#arrma #hobby #rccar In this video, we show what broke on the Arrma Typhon Grom! Is it a weak spot? I’m not sure about that, but leave it to me to break a new rc!🤣 Thanks for watching, please like, comment, and subscribe!
Good mindset. My son loves his grom and the differential stripped after our 6th battery. And shocks are dead. He hits everything he sees. It gives him an opportunity to take things apart and see what makes it work. Seen a few videos of anodized arms and skid plates looks really nice but adds up to be over a $400 RC.
It’s always good when the younger ones can learn first hand! It’s a good car for the money but like any of em, will break eventually!😬 Thanks so much for watching!👊😊✌️
It sucks when you see others bashing these hard and all is well and nothing breaks, but then you go to give it a rip and mild bash and it brakes on you! I’ve experienced this too and don’t always understand it. You’re right though, it’s part of the hobby, just wish it wouldn’t happen in isolated cases or to nice guys like yourself. I’m sure it’s still a great vehicle and a fluke as well. Looking forward to seeing it out again as well as your paint work on that body shell. Have a great finish to your weekend Jeremy!👊🏼😎
Thanks Robby! Hopefully it’s just a one-off kinda thing. We should have it back up and running next weekend! Fingers crossed it holds up after that! I appreciate your kind words brother, have a great upcoming week!👊😊✌️
Hey Jeremy, glad it was just that small piece that broke and nothing major, a quick (not really quick) fix and it will be back up and running. Then you can take it out on the track for the summer series.
Ah, yes, I was curious what had broken on this one, you explained it really well! I hope you get the parts quick enough and you're able to fit it all back together just fine, hope it won't drop out again. I think I saw somewhere there is an all steel upgrade also available, if it keeps being a problem... I'm looking forward to seeing that Sand Viper, it's one of the most beautiful Tamiya bodies in my opinion, it's a great buggy!
Thanks Mads! We should be on the road again by next weekend! Hopefully it was just a one-off; I’ll guess we’ll see!😬 I put a few pictures of the Sand Viper up in the community section! Thanks again!👊😊✌️
Yessir, the parts will be here by Thursday so we should be up and running again by the weekend! Thank you my friend, best wishes to you and your family!👊😊✌️
Hi Jeremy, interesting to see what went awry, luckily it's only a little thing but that tiny pin escaping completely loses the drive to that wheel. Looks like a defect to me and hopefully a one-off. Fingers crossed! 🤞😎👍
We’ll find out if it’s an inherent issue or a one off! We should have it fixed by next weekend so we can continue testing it! Many thanks Mark, I hope you and your family have a great Easter!👊😊✌️
Hopefully it is just a fluke thing and not going to be a reliability issue. At least you were able to grab the parts and will be able to get it fixed quickly. It always sucks when you break on the first run but it was rocking and rolling before it broke.
It sure was going well! It took some hard tumbles and had a pretty hard slam into a board so that may have caused it.🤷🏻♂️ The parts should be here so we can get it patched up by next weekend! It drove real well though and I like it! Thanks so much for checking it out Addam, a great Easter to you and your family!👊😊✌️
It was an odd breakage! We should be running again by next weekend and hopefully it doesn’t happen again!😂 Thanks for watching, take care my friend! 👊😊✌️
My arrma granite voltage breaks every run from the first time I ran it after buying it 2 years ago at Horizon fest . Gave me a bad taste for arrma unfortunately
That’s too bad! My Fazon Voltage was tough as nails! The Grom breakage was unfortunate, but parts are ordered and should be fixed next weekend! Thanks Thad!👊😊✌️
That looks like to me a faulty cvd end that hole you said that looked elongated probably was made like that and that's why the pin could pop out because they use the capture springs over that part that don't let the pins fly out..so faulty made part I believe! easy fix.
It sure does!!🤣 We should have it back on the road by next weekend and we’ll continue testing it! Thanks a lot David, a great weekend to you and your family!👊😊✌️
You were def taking some hard rolls on that old concrete area…I feel like speed and bashers are insanely strong…and take a lot to break but if it’s the right hit sometimes you get unlucky? Time wil tel if it is a weak spot! Dog bones and cups always feel suspect to me.
