My most recent run is an egalitarian fanatic xenophile run with the Common Ground origin so I start in a Federation and HOO BOY does a diplomat-heavy empire create some strange occurrences! I got lots of primitives early on, so I made sure they were part of the Federation. Almost to the mid-point of my run, I had teched-up enough to bring back those In Limbo aliens as synths. They went and colonized a system bordering another empire who had the Scion origin, making their own empire called The Awoken. The overlord of the Scions was the Spiritualists. And a bunch of synths was on their border. Then The Awoken asked for me to be their protector, which made them a part of the Federation. The Presidential succession was on ROTATION. The Scion empire was middling to me, not outright hostile. Despite this, the MOMENT The Awoken became the President, they went to war against the Scions. DRAGGING THE ENTIRE FEDERATION INTO THEIR WAR. The overlords of the Scions, the Spiritualist Fallen Empire, came to their aid. THIS KEPT HAPPENING, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, because ROCK-BOTTOM AI ALLIES WOULD NOT STOP ATTACKING THE SCIONS. I ended up being the only empire in the Federation able to go toe-to-toe with the Scions and their Spiritualist overlords. I have carried them to THREE DEFEATS IN A ROW. At least they were all Status Quo, but STILL. I’M FANATIC XENOPHILE I SWEAR PLEASE STOP DRAGGING ME INTO YOUR DRAMA

YUS! Also, I feel I’ve heard “Good Guy Run” a lot here. And most of the time, it’s border “Good Guy.” xD Keep it up Lath. :D

Just to clarify WHY the psyborgs aren't a thing anymore, they were removed with the Nemesis update. They made psyonic pops incompatible with cybernetic implants to stop you from making psyborgs which is a shame. What Lathrix was doing was possible in previous updates but it's not possible anymore. Also Lathrix that description is rather spiffing don't you think.

i can never be bothered to create empires vastly different so you give me stellaris variety

For future reference regarding the Federation Fleet, because of how it is set up a ship doesn't count towards the fleet size until it has finished building so as long as you have alloys and are below the maximum fleet capacity you can spam Federation ships far above the maximum fleet size of 400. Which for massive alloy producers like The True Path here means they can heavily abuse the fleet and make it an unkillable death stake that can never be defeated and forever rule the galaxy with an iron fist, though it will slowly be whittled down over time as any lost ships can't be replaced until the fleet goes under the capacity limit at which time you can spam build ships again. Also surprisingly the ships for the GDF fleet count towards the fleet size automatically as soon as they start building so why the Federation fleet hasn't been fixed yet is a very weird mystery that I hope never gets solved.

Oh boy, can't wait to see how you manage to somehow turn into the bad guys! (again) love the video man amazing so far.

This reminds me of Orson Scott Card's book, "Xenocide", where there is a Chinese, Taoist world called "Path" Where they follow the rule of the chosen, godspoken few. I will avoid any more spoilers. Very good book. I'm sure anyone who even clicked on this video would love it. Good read.

This is pretty cool narrative-wise. There is a galactic war raging, Interdimential hunters slaughtering trillions of lives, and a single pacifistic gecko empire just trying to make living in the mists of it all.

I think this is my new favorite video xD So much chaos! I like how it looked so much like Regulators were gonna lose, but they came back and decimated the other awakened empire. And seeing you breaking the fleet size was hilarious haha Thank you for sticking to your plans btw and not just making changes that would make it "easier" I wanted to see a fanatic pacifism playthrough and got it :)

Since that moment, your jovial tone and brilliant Impromptu comedy combined with the fact that, unlike so many other RU-vidrs out there, you are able to play games and you put genuine thought into them, not making dumb mistakes like that one games journalist who couldn't figure out how to jump off of a block for cuphead. Furthermore, you say aloud your thoughts, giving us insight into them, and ideas as to what we can do ourselves, and the moments where you get really excited because an awesome idea has just occurred to you and we can hear the joy barely contained in your voice puts the largest smile on my face. I then checked when your channel was created, and it was 2013. I have been around, watching your channel for more than half of its life. And it doesn't feel like it. Your videos have gotten me through so many tough times, and I've always known that your videos will come eventually to cheer me up whenever something happens. You have been my favourite youtuber and your videos my favourite pastime ever since I first found you, and that has never changed. I have watched your career with great interest, and will continue to do so as long as I can. I wanted to spell out my appreciation for you, as you always make my day so much better, and I hope I can do the same for you, like we all do.

Side note, if you go with the option to lead the league during War in Heaven if you are the predominant force it will actually make the non-aligned to join your Federation, not the other way around. Especially since you were leading the only Federation and stronger than the FEs that would actually make most of the neutral join you very fast.

I love Megacorp playthroughs, focusing on money makes things very amusing. My most favourite playthroughs with Megacorp were with Necrophages and with Death Cult, in both cases I called my MegaCorp "Death is Stonks", it was hella fun to RP in my game.

What's about a game of a Rogue Servitor? The Paradise Project, an AI that was catering to their organic creators from the dawn of time on an entire ringwold. But the ringworld wasn't a paradise for the rich - it was a refugee center for an ancient race. Like, Fallen Empire ancient. And at some point the deteriorating ringworld led to the AI finally deciding to reach out into space, to see if the ancient crisis is no more. And seeing the other xenos, both known and unknown, the AI knew that another crisis is coming - and its prime directive is to gather all the organics on as many ringworlds it requires. And to keep them all safe from the upcoming storm. Basically a challenge to get all organic pops of the galaxy to safety before the crisis starts munching on them.

I would love to be a fly on the wall between The True Path's ambassador and its minion's ambassador. Minion: "So looks like war's afoot." TTP: "Looks like it." Minion: "Listen... I'd like to help out-" TTP: "Absolutely not! You're not allowed to leave the Federation!" Minion: "But..." TTP: "No buts! You're not allowed to leave me!"
