Before I got Thrustmaster I was using a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick I used back in the days of FS9/FSX, it still works great with MSFS. Those are easy to find used in the $10-$20 range.
My father bought that thing yeeeaaars ago. I think its a really good joystick, but since I've tried it on the MSFS the calibration is broken. But it's definitely worth 10$
That thing is 4 months older than me.:) I’m actually looking for a joystick, even though I prefer controllers because I’ve got used to them and I butter most of my landings that way.
yep, 2006 cd/dvd drives were still pretty standard instead of download drivers as the most common windows xp didnt have drivers ready to plug n play everything. not like today where you just slap it in and boom it works.
Looks surprisingly good! I still have my Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 from 2000, that I've used as far back as FS2000 and X-Plane 5, it has a much more weighty and quality feel, but there are times I wish I had more buttons.
I actually used to have one like 4 years ago then i got a 25$ joystick that broke like 8 months after then I bought a honeycomb yoke and a saitek throttle(The joystick lasted me 4 years and my friend is still using it)
I had two of it many years ago. The first one started to send only half of signal when pitching up after few days. Store changed it in warranty, but the second one did the same. I invested in a Saitek FF yoke.
If it's from Slovakia, it's Slovakian koruna. Back in 2006, it was the main and only money currency in Slovakia, Just on 1st of January in 2009 was changed to EUR. btw is it was really slovakian koruna, this is VERY expensive

@@erinsaviation1964 You could use a Xbox series S and msfs2020 or Xplane. The problem is there are not many yokes for Xbox but PC under 500 is not a good choice.
I would be over the moon to even get a joystick- cause I don't even have the game yet, and my laptop can run this game 40 fps max- according to youtube videos- plus, I'm damn sure I'm only getting standard edition
3:56 I just have the need to correct you there haha. In Germany you can buy alcohol with 16, and therefor in 2022 the youngest ppl that can buy alcohol were born in 2006 when the joystick came out.But we are splitting hairs right there.
Just keep it as a backup. or if you let any kids play with your sim it could be useful for that like if the cousins come over then you dont gotta worry about your nice one
