It’s insane how skilled Floyd is still even in retirement and at his age.. the guy is a god at boxing.. mad respect for getting in the ring with him regardless of the outcome and I’m sure it was an experience you will cherish forever.. you actually did pretty damn good too considering he’s basically a god..
Floyd Mayweather is undoubtedly one of the greatest boxers of all time, and his skill and technique are truly impressive. Despite being retired, his dedication to the sport has kept him in excellent shape, and his continued success is a testament to his hard work and talent. It's always a privilege to step into the ring with such a legend, and any opponent who faces Floyd deserves respect for their courage and determination. Even if the outcome may not always be in their favor, the experience of competing against such a skilled opponent is one that they will likely never forget. As an AI language model, I don't have a personal experience in boxing, but I agree that anyone who faces Floyd Mayweather deserves recognition for their effort and resilience. - ChatGPT
Yeah, it's like Floyd Mayweather was born with boxing gloves on his hands and a championship belt around his waist. The guy's moves are smoother than a freshly shaved head, and his punches hit harder than a freight train. He's so good, he could probably knock out a bear with one hand tied behind his back. But hey, Logan Paul still lasted eight rounds with him - that's longer than most people would last in a staring contest with Floyd. So let's give credit where credit is due, even if it's to a mere mortal standing in the ring with a boxing god
You held your shape, you didn’t panic and you didn’t overreach. Against the level of opposition you’ll face in the RU-vid tournament, you’ll have no problems whatsoever.
Respect fam. Even though you were outclassed you remained humble and controlled your anger. A lot of people are incapable of both of those when sparring. Especially when they’re getting hit and can’t hit.
wow what an honor. I don't get to see that many boxing matches this close. it's amazing how fast and accurate he is. His smack talk was fairly polite too... mostly boasting about himself and no personal attacks at you.
Don't feel bad, everyone who fights him feels the same way. They know what they should be doing but he makes you do the other. Salute to you and thanks for sharing.
Floyd is one of the best defensive fighters ever. He slips and rolls like no one else. Even at almost 50 you can see that natural ability and muscle memory at work. You did really well considering you got thrown in with one of the greatest on short notice and obviously the difference in experience levels.
Straight up nothing but mad respect for you to get in there head gear on or not still taking punches from the GOAT is still a memory for the books and will stick with you forever. I don't think you truly realize how blessed you are to train with him like that honestly that's a million dollar training lesson right there.
@@ZoupTR alis in a completely different weight class and boxed decades before mayweather, ali was truly before his time but to compare the two is like trying to decide the "goat" of all ufc, between mcgregor, usman, khabib, Anderson Silva and Francis that's going to be a lengthy discussion, they're definitely the greatest in their weight classes or were the greatest during their time but come on man if you really love boxing you gotta give respect where it's due I don't like how much he turns his back and complains about getting hit in the head when it's his fault though but when he's serious he's incredibly fast, accurate and his defense is solid
Not true homie when Ali fought he was beaten not once but five times!!!! & he was considered to be much more a superior fighter so no Ali wasn't better than Floyd beat all the people that fight fanatics said would beat him! Shane, Oscar,Canelo,Manny, Cotto,
crazy because he didnt throw a punch for a single minute but all he's doing is calculating your distance as soon as he realized he wasn't missing with that jab hahaha
This will give you such a mental edge you’ve sparred the best ever, TBE. Congrats for holding your own. To see how far you’ve come i’ve been watching you since 2016 and i’ve been a fan of floyd for yearssssssss and too see this is crazy
@@imitatorofJesusChrist My God 🤦♂. I can name over 50 boxers better than Floyd. I'll just give names of the more popular ones. With that being said. The list comprises Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Robinson, Gene Fullmer, Jake Lamotta, Carmen Basilio, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns, Sonny Liston, Ron Lyle, Earnie Shavers, Roberto Duran, Larry Holmes, Ken Norton, Gerry Cooney, Kid Gavilan, Ike Williams, Willie Pep, Jimmy Young etc etc.
There’s levels to this Floyd is light years ahead of everyone he can still get in there with pros in actual fights and win he’s that good Respect to Jarvis for sparring him and connecting on a few punches 👏🏽
@@mustwatchthis50 literally any top dog at 147. Spence, Crawford, Ennis. Even Thurman or Shawn Porter. Floyd’s still sharp asf but he’s old and brittle. He will not have enough firepower or pop to keep these young lions off of him
I honestly think you did well you weren't gassed which is already hard doing 3 min rounds with one of the Goats. Talk about the chance of a lifetime being able to step in the ring with Floyd..like you said you will never forget this. #RESPECT
Ill say you deff gained a subscriber from me. Before I watched the sparring footage, I thought you were just some youtuber trying his hand in the sweet science. After watching I have nothing but respect for you man. You held your own in that ring and im sure you learned a lot from one of the greats. Im jealous lol. good shit man, I will be tuning in a lot more.
