Headache is because of eyestrain. Pace yourself and you'll have it less and less, as your eyes get used to converging without focusing (which is unusual in the real world).
PSVR2 is fantastic. Im a huge fan, get 5-10 hours in a week. After you develop your VR legs, you can turn off the vignette and the snap turning for more immersion. There is a massive catalog of titles so the backlog shouldn't dry any time soon. I highly recommend it for anyone that wants to step up their gaming.
Great video as always Anton. I’m so tempted to get a VR 2, it looks amazing! You playing Madison with the VR 2 was just pure comedy. I hadn’t laugh so much in a long time. We can def finish Madison on stream, with the help of the newtronians! 😂 So excited for the next VR 2 stream 🙌🏽
bought a PSVR2 last week and it is a mindblowing experience! It‘s my first VR and i instantly got addicted and felt in love with it! ❤ Red Matter blew me away!
the psvr2 is great, it isn’t expensive if you take into account all the technology that incorporates, re4 remake VR is mind blowing, the thing with vr is that you can’t show how amazing it is in a video you have to try for yourself
Bought a PSVR2 last week and almost returned it after the first day because it was so intense and I felt uncomfortable after the first sessions. Also the graphics looked blurry and were not what I expected during the first tryouts.. But... building those VR legs is a real thing. After a week of very short sessions, the graphics looking much sharper/ better now as if your eyes adapt to it after a while. Having a blast with GT7, finishing race after race without feeling motion sick. Just bought Sierra squad and having some good fun now. With the upcoming PC adapter coming in August, I think it's a good time to be or become a PSVR2 owner! 👍
Crossfire and madison on PSVR2 are insane..so glad at least one console manufacturer is committed to high end VR. So done with PS2 era VR graphics. Immersion is helped so much by high fidelity textures, lighting etc.
The PSVR2 is my first headset and I love it. Horizon Call of the Mountain is a stunningly beautifully game (bundled with my headset), and although it focuses on climbing moreso than combat it can be a meditative journey in the gorgeous world. The Machine Safari experience (aka the boat ride) can be a fantastic experience to let non-gamers enjoy the wonders of VR. I think you would enjoy Pavlov's shooting and gun mechanics, as well as the fun social aspect. (Or Breachers if you love Rainbow 6 Siege) PS Premium subscribes can enjoy a handful of games for free as well including both Walking Dead Saint & Sinners games and Kayak Mirage VR which i am about to try for the first time right now Have fun with the headset. VR is a hard ask but for those of us that have experienced it is really amazing seeing a sort of Renaissance of gaming throigh this hardware, albeit niche as it is.
Psvr 2 is really awesome....i got it when it 1st dropped ..& the biggest problem was price....& wasnt a wide library of games.....but ...now there are a good bit of games ...& the price is down....worth it now doe!!!!! Grand Turismo to me is still the best game on psvr2
VR will definitely mess with your head at first. If you stick with it you'll adjust and won't experience it anymore, or if you do it'll be pretty rare when it occurs.
Im playing Vr scince 2016 and it still boggles my mind how the majority of gamers just dont care about it or even trashtalk it. Like how are so many people rather watch through a frame (TV) and press buttons very seperate from the game when this tech is available lol? For price, a meta quest 2 (199$) or a meta quest 3 (400-500$) will do the job as well. No pc or console needed.
I have not purchased the VR2 YET, I was told it would play not only the VR games but you could play “regular” PS4&5 games also. Is this true? Thanks Gary. 👍🤛🦅🙏😎🇺🇸
Oof.. PSVR? I mean shure, there will be a "dongle" released so it can do PCVR, but sir.. a second hand Quest2/3 would have served you well, seeing there are so many more games and lest not forget.. MODS! (The UEVR injector dealyo that makes almost all Unreal engine games into flaily mode is pretty dope, and my personal favourite, Valheim VR mod to name a few) But one shall enjoy what is at hand, and i wish you many happy hours of flailing! (Sidenote, if you are serious about streaming VR content, i cant recommend PCVR enough, its possible to have chat windows and whatnot "pinned" in the view with em, might be possible with the PSVR too, but i have no clue if so.. with PCVR you can capture with the "open VR" plugin for OBS and as mentioned, have a "browser floating around or tacked to your wrist" so yeah, for ease of "streaming" it is mint)
I’m thinking on whether to get a PSVR2 or a quest 3. I already have the quest 2, but I’m really keen on the PSVR2, but is it worth forkin out all that money on it if Sonys not gonna make anymore games for it ? Need help to decide 😂
It’s an easy pass for me. I am more for a standalone headset that is free of cables and don’t need other machines to run it to enjoy VR and if I was going to go to have a complete other system in order to run my VR headset and have to use cables that I would just cough up the money and actually buy a decent Pcvrvrig and run my oculus quest three not to say that PlayStation VR isn’t great because it definitely has nice features. Unfortunately it’s a no for me due to the lack of games that actually shows their potential and also the price for what you get and what you have to deal with and by that I mean cable management having to have a PS five and once again the short of games I know that they’re making the PS VR 2 compatible where you can hook it up to your computer but once again, your relying on other software other than the headset itself to give you that performance
Psvr2 is awesome, i play a lot of Pavlov (shooter) and OVRDARK (horror) and enjoying it. And some good games comes to psvr2 like Phasmophobia and Ghost of Tarbor (escape from tarkov Look a Like)
Hey Anton, so glad you're loving it. For me, VR is the best thing to happen to gaming, literally, ever. Two words: Immersion and scale. It doesn't matter how big anyone's TV is: You could be playing a game on an IMAX screen - but *still* not get the same sense of scale that VR gives you. The only downside for me is that it makes all non-VR games seem inadequate by comparison. (My tip: Keep a fan blowing on your head while playing..!) I know the PSVR2 can seem like it's kind of pricey but, seriously, it is definitely the best value-value-for-money thing I have *ever* bought.
