Thanks for watching and for supporting my channel! I appreciate you! If you liked this video, you may enjoy watching the review that my good friend Justin Hickox made about the same product (we have different opinions on it): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EosMmil5RYU.html If you want a daily dose of glam-spiration, follow me on instagram because I am very active on that platform: instagram.com/glamgirlgabi/

How were the results the next day? I've yet to see a review showing if it stays pin straight the next day or so.. Dyson claims that this gives a straight look but also keeping volume. So I definitely think this video is helpful but now I'm a little more hesitant to make the investment (which isn't a bad thing)..

LOL!!! You made me laugh! This is the perfect hot tool for you because it will give you super smooth hair without the heat damage. thanks for the video! A lot of your viewers mentioned disinfecting items at home. The safest way to disinfect at home is with Force Of Nature. I don’t know if they ship to Canada (I hope they do!). It’s a kit to make hypochlorous acid at home and load it into spray bottles. Odorless, you can spray it anywhere. They use it in hospitals etc but it’s costly to make and sell a stable version so it’s less utilized in those types of settings. The home version lasts about 2 weeks in the spray bottle, but you’ll go through it fast. I spray the sinks, toilets, dish drainer, behind the faucets (yuck), door handles, toothbrushes, etc. it’s not a cleanser just a sterilizer. It doesn’t leave behind a smell stickiness, or any residue. It doesn’t hurt anything (even wood). I LOVE FORCE OF NATURE!

Thanks for the review. Love your channel. I am not a doctor but may have a couple things to try to stay well and ask your doctor about. One is to use flonase nasal spray if you feel like you're are starting to get sick, take it per directions every day during rough seasons. Another is to use netty pots or nasal syringes to clear sinuses. They have syringes for all ages. Again use per instructions to keep clean. Take supplements like multivitamins or zinc (use ones specified for immune system). I also take a 1/2 teaspoon of "local raw honey" a couple times a day. Start using it when you start to feel sick. Note: there is an age requirement for raw honey so ask doctor. I was sick a lot growing up and discovered I have asthma. Having asthma makes getting sick with common colds worse. Things to thin about :) Good luck

Thank you so much for this test drive on the Dyson airstrait. I am very intreaged, but I was so dissappointed on the Loreal Steampod I had before(sold it) IT made my hair just straight with NO movement. Like I had hair sticks. Less damaging though, but the look was awful. I am afraid that my fine wavy thin hair will look like that with the Dyson aitstrait too. I want frizzfree straight, but bouncy shiny hair. Thoughts? Try Omega three oil and make sure you also get enough magnesium. Even though a person takes or eats lots of great food, the apsorption is key. Omega 3 boost immune system, but also depletes the body for magnesium in the process. Pluss garlic and ginger. Immune miracle workers. As someone also mentioned; mold or you might have become allergic(dust mites?) Best of luck on your health. ❤❤❤

I have the air wrap……and haven’t really been happy, because my hair is above shoulder length and I was hoping that it would make my hair healthier-but if it is, it doesn’t look like it, because it’s not straight and shiny like it was with a regular blow dryer. That’s why I’m interested in this new dyson, but at the same time, I’m pretty cautious, because although super straight and shiny is exactly what I like, the fact that I paid that much for the other dyson and was so let down makes me afraid of the same happening again. I’m pleased to see how much you liked it, because I’ve seen mixed reviews from the other few hair influencers I watch on RU-vid.

Love my AirStrait!!! Way healthier AND it lasts multiple days. I disagree with your suggestion of adding a comb feature, or some kind of teeth. That is is beauty of this tool - nothing to grab your hair and cause breakage. And as far as it giving straight hair only, as long as you don't use Boost Mode or the Cool feature, you can quickly go in with a flat iron or curling iron to add curl or waves. When I used a blow dryer or a round blowdryer brush, I still had frizz to contend with, plus it looked like a hot mess the following morning.

