Thanks for tip on tightening the zerks. I will definitely be checking mine. The paint marker is an excellent idea too. I also hit any exposed bare metal with Surface Shield to deter rust, like your pallet forks.

When I got a battery grease gun I greased every fitting I could find! Mind blown... Expensive yes. But you'll just complain about grease tube prices after getting one.

Being a machinist by trade I'm thinking all the same things that you are when you are removing easy outs or something that makes a job so great when you break something inside of a tapped hole.