You'll get over that eventually and return to playing some flat-screen games. Some of the best for showing off the size and scale of VR are Skyrim, and FO4VR, especially with Physics and hand mods.
@@PandaGamingPodcastim in Vr scince 2016 and still have the same feeling about flat games. I mean its a different (imo inferior) expierence but you can obviously still enjoy it for more relaxed sessions no problem (I even got a Steam Deck) but my favorite times and moments in Gaming in the past 8 years were all Vr. Flat gaming just cant compete.
PS VR 2 is the best thing you can ever seen in life. And I experience a lot of amazing things. And people forget everything is special traveling Hotels cost more than p s five And vr together. PC graphic card costs $1000 just for that.
Don't believe the hype about Sony giving up. That's gas. They're putting tens of millions of dollars into helping 3rd party devs make PSVR2 upgrades for multiplat releases too. But yea it's amazing
Welcome to the PSVR2 community. Behemoth is the next big game I'm looking forward to and you definitely will want to check it out when it's available. It's hard to tell people about VR, it just has to be experienced. I'm looking forward to seeing more PSVR2 content here.
Awesome seeing people get into VR for the first time. I had a similar experience when I got into VR with the PSVR 1. Absolutely loved it. Haven't pulled the trigger on VR2 yet, but I plan to pick one up eventually. I agree the price is a huge issue. People don't truly understand the impact of VR until they've tried it (I think you'd agree), so most people are taking a leap of faith when they buy their first headset. The higher the price, the bigger the leap, and the fewer people who'll be willing to do it. Hopefully the price comes down permanently, or Sony figures out another way to make it appealing. Maybe they could bundle in a PS+ subscription, or give you a discount if you sign up for a PS+ contract. Anyway, some tips for starting out in VR. First, get a fan! It helps keep you cool and works to prevent motion sickness. Second, if you feel sick despite the fan (like you're sweating even though its cool in your room or you feel queasy), STOP! Trying to play through motion sickness makes it worse. Take a break until you feel better. Sometimes that might just mean pausing the game for a few seconds, other times you might need to take the headset off and do something else for a while. Third, pick up a few games that are less likely to make you feel sick, to help you acclimatize to VR. The thing that most commonly gets people feeling sick is moving with the analog stick. Maybe try Beat Saber, Synth Riders (free with PS+ Premium!), Tetris Effect Connected, Puzzling Places (demo available), or the Moss games (great for a VR newcomer). Motion sickness is something you can get past with a little bit of patience. Just take breaks if you start to feel a bit weird. You can also sort of push yourself by intentionally doing the thing that provokes symptoms for a split second, then stopping and waiting to fully recover (should only take seconds), and repeating it again. I did that with Skyrim VR and it helped me get over motion sickness immensely. As for the headset being dead, it's tough to say. It doesn't look like Sony is making more game for it, but they have been paying other developers to make PSVR 2 games or port their games to the headset. For example they paid Capcom to port Resident Evil Village and RE 4 Remake. Hopefully they keep doing that. There are some great looking third-party games coming later this year, like Metro Awakening VR, Alien Rogue Incursion, Behemoth, Arken Age, and Wanderer: Fragments of Fate. There's also already 200 games on the headset, so there's already lots to play. The RU-vid channel Without Parole just did a top 25 PSVR 2 games list which would be a good place to start. They know their stuff. Hope you keep on enjoying your headset. Looking forward to seeing more VR content!
