wow! i don't know how you do it. do you mind saying what you play on? i only ask because i play on a macbook pro and don't have any issues. i don't have a fancy pc setup or anything lol
Not sure if you noticed, but the apartments weren’t filling because the amount of Sims you were trying to fill the vacancy with didn’t match the listing. The number of Sims plus the amount they can pay in rent needs to match, and have a check mark to fill it. Just fyi!!! Loved the vid lol
@@MsWolfMidnight Look at 9:49 - she clicks on unit 17, then clicks on a tenant with both check marks and it still doesn't work. Then she does the same thing again and it doesn't work again. It was bugged.
For me, the hundred units per save limit seems entirely reasonable. Unless you have a gameplay style that will send you across multiple families at a time, you likely won't end up even needing to make that many rental lots in a single save. Personally, I have plans to make maybe one or two apartment buildings max in a fresh save that I will actually play with. Otherwise, I'll probably just be building townhouses that I won't use.
i agree, like i definitely am not going to put residential rentals in every neighborhood. especially not the occult worlds, san myshuno or evergreen harbor because for my gameplay style they don’t need any rental lots.
@@kwizzeh And unless you're filling them all with one to two sim households you likely wouldn't be able to fill all 100. I might be able to since I have over 500 sims in my save but I'm probably not the norm.
If lilsimsie ever needs a resume, this video should go at the top of it because the mental control needed to survive this lag is unreal lol. It's almost unbearable to watch haha
This would be so neat for those challenges where you run a prison though. Set every cell as a rental unit, your warden quarters as the landlord's unit, set the rent to be a bit over the taxes (the feds are paying you per prisoner), set all the common areas and activity space as shared.
I made it my goal to not watch any of these videos before i get the pack on Thursday, but i simply cannot resist to see the utter chaos that is about to be caused 😂
Wait, this is something I actually didn't know: so can you actually have your sims own a residential rental but not really live in it? Like, can I have the landraagbs own an apartment building without having them move there?
Yes, you can own as many rental lots as you can afford. You can still only live on one lot, whether that's in one of the rentals or on your private residential lot. The landgraabs can absolutely own the entire world and live in their own mansion still
Just in case anyone’s interested, on December 14th, Twisted Mexi (a modder, known for TOOL, Better Build Buy and other mods) will publicly release a mod to increase the cap to 250 units per save.
I think the first thing I'll try with this pack is to have multiple families, each with horses, and put a stable as a shared space to see how it'll function 😅
'I don't really have plans to make this nice for the tenants, I'm kind of picturing that we'll do the bare minimum here' said every landlord in the UK xD.
@lilsimsie Question for you about the pack, do renters not come in and add their own decor to their places? Or do you HAVE to pre-furnish it every time?
RU-vid bugs me sometimes, I had been wondering why I hadn’t seen any LilSimie’s videos for a while. Turns out they unsubbed me, so time to catch up on some Chaos
I'm bummed about the 100 unit cap, but only because it's per save. I never wanted to put 100 units on one lot, but I was looking forward to having at least two rental buildings in every world so there's lots of places for townies to live and now that won't really be possible. :[
Stanley Humphrey should wear what he wants to wear and he don't look bad when he is dressed. He should be comfortable in his own outfits and he should wear his hotdog oufit anytime he wants but if hes in the business career he should dress the part that he is entitled too
honestly without the patch and pack I cannot say this definitively but the 100 limit is likely baked into the save data in such a way that mods could theoretically increase it but it might corrupt the save in the process and literally make it impossible to either load and / or save. things like this have happened before and I can imagine it happening with this, so I'm hesitant to believe any mod that gets released actually works without extensive testing.
I wonder if it would be laggy if you would divide the 100 unites over all the worlds… I can definitely see myself reaching that maximum that way. Although I recently lost my save file 😭
that's total chaos. lol I use cheats all the time. I don't think I'd ever have 100 units even if divided into several worlds, too much to handle but you could do it if you did divide it across several worlds and had one Sim per one managing them but even then it's a lot. lol.
"IN THESE CONDITIONS???" what do yall mean the apartment werent so bad for 40 simoleons? like imagine if you had that apartment irl. a days rent being almost the same price as a roll of toilet paper💀
The lag is unbelievable 🤦🏻♀️😂Im thinking maybe you can only fill 2 tenancies per day?Or a certain amount of time has to pass before you can add 2 more tenancies to the build ..And this was why the game only let you add 2 at a time? Perhaps if you’d filled all apartments at once your pc would have exploded🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😂😂So interesting to see what actually happens when you try and max out the game tho .
from the watching multiple of these early access vids across a few channels now, I really just hope that they nerf the tenant revolts as they seem to be happening much too easily, even on way smaller scale rental lots but with track record :/
