Ive got a 07 plate mk2 ST,got two prepainted wings off ebay last year.colour is a little off but only if youre looking for it.great cars if theyre looked after 👍
Picked one up couple years ago for £2k. 80k miles. Put in rs clutch flywheel release bearing, new boost solenoid, new recirc valve as diaphragm was split, new coolant hoses as they were all ballooned. Car had a map on it and after fixing everything it boosted so hard 😁 sold for 4.5k didn't keep it long, quick flip. Rs clutch complete I paid £100 because the fool thought it was standard clutch 😂 he had it for less than 500 miles. The clutch still had factory paint stamps on the friction plate. Driveshafts were surprisingly perfect and changed wishbones as they always need changing 😂
I’ve had lots of fords but never a mk2 ST. Closest would be I owned a mk2 rs for about 3 days before it went back to the garage under warranty and they refunded me. But I love the drive if it.
I recently replaced all rear suspension arms etc with standard, handling wise mine is original but will be fitting lowering springs this summer. Upgraded engine mounts stiffened up the whole feel of the engine and RS clutch n flywheel has immense grip.
Don’t know if that’s a little further than I want to take it. I like the ride now it is how to be fair. What does the 30mm drop do to the overall handling.
Right now I think that’s the plan. Get the bodywork right. Small bit of work on the engine and maybe some subtle improvements to the chassis. But I don’t think I’m going to go over the top on this one.
