A company did an experiment on what Brodie was talking about. They bought 100s of shoes from Payless for $10 each and opened a store in New York name Palessi (as in payless) and sold the same shoes for $300. They sold out in hours and people were saying how quality the shoes were. After people bought the shoes, the company gave everyone a refund and told them the shoes were a actually from Payless and people didn't want the shoes anymore because they were only $10 instead of $300. The world these days...
Yall should dress up fancy for your "Most expensive disc round." Some nice Suits and a Suitcase for your disc would be humorous! This could be very entertaining!
I do not know which is crazier, the company that tries to sell them for $700 or the ONE person in the whole world who paid the $700. LOL Loved the video.
Have you considered franchising or expanding Foundation stores to TN - specifically Nashville? I think one would work well here, and I’d be interested in exploring a partial ownership.
Ha. My son paid that for one of the original 7 all black "Get Freaky" Zones. I told him he was a fool. You signed it for him at the Des Moines Challenge.
Brodie that's awesome to hear people not on the low echelon of society talking like that. That's great dude. You're the man that's why I watch alot of your videos. God bless you dude
Obviously these people have never heard about collectible frisbees. I sold a white pluto platter for $800. I think the record on ebay is an American Trends pluto platter that sold for $2,600 (this might not be the current record). I know there are many one of a kind discs that have never come up for sale. I can well imagine a disc going for over $4,000.
That buckle strap makes it worth the $. I just ordered 10 of them @ 795$. I’m going to dye them and sell them for 50$. Is that a good business plan or nah?
So. On that whole Ray-Ban vs Prada thing. The reason this frisbee feels weird to you and the sunglasses don’t, is because you view the frisbee as a tool. And the glasses are a fashion item. In fashion, WHO made it is a huge part of the appeal, and so brands create more “real value” than they do in other industries.
I just hope you make $700 from the views. But seriously, a Prada disc game of ultimate with all the MPO guys. That video will make you well more than $700.
That's no CHANEL 22S Black Carbon Fiber CC Logo Frisbee Disc 34ck311s those are the most expensive discs outside one off unicorns, spec ed 1st runs, etc they are going for anywhere from $3,250.⁰⁰ - $8,900.⁰⁰
So I get that illusion of value is a huge thing, but this is such a basic example that it makes it absolutely ridiculous. With designer shoes, $100 shoes are sold for $1000, but I cant really understand it because I wouldn't buy them if they were $100. When you add in that there are shoes that are legitimately extremely well made and fashionable that reasonably could be $1000, and it makes it much easier to fake. This on the other hand... this is a frisbee. And not just that, I'd throw this to the sideline at pickup without a second thought and ask if anyone had a white ultra star. It's made of plastic, theres really not much more quality it can get. Obviously disc golf discs have a lot more variability and I can definitely see reasonable prices for high-end discs near $30, but theres only so good it can get, and this is clearly not even trying to be that type of disc
They skipped the hole in the background because of all your hollering and. Then you threw the frisbee right. At them and didn't shout a courtesy 🗣️four #discgoldcourtesy890 rated
