Stage 1+ These things have so much potential, 135bhp to 180bhp - 230nm to 320nm. It pulls like a Lotus !! The tuning parts are so cheap, you can modify exhaust, suspensions, chassis (in general), wheels etc etc for so little money. And trust me its so fun to drive. People don't understand why we buy them in the first place but let me tell you once they drive it they go directly buy one ! And thats been the case for so much of my friends. Even if i have the money for an AMG45 or etc i won't sell it, its just too good.
There's a young woman in our church that bought a home a couple of years ago. That home came with a Fiat 500 in the garage. What an unreliable piece of......that car turned out to be...enywho she got it fixed so she could sell it and now has a Honda Civic....Maybe Tyler needs to watch a few Scotty Kilmer videos. You know Rev up you FIATS!...NOT!
Tyler's quote of the day(5:25) "I'm proportioned like a giraffe" while in the other side of the world a Giraffe is thinking " I'm proportioned like Tyler Hoovie" 🤔
Actually; Fiat USA made a federalized version of the 500 and it's engine, both with minor differences. The Abarth was already introduced in Europe before it was available in the US. They do though, use those US-spec and built engines (and its variations) on the various US Fiats, Jeeps and Chrysler.
Idk........ it's not much even for scrap value. I couldn't imagine someone was actually dumb enough to pay 30k for something like that. Of course the stupidity of people is never really a surprise.
Some Autozone lights and a $10 shifter knob isn't exactly what I'd call tricked out. I'd imagine they bought it from a buy here pay here at an absurd APR and fell into the cycle a lot of people that are in the market find themselves stuck in.
I had one. Most fun car I've ever owned. The dealer at Delray Beach, Florida messed up the car and wouldn't fix it properly... Unfortunately got rid of it. Good luck hoovie.
@@b.roa2366 he makes so little content about his cars now other than taking them to get fixed he might as well. The glory days of H.G. river crossings in the lexus, family trips in the caravan modifying the NSX. It has got rather stale buying expensive cars that we never see again.
@@mikeyBIA Scotty Kilmer is a millionaire who understands why you would treat yourself. He just chooses not to and shares why you shouldn't too. If you can't afford expensive cars, you should listen to him.
They seem to be reliable if you keep them stock and maintain them properly. I have 135k miles on mine. Most people who report problems in the online clubs and forums either modified the car or neglected their maintenance
The plastics are typically chrysler with the fiat flare of breaking. Not a bad car at all. Really reliable and pretty simple to work on (though its a pita to get into stuff in the engine bay)
Cute car, but as soon as you mentioned Chrysler, I shuddered a bit. No more. No more of that nightmare. Our family had several Chrysler vehichle, all tragic money pits.
$4.000 is a very low expense for the channel. He wants the views and ad revenue... And can always resell it for 4k...if the car runs excellent then there is no content to talk about...
Salesman say's, ''Ok, how many miles ya want the used car factory to put on it? The more miles they put on the odometer the cheaper it is''. ''Ya want some rust on it too''? ''Cheaper that way''.
I have a 595 Competizione and it's genuinely amazing to drive. It has the record Monzo exhaust so it's insanely loud. Build quality isn't great though, but it puts a smile on your face.
I really wanted one when I was 16 but my parents thought being a such a small car was not safe, instead we bought a jeep, because not having a roof is so much safer