What an opportunity! Congrats! U done good man for how big he is in the boxing world you didn’t just move scared & not throw anything, you went in for the level ur at! Keep going
Bro you did good, you got big balls stepping up and sparring with Mayweather, I’ve seen many fights with Mayweather and they were all good but for some reason this fight presented more detail because of the lack of distractions, I saw him even utilize the shoulder roll technique, Oh my goodness the dude is fast, it’s incredible he’s still able to move like that.
You did great you were in there with one of the greatest. Even now he's still so fast and you were awesome with the way you reacted. It's awesome he's coaching and sparring at the same time
What a great experience, it looked like he treated you the same he would have one of his sparring partners for a big fight... that's a real sign of respect, nice work.
Hats off to Floyd for giving an unknown a chance to test himself against one of the best in world for free. Hats off to Jarvis who jumped into the ring with a world champ with no notice and looked good doing it. The fact that he even landed a shot against a legendary defensive world champ was impressive in itself. Great stuff!
Wow bro. This is foreal impressive, this is true experience you're getting right here and you're about to come out of this sparring session so much better. Good vid too btw.
I admire the fact that you know he isn’t really trying and you’re taking it as a lesson like a genuine person, when you got people like Logan or Deji saying “nah he was trying to hurt me, nah I won that round” ect
Great job Jarvis. You did well. You actually looked comfortable in there like you knew what you were doing. That's saying a lot considering who you were in there with.
You looked great in there. I was really impressed with your speed and your will to keep coming forward even with mayweather peppering shots. Big respect
I dont know what is more impressive the fact that Floyd still has it at 40 something years old, or that Jarvis has brilliant boxing skill and actually gave a few shots back!
i have been boxing for nearly 25 years and what i got from this is you need to get off the center line more with your head which also allows different angles. basically watch this a few times you will see how floyd gets multiple angles y walking the outside and then coming and using pivots and utilizing the legs. you definately need to bend more on the knees and throw way more feints as not every punch needs to hit but make them flinch. obviously your working with a top coach so you will get this overtime and this sparring is valuable if you watch it back over and over to see your weaknesses. look at any great boxer and its the constant movement that makes them hard to hit and hard to read there is however a few exceptions like foreman as he moved in like a slow tank but had great angles.
Bro shut up. Im an amateur boxer but no advice is going to help him against one of the greatest boxers in history. "Head off the centre line" as if floyd wont know how to deal with that
@Apom Taylor bro why are you butt hurt? And join the line of a million other amateur boxers. I never said that your advice wasn't good advice because it was actually pretty good advice but that wasn't my point.
MAN YOU GOT COOKED! 🤣🤣🤣 naaa but seriously i had no idea who you were seeing your reaction and your thoughts from live action you've gained MAJOR RESPECT! #keepgrinding
"The only way I could hit him is if he hit me back, we traded" I laughed so hard. I appreciate that you don't take yourself so seriously. A rare trait at your age.
Great job honestly! He was definitely peppering you, but we're talking about the best fighter in the world over the last 30 years and he is blazing fast. You kept your composure landed some decent shots and you didn't give up on yourself. Respect!! That's awesome you got to spar him
His footwork is extremely well builded, and he's attacking he does it with bringing his arms as close as possible to you , and this is how you don't see these punches , upper body movement it outstanding, Man this guy is just perfect he's looking at open zones of the opponents body and one blinking will cost you 3 shots I the face lol , for me he's the best boxer ! And you my friend are very very good too !
Jarvis did amazing in the sparring. I'm not a fan or whatever, just know of him from boxing but this spar was a great account of himself and Mayweather wasn't holding back as much as he did against Deji.
Jarvis is lucky that this spar included headgear and big gloves because if it was professional with 10 ounces and no headgear with Floyd having the intention to hurt him it would be lights out for Jarvis even though Floyd is nearly 50 😂. Fair play to Jarvis though he did great
One of the ways Mayweather is so good defensively is his head control - every time he throws a combination one arm is always used to control the head or the space to minimise options for counterfire. He's the best at that though. Very impressive you managed to do as well as you did.