So many great games. When you get to GT7, make sure you play with a fan on you for wind. Makes a massive difference. And definitely finish Madison. It’s incredible and gets even scarier.
Great to see psvr2 getting more love and attention. Madison was an incredible experience in it. Highly recommend synapse, legendary tales, Vertigo 2, red matter, tetris effect, 7th Guest, saints and sinners (could keep going, so many great games) The pulse explore buds go great with it too
Don't knock it till you try it... Walkabout Mini Golf is fricken awesome. And of course Beat Saber is a must for any VR owner. Your wife/girlfriend will enjoy those games too. They're great fun for gamers and non gamers
I haven't flat gamed in years. I highly recommend red matter 2 and propogation paradise hotel. They dont use reprojection and will not make you feel that ill
Had 8 HMDs going back to rift devkit 2, last one was quest pro for wireless pcvr but PSVR2 remains my favourite and the most immersive due to OLED, HDR and the awesome haptics. The best games are GT7, Resident Evil Village and Resident evil 4. Other stuff is cool but nothing much not on other systems, but those three are the best things I’ve played in VR even better than Alyx, flight sim and lone echo (on PC)
Pistol whip, synapse, the walking dead saints and sinners 1/2 gt7 res 4 and village all cracking games. Looking forward to aliens and behemoth and aces of thunder. Enjoy m8 have fun 👍
Great introduction to the PSVR 2 Anton, a great game on various VR platforms is Walkabout Mini Golf, it's fantastic for introducing people to VR and has cross platform multiplayer, they're always adding new content and dlc's. Happy Gaming!
Bought it day one and I setup a full cockpit with a direct drive wheel, load cell pedals, wind sim, and tactile transducers - it still blows my mind that I can sit in practically any car I’d want and feel so immersed - and I gotta say, the sim equipment makes the psvr2 seem dirt cheap 😁
So i got myself a PSVR 2 , and honestly i played the Walking dead games Chapter 1 and 2 , both amazing. I'm looking forward to Behemoth as it's still made by Skydance interactive, just like the walking dead games. Also, Something that wasn't mentioned in the video, PSVR 2 will have a PC adaptor soon in August.
The PSVR2 is cool, isn't it? For games, the PSVR 2 is the best for at affordable price, provided you already own a PS5. I have both a PSVR 2 and Quest 3. I use the Quest 3 for social apps like VR Chat, map programs, and videos (flat screen and 3D). The PSVR 2 is for games. The feedback in the hand controllers and headset, eye tracking and OLED displays make the PSVR2 very immersive. The Quest 3 does great with games, but the PSVR 2 is better. If someone wants to get into VR and they don't own a PS5, I would tell them to get a Quest 3 at a cost of $500 (or a Quest 2 at $200). If they do already own a PS5, I would recommend the PSVR 2 if they are interested in games only. The full price of the PSVR 2 is $550, but I see sales now for $400. A PS5 is $450. Comparing the all-in price of both, $850 to $1,000, to other VR options is apples to oranges. If someone loves games, get a PS5 and have fun with regular games. If they want the VR gaming experience, the price is $400 to $550 versus other VR options.
Amazing piece of kit. Don't believe the hype. This is the most affordable, most immersive high end VR experience you can get today. In case you didn't know, u can remove those blinders that come on sometimes. It's always worth messing with settings in VR games. Also, use a fan. Not only does it keep u cool, it's so immersive to feel wind on yourself, especially if you're playing a game that has you outside. After some time fo stop getting motion sickness. It'd a tolerance. Crossfire is insane. Definitely go deep into the controls options, you can really tweak it so much to feel and play how you want.
Great video as always Anton. If inflation wasn’t a great factor in modern day society prices wouldn’t be so high 😂 I would definitely buy the VR2 but my motion sickness is a big thing for me. I just can’t last in a VR for more than 5 minutes without feeling nauseous. Great Video and hopefully 60K by the end of summer 🤞
They had a $200 off sale after you made this and that’s how I got mine this weekend. It’s all I can think about at work currently so I can’t wait to play later! Definitely feel like this should be apart of the future of gaming after my experience. Synapse is 10/10
PSVR2, and just VR, in general is such a refreshing way to play games. I’d recommend Synapse and Synth Riders easily. Both amazing games. I think a ton of people would love VR if they had the means to try it, but they don’t, so sometimes they just talk down on it based on nothing. Hopefully you’re able to drown out the noise though and enjoy your headset!
Hey, awesome!! Welcome to the VR community and congrats on the new gear! The more people shining a light on VR the better for those of us who have taken the plunge. I had PSVR1 and played a lot of that. Then when it came time to upgrade I went with the Meta Quest 3 instead of PSVR2 for a few different reasons but I will get a PSVR2 eventually. Looking forward to seeing some new PSVr2 content coming!
