Yes, that caught me off guard. Why would he spend all that time to remove the bike from its shipping package AND THEN kick the bike to the ground. Then on top of that, point out scratches that he might have just created via his own fault. Give the bike a chance, put it together properly and then talk about it after it’s in the final form , ready to ride!! Geez
@@boydsmith2732 you mean stupid clown millenial humor ? only they can see the fun in it. Too much wrong (adult) cartoons while growing up not understanding anything of it, just copying. Kinda like the country he tries to mock.
I like how you kicked the bike off the platform then blamed the scuffs on the company lol...it is stuff like this that keeps me coming back to Bikes and Beards and SRK
@Jeff Lee I bought a very similar looking Chinese bike 11 years ago called the "TMEC". I don't do much other than use it for getting around town and other short trips, but it runs like a top with 6,500 miles on it. Only change the oil like every other year and a new battery about every 4 years. Very worth the $1,100 I paid which included shipping.
@@polartsang I've watched other videos he's made about Chinese bikes and he never reads the part where they say the title will be mailed separately. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case with this bike too. It took me 5 months of bugging the distributor of my Chinese bike to get my title.
@@darinvee4980 damn. Well find a Chinese friend to bug them for you and they will send it to you the next day. For some reason people in China loves doing business foreign but hate foreigners like to the guts, something to do with ccp propaganda
@@Lyfe164 I worked there for the summer i’m in highschool i asked him because it was different he been working there for years and he said he been driving that for 4 years
1- Title should come in the mail 3-4 weeks after (in some cases up to 2 months). 2- The smoke is probably just exhaust treatment (oil, to keep it from rusting). 3- Kick stand always disables bike, even in N. If you don't want that, you'd have to install the center stand. Almost all Chinese bikes do that. 4- Welds actually looked ok from what I can see. 5- What to do with it? Top speed, range, MPG! 6- Swap sprockets (rebelgears gets you nearly all custom front and rear sprockets at a budget). Quite often with a 1 tooth taller front, and a 3 to 10 tooth smaller rear, you can get much higher top speed, and better highway MPG, if you hit it right at the torque band on the highway! I like the looks, but not too fond of the 150 (or less) cc. It's too small for USA.
smoke could have also been the paint on the exhaust getting burned in, to cheap out they propably didnt heat the pipes in the factory to burn it in, and just expect it to happen naturally when using the bike
It's 250cc Current (factory) gearing = 55mph top speed I have had some compliments. I think it looks cool. I scrapped the gear shift linkage and installed a straight one.
This channel is actually mroe fun than yammie's for me now, Sean actually rides the bikes he talks about instead of speculating and hating on it before riding it unlike the other guy
The long clear plastic tube that comes in all the kits is for filling the battery. The short red one is the vent tube for the side of the battery and the long clear one is to fill it. It gives you enough length to be able to flip the bottle upside down to stop flow before moving the tube to the next hole.
"lets see if I can get this eye melting acid in the battery" >spills acid and then uses hand to touch eye area and expose eyes further due to wearing shades instead of safety glasses I love this channel
Yo... Every time i watch his dude he driving in bolts from the start with a 3/4 impact, no finger start or at minimum a more manageable driver, and wonders why bolts are stripping and breaking.
That's actually maybe the prettiest one you've done. I like the trials aesthetic. As for the smoke, might be an oil leak which is bad, but it could also be a cleaning or degreasing agent and it'll stop. The bike overall seems kinda sketchy tho.
The Magician is a Hawk with a different tank/seat shape. Same engine, etc. Supposed to be more approachable for people intimidated by the Hawks seat height, more like a Tw200 setup
I have got to tell you. Two years ago my four grandkids had to move in with me and my wife and of course they came with no clothes and no beds so I had to sell my 1300 Yamaha. They are still here and I have still not been able to ride. If that thing runs and drives I would love it so watching you kick it over like that made me want to cry
look into TwistedRoad or Rider Share, someone would probably let you ride their bike, I’m sure there’s even a 1300 on there. Btw you’re a good grandpa ✌️
Man, I hope I get to a place in life where I can spend 1200$ on something and talk shit on it the entire time I'm unboxing it... All with a smile on my face. What the hell did I just watch?