Awesome info on that hot tool! I have already been thru the rounds of sickness, a few things that helped me are this. High potency vitamin D3 with K2 as MK7 (many supplements are now coming with it included) the MK7 helps D3 put calcium into your bones and other needed areas and not clog up your arteries, D3 is actually a hormone and Is highly linked to your immune system feeding every cell in your body. Taking higher doses is now recommended by naturopathic doctors, at least 20,000 IUs daily. Beefing up your gut with a good probiotic daily, and replenish your water soluble trace minerals( you use them up daily so you have to replace them daily) get a good electrolyte powder drink and use it daily to replace critical potassium, E, C etc, lemons contain twice or more vitamin c than an orange, I juice or squeeze one hole lemon into my electrolyte drink daily. Check out Keppi electrolyte on Amazon (has none of the bad stuff in it) Eggs and especially the egg yolks contain everything every cell in your body needs, doctors now recommend the health benefits vs any worry of cholesterol, unless you eat like 10 eggs a day. Get a good B 12 supplement, good ones are high potency and you let it melt under your tongue and they generally taste good. Almost everyone is deficient in this critical vitamin, that deficiency can mimic many diseases, if I don't take mine, after just a day or so I feel really off. I have spent much time researching and learning all this info... You can get a better understanding by following and watching Dr. Berg and all of his vids pertaining to any of the above mentioned items, just search RU-vid Dr. Berg immune system and you will find tons of info. It takes a bit of time to boost back up, be patient and vigilant.

I can't tell you how many perms we each got in the hopes of getting some curl or at least some waves! (We're all in our 60s now, so this was a long time ago!) As I've gotten older I finally have gotten some texture, my scrunching can be decent-looking for the first day but not any longer than that. So no, I'm trying to encourage my waves/texture, not beat it into submission! But you have to give kudos to Dyson for the innovation, God love him!!

I think I could justify the cost since I am growing out my natural silver - grey hair and I am afraid of heat tools due to the potential of it yellowing natural hair. And I too have fine, thin hair so to protect it while achieving a polished look…

Nah. I have it and it's not worth the hype at all nor the price. It's annoying to use, no matter the amount of product I put in my hair, the curls won't hold. You are better off with a nice, quality blow-dryer.

Bought it thinking I would return. I do love how it leaves my hair healthy and shiny. I much prefer the style my AirWrap gives me over this stick straight style. But what I'm noticing is that the Air Strait style lasts much longer on me than the Air Wrap. I don't have to touch up my hair for several days with this tool. And it looks even better on Day Two and Day Three as the hair is still shiny but not so flat. Definitely a keeper. Will be great to travel with as I won't need to touch up my hair every day. Can't travel overseas tho as it's not dual voltage. Still love my AirWrap for volume and bouncy curls.
@GlamGirlGabi

Yes there are pros and cons to both for sure! I like to wear my hair with more volume typically too but lately I haven't minded a super sleek look so I don't know what to do yet.

@@GlamGirlGabi You would think Dyson would have found a way to make this an attachment to the AirWrap. Not a completely separate tool. It's like it utilizes the same coanda effect but from top and bottom, not just one side like the AirWrap attachments offer. It's genius really, but they could have made it just an AirWrap attachment.

Sooo excited for this. I'm sooo tempted to buy it! I work in a school and was getting sick non-stop. Taking vitamin D3 helped me a ton. I take it combined with K2 (you can buy them in one) to help getting calcium into my bones. I'm sure there's other things you can do too, but it's a great place to start. Also, I feel like illnesses were just crazy this year; it was worse than normal for sure!

I want this. I returned the air wrap bc my hair looked frizzy after using it and the curls didn’t last. I either air dry and then style straight or lightly straighten then curls with an iron. Is this a good tool for my needs who can straighten out the waves a little first before going in with the curling iron?

This is a particularly bad season for colds and viruses because we have all been in lockdown and quarantine so much over the past few years. I had two very long very bad colds all winter, and my allergies are worse this season. I have not been impressed by this tool. I like that flat irons can be used to also curl. I never ever want to see my hair pin straight and flat like this tool would leave it. Yours is the only time in all the videos I have seen that the hair actually came out smooth. Plus SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS?!?!? No. For a device that only makes hair straight and flat that is way too much money.
