In 60s I ironed my hair. Put my long hair on the ironing board & ironed the curls out to have straight hair that was popular at the time. Worked great!
They used to sell the hat forms at Dollar Tree back when everything was a dollar. I used them for washing my husband's caps all the time. They also, helped the cap keep it's shape while it dried.
If you don't want to use the frame to wash the cap, I guess you can still wash the caps either by hand or in washing machine and then use the form to dry the cap to get it back into shape.
I owned 2 back in the day. Both my son and husband had multiple ball caps that needed frequent washings. I did the caps in the washer. The caps air dried in the frame.
Steam iron hang up the shirt on a hanger and steam the wrinkles out. This product isn’t meant to be used like a traditional iron. Also I watch all your videos!!! I have notifications on! Thank you for making these awesome videos that bring me joy.
ROFL...ironing clothes while wearing them!! 🤣 Been there, done that...ONCE!! 🙋🏼♀️🤪 I, too, have the scar to show for it 30 years later!! For me, it was a blouse while running late for work...side/upper hip took a searing!! 🔥🙅🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
I had a little travel iron like that. It had a silicone cover on the iron that was used to place it on when you were ironing. Is that silicone cover on now? If so, it wouldn't slide. It should be removed. One ironing and placed on the silicone cover in between to keep things from burning..
Didn’t everyone? Or is this a classic from the 1970s before microwaves? I can tell you that between irons, a handheld hair dryer, a hotpot (are those made anymore) and a popcorn popper, you can cook lots of meals in your dorm room! But hide them from the RA. She’l have to write you up. (I gave my residents lots of advance notice and was known to not see these items).
As a rustic camper, those wash wipes would be gold! Also, I can't believe you didn't mention this, they would be great in the doomsday bag!! 🤯 Love your videos! Long time subscriber/admirer 💜💜💜
I just recently found your Channel and I LOVE it🎉💕🎊 I've been binge watching. You're a joy to watch I can't help but smile. Thank you for your honest reviews and recommendations.
I have been using a baseball hat like that one. I agree it's updated version of the one I have been washing my sons hats for many years. Washing machine and let dry. The rest I just don't need. Trying to get rid of things, not add to a donation box. All in all I love your laugh vitality, spirit and fun videos. You also save me $$$'s while having fun. Love you Vivian. Don't ever, ever stop making these fun videos. You're so appreciated. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
I'm pretty sure that most cruises don't allow irons of any kind so you'll want to check before you go! They do recommend using some kind of wrinkle releasing spray or just hanging your clothes in the bathroom. I was hoping for a better review of the camera glasses. I ride my e-bike a lot and some pictures would be nice!
Do you have an Ollie’s nearby? They are like the original Big Lots, getting about anything under the sun like TJMaxx and Marshall’s. I bought some disposable Oil of Olay face cloths a while back and they are awesome!!! They are GREAT for times when you have excessive makeup or mascara that you don’t want to ruin a nice facecloth. You should get some for your cruise. There are probably 10-15 in the pack for around $5.99. And they hold up pretty well in water. They did not dissolve on me so you would just have to throw them in the trash. I was REALLY impressed so I gave them 5 Brenda heads!! Ha.
I cannot even articulate how salty I am that I can't get the strawberry & raspberry Rossini in my area!!! I neeeeed it in my life!! Don't make me take a whole road trip for some sparkling wine 😂
I wash my ball caps in the washing machine with warm or cold water. I’d use that to dry my caps.. I usually stuff the cap with a dish towel and let it dry. This would be a good dryer/shaper form, but the towel trick works fine.
Puerto Rican here living in Spain. . Wanted to say that here, when you get hospitilized everything is provided for you. That includes the pajamas. In fact, you can´t wear your own. On top of that you get those same soap sheets for showering.
I was just confirming that we owned 4 of these (bought at least 40 years ago) & have washed father's(a baseball coach), brothers, sons, grandsons caps in dishwasher all these years. Have given 2 away but still have & still use 2 of originals. Especially effective in getting that stain out of sweat band of caps. Really deserves10 Vivian heads!!! We dry right in cap form except for brother with big head. His was stretched over largest mixer bowl to dry. Just wanted to add that washing machine too rough on caps with spin cycle even on delicate wash: dishwasher much more gentle & uses less water. Ours had 2 partsthat went together sandwiching hat inside which helped shape it. We also used the dishwasher soap
I am cracking up watching you trying to fanagle that Iron🤣🤣🤣 it's crashing and burning right before our eyes! Yes...sometimes it's necessary to iron the clothes after you are already wearing!!!
Dollar Tree has a mini iron for 5 bucks in it's plus section, and I wanna try it so bad! It even has a removable cord!! It's marketed for crafts, but I don't see why it can't be used as a regular iron while traveling! I'm going to get one my next trip to DT, and I'll let you know if you want! 🖤
I’m guessing that the wine holder/cooler is tilted on the box because the picture is to large for straight up and down. The wine or whatever goes in your yeti cup to PTA, kid’s parties, etc…
Vivian, I have a theory that if you put that AcrylicWear wine cooler in the freezer all wet, it might give even crazier cooling action. I was a fine dining waitress and we used the same concept, but they were made of marble, stored in a freezer and we referred to them as "bricks". We would carry a brick to the table when serving chilled wines.
Aldi sold a small silicone iron rest. Curling iron sits on it as well. My mother has a small foldup iron she bought ages ago at Joann Fabrics. All easily fit in suitcase.
I just love your videos and how you tell it like it is sorry I don't have Instagram or tictoc but I follow you on RU-vid lot's of love from New Jersey 💕💖💕💖
They might not let you take that on a cruise. It’s my understanding that anything that is a steamer and that is an iron except for a curling iron is not allowed
Vivian, the wafer Catholics receive is the Body of Christ! 😆 You could have bought one of the steam irons on Temu the cheapest was around $8.50...... You crack me up when you don't read the directions and have no idea what's supposed to happen! I hate reading directions, too!!
Not into cruising. I usually stay at hotels who always have irons or visit family who definitely have irons. So I will pass on the itty bitty iron LOL!
I think the hat washer might just be good to store your hats too so they don’t get all wonky and out of shape. And you could probably hang them on one of those hanger hook things
