In attempting to fix my wife's 2012 Mercedes C250 Coupe, I ended up doing more damage. I accidentally knocked a freeze plug (aka expansion plug) into the engine!!! After a lot of fiddling, I finally removed it without tearing apart the engine. See below for links to parts used and more videos:
