YOOOO A Corsair Carbide Air! I used one of those for my Haswell build in 2013... and actually still use it to this day. I loved it so much I built my brand new system inside it as well. Roomy, easy to work on and in, tons of airflow, and can fit enormous modern GPUs with no trouble. Having a functional CD / DVD drive in a modern system is kinda fun as well.

@@mrhappy8966 yeah it was Ryzen that shook everything up, prior to Ryzen all of Intel's CPUs (certainly the common ones, away from Xeons and the like) everything from Intel (up to and including 7th gen) maxed out at 4 cores and 8 threads, with i5's only having 4 cores and 4 threads.

@@mrhappy8966 Not really, the i7-8700K was released later in 2017 and was quite a bit faster for gaming than the early Ryzen's. For gaming the 8700K was still slightly better than Ryzen 7 3700X etc. but the 5800X and especially the 5800X3D for the same platform are better. So with the Intel you would have had better performance in games for 3 years (if assuming a CPU upgrade on AM4) but didn't have the upgrade path that AM4 had. i9-9900K was just a refresh with 2 more cores and slightly higher clocks. Though without Ryzen Intel might have stayed on 4c/8t on mainstream platforms for few more generations

@@RandomGaminginHD My i7-7700K, with 32GB of DDR4 3200Mhz RAM, a 1TB NVME, and an (11GB) EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 blows the doors off of that RTX3050, at 3840x2160. When the new 50xx Series GPUS's come out later this year, and prices drop, I "may" upgrade the 1080Ti to an RTX470Ti Super, and step up to 4k. But, as it stands right now, there isn't anything that I do that pushes my CPU past 50%. Maybe, I "might" upgrade to a 16th Gen in 2026. LOL I recently came across a BRAND NEW (still in the sealed antistatic bag) GigaByte GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK motherboard. So, I custom built a new "BLACK & GOLD" themed i7-4790K, Corsair (gold colored) 32GB DDR3 2400Mhz system around it. Unfortunately, the 4790K overheats. So, I am waiting on delivery of some ThermalGrizzly Liquid Metal. I'm gonna DeLid the CPU, apply the Liquid Metal, and see how far I can overclock it (maybe 4.6Ghz or 4.7Ghz???). But, honestly??? I get "as much as" if not "more than" enjoyment from building the PC's, as I do from playing games on them. I collect them like pieces of art, all over my house. 😂😂😂

@TurboLoveTrain
@TurboLoveTrain 17 дней назад
...I'm not sure why people started believing the GPU and CPU should have the same "load".. they don't even do the same thing. The CPU and GPU load aren't directly coupled--that's why you use a GPU so the CPU can offload all of the heavy lifting to it. The CPU is managing the OS, the MMC (which isn't part of the CPU even though lots of people mistakenly believe it is) is managing the memory and the GPU is essentially a totally separate computer dedicated to (usually) graphics. Bottle necking doesn't mean key components are running at different loads, bottlenecking means one of your component isn't running at optimal for certain applications because another component it relies on can't keep up. Bitcoin miners, for example, don't give a shit about CPU load at all. This is all a workaround for x86 garbage register limitations that have been around since the 80s.

I'm still rocking a Corsair Air 540 myself too! Got it for 35€ back in 2017, it's missing the additional hdd cage for the second chamber but fans has been swapped for NZXT one and the first owner had some fun repainting the mesh from white to red. Mine is housing a Ryzen 5 5600 and RX 5600XT rig. I did found a great deal last month for a practically brand new cheap office i5 9400 8gb ram and 500 WD SSD made by some obscure SI for about 80€. Got a gtx 1070 for 110€ added some fans a new CPU cooler and my older beQuiet 600w PUS(replaced this year with a MAG A750GL), and made a decent budget gaming PC for my older brother. Wish I could have found a deal on a case before shipping it, but alas nothing decent at the time.

My current gaming rig case has the white version of that Corsair case, and I absolutely love it. Lots of space for fans and radiators on the front and top sides in addition to the 1 fan at the rear. And like you said, lots of space to hide the PSU cables on the backside of the motherboard which is very nice. Additionally, the case has 2 caddies for sliding in 3.5" drives (or 2.5" drives with adapter sleds) with mounted connectors which is so cool (you can see the sleds at 5:35). Also there is room for up to 4 additional 2.5" drives on the backside next to the PSU as well (shown at 5:46). I doubt I will ever need to upgrade this case as it is functionally perfect.

Thanks for the video! My suggestions on cheap and sensible upgrades: 1. The antec needs an i7 3770(k) or a 3rd gen xeon from ali and someting like a 1070 or 1660. Four cores don't really cut it anymore these days. 2. The corsair needs a 1080 or a 6600 and that's that. And you are right: why would you build a new machine around the 7700(k) when the i3-10100 exists and offers an upgrade path? Not to mention 3rd gen Ryzens...

I've had the Antec 300 back in the day with an i5-3570k , my dad did used this pc later until 2020. I liked that case a lot. 😁

I own that Corsair cubic monstrosity. It houses an i7-6700K that has put in a LOT of work. The case is humongous, but a dream to build in. :0)

Your "assistant" gets distracted way too easily! That Corsair case is a monster. 7700K is getting a bit dated for gaming but an RTX 3050 is a really good GPU for it to work with. Looking forward to seeing more.

Delidind and applying liquid metal between the die and heatspreader works wonders with the 7700k. 15-20°C drop in temperature. I got mine from 90°C at 4.75 GHz to 80°C at 5 GHz.

My i7-7700K is currently running at 32C, on the original paste. But, I am also waiting on delivery of some liquid metal, for an i7-4790K that I have. 😁😁😁

@@curtis.albrecht.79 The CPU in the video seemed also way cooler than mine with 4.5 GHz. Guess there is some thermal paste lottery involved. 😅

More doggo plz. I just made a build with an i7-6700k that was inspired by finding a z270 asus prime mobo in the trash around the corner. I was suprised to find that it still worked, as well as the G4400 processer that was slotted into the motherboard. It was likely from an old Mining rig. I found a cheap i7 on ebay and am surprised at how well it keeps up! Especially with a solid overclock. I made the build really fancy with a nice white case, white cables, and painted an old evga blower style 1070 i had lying around white, then added Bluetooth and wifi. Ended up passing it on to a friend for $450. I didnt make much profit by any means, but it was a nice experience to build it and i didnt lose anything to it but some time. well worth it in my opinion. keep an eye out in your neighborhood for some trash-can deals!

Taking e-waste and building it into something valuable is strangely more satisfying than the tiny profit to be made from flipping. That's not to say that I refuse the profit. 😏😏😏

Ooo I do likes that square case a lot, big cavernous cases means super cooling packages and despite it being a bit crusty on the edges my Coolermaster HAF-XM has always been a solid investment since I bought it years back and means you can fill the insides with 240mm fans for serious heat extraction. My CPU cooler is an oddball, a Coolermaster G100-MasterAir which is a flower type built around this thick thick single heatpipe, folks slated it but it keeps my Ryzen 5 nice and cool with a reasonable overclock and I paid very little for it brand new too. Downside is you can't use ram cooler sticks, only standard sticks will fit under the flowery bit but the plus side is it does spread cool air around the whole base of the cooler so the mosfets and ram, major IC's are kept nice and fresh too.

While the channel is not really about it, the second case is quite interesting for a potential server build considering you can put 6 hard drives in it and maybe a few more with two IcyDocks in place of the disc drives.

That's crazy I had almost the same build as the first computer in 2011 but the ti version of the 560. The 2500k was a legendary cpu it served me well till the first Ryzen came out.
