When I first drilled and used my Gem I thought me and it just didn't get along and for a while I put it up. In the last few months, I got better at reading what a ball can do, how I should use it, as well as studying other aspects of the game. I can say that the Gem is always in my bag now. I bowled against future PBA pro and 1x Major winner Gary Faulker several times in high school. He was obviously the best youth bowler in the area even as a freshman and was avg 200+ as a junior. I always loved going up against him and bowled some of my best series against him, including my first 600 my sophomore year (I was ~170 avg at that time). Even managed to take a few games off him, my absolute best could compete with his B game. I think he might have struggled a little bit against us bc he is a lefty and we had several lefties on the team (including me) so he had to deal with more oil pattern adjustments than he was used to and we were more used to it playing together all the time.

After watching this vlog and the music in the beginning of this video, had me bowl my best game in league.

You bowled great! I know that you have to play the conditions that differ on each lane, but it looks like when you used the Gem, you had by far the best pin carry. I only saw one flat 10 out of all the times you threw the Gem. That thing just refused to leave you any corner pins. So, yeah, if it's possible to use the Gem, use it Darren. Skill counts for a lot, but pin carry is real too.
