So true. I remember when I was living in Japan, I would read a literature on the history of Japan, a lot went to the US 🇺🇸 and Germany 🇩🇪 to study and acquire skills as much as they could. They return home in the 60s and was followed by economic bubble and improved governance. So if we could do that in numbers as African and give these destructive politicians a one-way ticket to the moon.

"Diaspora must come home, and not rely on the government "...What ?? Only the black community think like this. That is why a lot of people from the black diaspora won't return. To their own countries. I am from the diaspora. And a lot of diaspora people I know feel the same U want people to leave their careers, houses etc to go live in a country where most of the people including the governments mindset are years behind. Infrastructure is terrible. Governments are a joke. they do nothing for their own people let alone for the diaspora. Look at the local market places and the market "stands" for example in 1930 and now You will see that not much has changed. That says a lot about development. As long as black governments sell their people out. There will be no change. We need more leaders like R.I.P President Magufuli He looked like he was building and fighting for his people.

My wife is a physician ob/gyn and we want to move to Ghana but we don’t know how hard it will be for her to get a job as a doctor delivering babies there. Thing is Ghana makes you wait 20 years to get citizenship. Why? We are African Americans and we were stolen from mother Africa. I have never been to Africa before and I can’t wait until May 27th it will be our first visit to Africa. I’m 56 years old and excited like a child at Christmas time. My mom is 75 years old and she has been visiting Senegal, Gambia and Ghana for the last 22 years. I don’t know why I waited so long to come. I have two sons 19 and 23. The young people must travel to the West to study "cutting edge" techniques. People look at Asia's development. Go to graduation at top US Univ to see Asian citizens are graduating in great numbers. They then return to their own countries to implement what they have learnt, develop their countries and compete with the West. African Governments and Educators should have modern school curriculum for studies. The best and the brightest Africans should not be looking for a job. Instead they must be entrepreneurs/business leaders who provide opportunities for the citizens. It is the resistance to new things which is holding some countries back.
@kingshomes8546
@kingshomes8546 3 года назад
@@karleinegraham446 that is the false narrative you are made to believe that we Africans can’t build cutting edge universities or train our own people in our own continent. For this reason our leader spend millions abroad instead of home , and we lose too many bright minds to the west. If Dr. Nkrumah could build a cutting edge university in Ghana over 50years ago why can’t leaders of today with all the advancement do better 🤔

@@kingshomes8546 You have proved my point. Kwamah Nkrumah lived and studied in the 🇺🇸 USA and is a revered figure to black people all over the world. He took the knowledge and ideas back to 🇬🇭 Ghana but not everyone was ready for it. Africa or China did not invent. the airplane, internet, space travel, modern medicine etc. China is building (or adapting for their needs) on inventions of the West. Africa needs to do the same. Let's be honest with ourselves. We do not have to reinvent the wheel. When Governments give scholarships to study overseas, graduates should be contracted to return and work for a time (5 years?) in their home country-thus bringing back skills. Amazing woman and a great move! A subscriber on our family channel recommended this video to me after watching a video I recorded on moving a family of nine to Ghana this year. Now I know why he asked me to watch this video! So inspiring and motivating! In some few months we will follow her footsteps from the UK. Even if 10% of Africans in the diaspora would move back to the continent and empower through their skills and knowledge Africa would go a long way. We must reverse the trend of brain drain. Only we Africans can make Africa comfortable for ourselves.

Great convo and the top she is wearing is the bomb 🙂💙👍🏾 I agree with the ones who mentioned, that it's one of the most beautiful houses I've seen in Africa! I thank the Lord for uplifting us black people. These house are better for Africa, since it it much bigger than Europe. *Just mine opinion!* 😆😆😆 Unfortunately envious racist peeps will try to always tear us down. They *ABSOLUTELY HATE IT* when black people are progressing. Fortunately God is *NOT A RACIST!!* 😏😏😏 I'm glad God told me that all this negativity from them, will come to an and and I'm going to be so happy and the rest of the world will be relieved when that's going to happen!!! Thanks Lord 🥰🥰🥰😇😇😇🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

This is a very energizing conversation. African countries throw up challenges that you don't have to deal with overseas, but i think overall its worth it to overcome those to set up a thriving business back on the continent. Its great to listen to people that have embraced the challenge and made it work.