I stopped watching this. Way too cavalier and nonchalant being "cool" and downgrading the machine. My daughter has a bike that is a close relative of this, bought it in 2018 and while not of prime quality, it does it's job.
@@tjh7797 Maybe you should put together a listing of all these street legal "Japanese" bikes available for $1,200. This isn't 1995, any decent Japanese bike that would compare is well over $2000 these days.
Work hard and aim higher than you currently think is possible in your life, when you fail get right back up, aim higher and try again. Never stop and you will achieve success!
I've had my Magician for 9 months have about 400 miles on it so far. I absolutely luv it. I'm 5'0 tall so the smaller size is perfect for me. Also it is street legal, mine is tagged and titled in Colorado. I ride it in the dirt and on pavement.
Wow, didn't know the Magician was legal in CO, I know the Hawk and the Orion RXB's are not, but the Hawk DLX, all the Bashan products and the X-pects's are.. Did CO change their laws?
Funny enough, I actually like how that bike looks! I'd ride it 🤷♂️ Edit: If you are willing to risk your incredible investment, I'd love to see another extreme torture test of the bike similar to the Hawk "Amazon Dirt Bike TORTURE test" OR you can send me the bike in pieces through the mail. I'll put it back together with hot glue and tape. That'll be the REAL test!
When you say it’s the ugliest bike you’ve ever seen and kick it onto its side and I’m over here getting excited when I can get my 6 year olds razor electric bike to run on a Ryobi battery so me and him can ride it together cause it’s the only bike we can afford😂😅 It’s actually looks pretty decent!
i bought this bike in Feb, everyone always pokes jokes at it after telling them what it is. But it looks pretty cool honestly lol and its fun. especially for $1,200.
Put a high performance carburetor on it, give it a fighting Chance by going over all the nuts and bolts and torture test it! Oh and break in the engine to, looks like it was never even test started before🤣.
@@muddytiresmtb7415 I know, the round headlight missled me, its not a scrambler but with the round headlight it kinda is simmilar to ducati scrambler apart from the tank and seat which looks like the midframe collapsed lol.
I bought one a while back and fixed all the issues before even riding it for the first time. Most of the parts are clones of a honda cg230cc and a yamaha xg250 and xt250. I changed out all the crap parts like the brakes, carb, handlebars, all the lights, wiring harness, chain, sprockets, spark plug, etc. I stiffened and rebuilt the suspension and reinforced the frame with gussets and fixed the shitty welds. I added a few performance parts and rebuilt the exhaust to open it up. Also repainted it. Some of the parts I had from other bikes I never installed so in all I only spent just under 2k on it. I drove the bike for two years to work while I worked on my other project vehicles then sold it for 1800. I kinda miss that lil bike. I ordered it online for my wife to learn to ride it but when I got done building it she didn't want to learn anymore so I kept it. It was a huge hassle however trying to get it registered and a titled because no one at the dmv here had ever dealt with a Chinese bike, they couldn't even read the name on the mso which took a month to get.
Thats actually a kickass bike lol that would be perfect to learn on for someone who's scared of the bigger bikes. And I think you should give this one away to one of your subscribers. Go through past comments and see who deserves it the most. Find someone who wants to ride but a single parent who can't afford it . Anyone who was a vet to our country who's disabled or something of that nature. That would be something cool to see. Love the channel ❤ peace ✌
It’s a clone of the Yamaha 250 trickster. Got my self one and don’t regret it, gotta be a little mechanically inclined. Mine came in a horribly beat up box within a work week but with only a tiny birthmark. Other than all of that it’s a good light starter bike, it might just teach you a little about how a motorcycle works if you’re wanting to start out
You have to contact the dealer off of Amazon for the title on some models, and these bikes are dual sport 229cc Honda CG Clone engines, 5 speed gear box, 15-17hp, branded as a 250cc, it's a large motorcycle for China bikes, they're actually pretty cool, and pretty reliable if we'll cared for, I own a Tao Tao Tbr7 myself, very similar to the Hawk 250cc or CSC TT250, and you can order them fully assembled for an additional $100.00 I ride my little TBR7 Everywhere, I love that little bike.