We had almost an identical experience! Ended up buying it randomly on days of play sale and…. It’s sooo dang worth it (I am a huge RE fan)! It adds a different level to the games for sure!
Great video brother! And big W to Elz for telling you get it! 🎉 i would need to try out myself before i ever get one, but this definitely got me thinking about it
Im soo happy you got a VR. watching you reminds me of my first time on the VR1. I can play for hours and hours a DAY. You need to develop "immunity" to motion sickness, but it WILL happen as long as you keep playing constantly. I love my VR headsets, will never get sick of them! Do yourself a favor and play GT7 with a proper racing setup (wheel/racing seat)
My only gripe with the psvr2 is that they don’t sell the controllers separately. So after 3-5 hours you can’t play anymore till you recharge them. 🤨😒. Thats what is stopping me from buying it
I’m so happy when people put on and blown away, had it at launch and played 100s of hours, don’t even play flat games now to be honest, it just needs moor people like you to give your opinion.
It's f@#$ing incredible. Resident Evil 4 Remake is next-level in VR. One of the best gaming experiences possible. The first zombie who surprises you in the basement? I got so adrenalized and scared on my first playthrough that I stood over the body for like 5 seconds after downing him, just cussing at him for attacking me and stabbing his dead body over and over😂
Hi and thanks for the video. To be honest am still on the fence as to whether to upgrade from psvr one to psvr two as like you mention the cost is high especially if you have to purchase a ps5 as well , now don’t get me wrong , I love vr and was completely blown away by even psvr one especially the better games such as wipeout omega, resident evil 7, rush of blood etc . But trying to decide just looking at RU-vid videos of games on the psvr two on the most part I don’t feel that impressed on what on offer apart from a handful of games like horizon and resident evil 8 and 4 the rest of the titles don’t look that much better graphically that that of the better osvr one games . It’s unfortunate that there is no where to demo the headset in the uk unless you have a friend that would be willing to lend you there’s but I don’t . Do you really think it’s that much of an improvement over the first in terms of field of view and graphics ? Cheers
Great to see the headset getting some positive feedback, i have loved every minute of mine.. so much negativity, lack of games etc, there's absolutely tons of games and it's only a year old.. get yourself over to gt7 and prepare to be mind blown, not raced in 2D since day 1. Subscribed to see where you go with this 👍
Thanks for the sub buddy! Defo going to be posting more VR content just because I absolutely love it! I feel like there are loads of games! So many normal games to get through as well as VR!
Hi, newtro, hope you're doing good. My question is this that have you played the quest 2 before this, as I had it and now thinking to get one. Cuz when playing games in that game screen crops a bit when moving which affects immersive-ness. In terms of that is psvr2 different in terms of immersive gameplay and how is the controllers feels when playing different games, thanks.
I think what you're talking about is sometimes called vignetting or blinders. It's something games put in to make it less likely people will have motion sickness, but you can usually turn it off in the options. Some PSVR 2 games will have it as well (you can see it in this video), but again, most games let you disable it. One advantage of the PSVR 2 over the Quest 2 is that it has a wider field of view, meaning you can see more of the VR world and less of the headset. That adds a lot to immersion. Hope this helps.
Can you use PSVR2 to watch RU-vid in huge screen mode on PC? I used to use the original PSVR for this on PS4, because it's like watching video's on a 120" screen, or does it only work with steam and games?
Great video. I would love to own one or even have a go on one but its too expensive just to play on now and again. It does look epic though especially the shooting. I would love gt7 with a steering wheel etc but would cost a fortune. Thanks for the great content. I hope to see more Vr2 gameplay in the future
Glad youve joined the vr club, it truly is an amazing experience and a shame the experience cant be replicated if youre just watching in youtube. You just have to try it for yourself and like you said the price point is a bit expensive and the motion sickness is a barrier to entry as well as poor marketing makes it still a niche market. but for me it was worth the leap. I feel it reignited my excitement in gaming like when i was a kid. Truly revolutionary. Hoping it picks up traction so we get more AAA games in the future. Looking forward to more VR content
Hi you should defenetly try pavlov if you like shooters like this, it has a lot of game modes and its only 15£ and its multiplayer and you have a good sense of humor youll really like it trust me
Just got the psvr2 for GT7 and I was really disappointed in the fidelity that you get through the headset. Forget the crispy 4K graphics that you get on your flatscreen. It’s washed out and blurry. Also the tracking has issues when I’m in my play seat with steering wheel. Probably gonna sell it. Good to see you’re enjoying it though.
