My vivaro did the same. Egr valve take the cog out the top off it. Centre punch. It worked again

Excellent advice Ben.I changed the turbo on my cousin’s Vauxhall mokka this week, saved him some money. Runs spot on now

Been there mate we run the Renault traffic version called Barry . Lovely vans but eat sensors and agree totally Autel system we bought one and haven't looked back makes my job so easy definitely money well spent for sure. Nice to know I'm not the only recovery driver that needs recovering ,Ems come and saved me many a time . Great informative video bud have a great weekend ,Mark Emily and the gang

School boy error there, why didnt you disconnect the mafs when it died on you, would have saved allot of faffing about, .especially as its a known common fault on the "diamond of doom" .cheers,.

Because I've had 2 mafs fail before and both times presented differently. It was also biblical rain. I opted to go back once rain stopped. Cheers

Them 2.0 litre m9r engines are a pain in the arse i have one always playing up sat on drive now for past year gave up on it

@SleafordRecovery Mines been a nightmare bought mine needed new head had that done then bmc went then injectors went so while looking at them we noticed lots of oil in turbo pipe and tolded not to bother so its my shed on the front drive. When it worked it was lovely to drive

Yeah the 2.0 is garbage, shame because the 1.9 it replaced would do 200 k with regular oil changes.

@@dennisphoenix1 the 1.9s were good like. My 2.0 has had the chain replaced and the injectors, has oil changed every 7k miles and I'm hoping she will see 300k. Oh....and 3 x MAFs now 🙄

My 11 plate vivaro sportive has been sat dead on my drive for 18 months now with an immobiliser not switching off fault suspected body control module, need to try and find a way to bypass it just to have it running. It turns over really fast but won’t fire.

If it turns over fast are you sure the chain hasn't snapped?

@@SleafordRecovery I’m not certain no, that’s why I’m hoping to bypass the immobiliser and get it fired up. It was driving fine then one day refused to start and the immobiliser light doesn’t go out. I’ve had the Bcm out (what a crap location that is!) and apart and nothing looks fried. I’m hoping it’s turning over fast due to lack of fuel due to fuel pump immobilised? I’m not an expert. Dabbled in mechanics over the years but no training.

I tried disconnecting my maff sensor on my Renault Traffic and engine just cuts out. I have no power pulling away and black smoke. Should I just buy a new one. Cheers

Sounds like you have a boost leak mate, check all the hoses from the turbo to the intercooler.