I actually bought a Hawk 250, (end of 2021) never ridden a motorcycle before, and used bike were crazy expensive. if you can work on stuff yourself I would recommend for learning on the cheap.
@@Clearanceman2 You are thinking very very wrong. Think a year ahead, a Japanese dirt bike will depreciate lets say 20% and you were able to ride it all year. Chinese crap - probably will run for a month, you can kill yourself with it FOR SURE! and will depreciate upper of 90% in the end of that year.
I actually don't find it ugly at all lol and I have ridden some pretty ugly bikes in my day. You asked what you should do with it. Mail it to me and I will mail you a bunch of my handcrafted returning boomerangs in trade. I'll do a review of the bike and you do a review of my boomerangs. I know it's not what either of our channels are based on but fun t show our viewers something different. Just a thought.
I've had one for about 3 years, and I love it. I recently took mine about 100 miles off road with a friend on a KLX. After awhile we changed bikes, and I couldn't wait to get back on the Magician. Short legs and 35" seats don't mix very well. The only thing that I'm thinking of changing is the front tire for something better for off road.
0:29 Jokes on you........ you really DID go to prom with my mom. She is upset you didn’t call her because she had something to tell you.......... DAD! 🥺
They are indeed street legal and pretty decent trail riding.... Had A-blast on it for 2 years and then sold it for $900. To another poor fellow looking for his 1st bite.... They're fine & fun for The "not millionaires" club. Me. Most. Take the magician stickers off and have Is blessed day.
@@natecherek1713 They send it a week after Delivery is confirmed to make sure they're sending it to the right person. Had no problem registered getting tags insurance and had A-blast.... Did Have to keep nuts and bolts tight Every couple of runs
When everything is made in China, Malaysia, Indonesia and India, is it really quesiontable any more? Even the Japanese companies don't manufacture in Japan.
Lol, Anyone else want to see them do something completely out in left field and ridiculous, and turn this into a RELIABLE touring motorcycle? Windshield, bigger gas tank, better brakes, bearing assembly that wont take in water, comfy seat and shocks, little motorcycle case, nice tires, more power. You know... make a REAL abomination that is a waste of time/money and will turn heads in a WTF sense. Hahaha, I'm not sure they'd nail the reliable part though.
Awesome do a test old vs new chinese. Like an xr400 vs a chinese copie. I bet you the xrs win their the strongest bike ever. I did some rebuild series on xr400's and they surprise me every time how easy it is to work on.
Violently knocks motorcycle over onto concrete floor...5 seconds later, "Look it's got scratches on it. Look at these scratches. That's the quality we've come to love."
I just bought this bike and i absolutely love it yes ik its cheaply made but i bought it to wrench on and learn about bikes yes im mechanically inclined and know what im doing and all in all for the money its a great bike hopefully we see a full ride review before you destroy is @ Sean 🙄
If anyone has one for 600$ or less I’ll take it. But anyway, Shaun the reason I think it was smoking is because the engine doesn’t come with real oil in it, they usually come with “shipping oil” that u need to drain and replace w real oil
To me it looks like the slimmest ADV I've ever seen, with that chunky rear tire and the long forks. But i don't really understand in bikes i just like to ride them
When the front wheel fell on the disc brake, I thought: My goodness, how can you be so scatterbrained. But later you kick the bike over? I don't think it's funny. It may be a cheap Chinese bike, but it took someone work to make it and a lot of resources. There must be millions of people on earth for whom even this cheap bike is a luxury dream. What should they think about Americans who act like that?
