I love these videos but I find it a little bit unbelievable that all these assets were accumulated in the past 15 years without carrying huge amounts of debt. I’d love a little more transparency around this. I do think the video is very open and informative in other aspects.
I don't understand what these passive incomes have to do with your age, you can start these streams of income even at 70 years old, can't you have a bank deposit at 70 years old? Or can't you invest in the stock market at 70 years old? Or can't you open a youtube channel at 70? this passiv incomes has nothing to do with age, it's really good to do these things at an advanced age so you can get additional incomes
As a confident life coach and clinical hypnotherapist I work with a lot of clients on overcoming money and success blocks and this content is great - I will be sharing it with them. Thank you.
One of my employer's loved to talk about business, among other things. One of t points he made was that while a bank will make money on your savings account, they always get better interest, you need to wach the inflation rate. If you're not getting interest higher than inflation rates are rising...you're losing, not saving.😮
@@Timetraveler1111MN You have to have a minimum amount in the account to qualify for interest. You can also get interest from savings bonds which is similar to leaving it in a savings account. In most of the West I'm pretty sure that with $100K you can get 3% interest, with 1 Million you can get 4% and with 10 Mil you can get 5%. So basically, if you have 1 mill in a savings account, with a minimalist lifestyle, you could live off the interest.
How did you make these first 2 income streamings? Could you give a bit step by step? For people who don't have any experience? Thanks 👍 love the topics btw and I hope you love my country. Where in the country are you? 😊
JEPI is a nice high yield monthly pay ETF but the monthly payout is variable each month (so not predictable). If your looking at monthly dividend paying equities you should also look into closed end funds (ECAT, RNP, UTF, UTG, etc...) or certain REITS (O, STAG, ADC, etc..) or BDC's (GAIN, MAIN, etc..). Most non financial people don't know the difference between open end funds, closed end funds (CEF) and exchange-traded funds (ETF). If your an income investor closed end funds are used for that strategy.
I appreciate your non BS approach to this. I have had to re-invent myself too due to being unable to get a job for the last 5 years due to ageism. Getting there very slowly.
Thanks so much for sharing this. I would have a number of streams of income, but had not yet added dividends to this. Since watching your story I am now investing in ETF, both through a UK SIPP and an ISA 🙌
You said you have five properties. If we assume that each one costs around 90k, then you spent around 450k total. That's a lot of money... You bought them with mortgage? Or it was capital from your savings? I am not talking about the first property (you said you bought it with your savings). Thank you for this video. It's one of the more direct, honest and informative videos on passive income out there.
I saved the rental income for several years. and other income sources that I created online, I lived bellow my means and continued working and I was determined
Good video……. I’m 44 and invest in residential and commercial property. I also invest in Vanguard Global ETF funds net worth £8 million. To build passive wealth you need to average 7 to 8% per annum. Investing in the market is a longterm strategy, usually 10 to 20 years.
Time for me to get back to basics. Thank you for this video. Dividends have worked well for me in the past. I have other strategies where I invested big but also lost big. Everything is a learning experience. I wish you abundant blessings! Mahalo.
With all due respect, only Dividends and Interest on your list are passive income. passive income is income that you get by doing nothing. Creating RU-vid and social media videos is work, renting property is work if you want to do it right. For dividends to make $100K/yr income you will need $ 1 million with a 10% dividend (which there are only a slight few) then you will pay 35+% in tax leaving you $65K.
Good point. There are various levels of “passive “ income. Rental properties are not that passive, but they’re still more passive than a 9-5 job. Dividends obviously can’t be the only source of income. RU-vid of course is not passive when you start it, but it does become more and more passive once you have 30-40 videos and up since you get paid for views on your existing videos, even if you stop making new ones. Best of luck
Thank you! I'm just starting down this journey but I am currently on UK disability benefits due to long covid. I'm 45 and had just started a channel and website when I got hospitalized with covid. I've never recovered and I'm currently housebound. I'm making very small improvements, but they are slow, and it's been nearly 3 years already! I'm looking to cut back on some things so I can invest into a SIPP. Also, if I can start my youtube channel again in a year, I'm not well enough now, that's another future income stream. I'm trying to spend my time in bed planning how to get myself in a better financial position when well, and working on stuff when I'm able. I really want to move abroad, gain some financial freedom and a slower pace of life. This health struggle has set me back a lot, but it you've given me hope that I can do it in enough time to actually be able to enjoy some of the rewards!
Great video, I just wish people didn’t use real estate as a business. It has greatly contributed to the housing crisis if people are renting to cover their entire mortgage, which is shown to increase rent making people unable to save & buy themselves. I guess I just believe everyone deserves to own their own home…in a perfect world.
I thought the same. Kind of making money and becoming rich exploring others. That's the world we live in. Since the beginning of Time. Cruel, unfair and very sad planet.
Great video! Everyone should aspire to hold at least one of these investments. Real estate investing isn’t for everyone and depending on the location it isn’t for the faint of heart but it can be life changing and I love that it can also give you options if you invest in different cities or states!
I have been thinking of investing in dividends for a while now. Can you maybe talk more about it. How much we need to invest and what to expect in return? Thanks!
Dear Daphna, your video is filled with golden nuggets of how to invest knowledge that is truly enlightening and life changing! I am greatly appreciative to you my brilliant friend!! May God continue to shower your beautiful life with blessings! Jesus loves you!!
Hi, Daphna just found your channel and I watched this because I also have a RU-vid channel and reasonable money but I'm looking to start a second channel this time with more knowledge. I've not done any sponsorship it's just been ad revenue. I have been a landlord for over 30 years with a small portfolio but the best income I've ever had is a holiday. I have one in a seaside town called Whitby and it can produce up to £60,000 pounds a year and it is the best investment I ever made. I'm just hoping that my second choice of RU-vid channel will be financially more rewarding while still enjoying the game.
Thank you Daphna for this really interesting and useful information. so well prepped and researched and very well presented. Its impressive. People would pay money for this advice! It has made me rethink just having a pension...I have passed this video on to my daughter and friends.
Love your channel and subscribed to it. I have also recently started investing. In this video, you give such valuable information about investing as if it's a whole course on investing. It's amazing how you are upgrading properties in small towns and improving the quality of life for their residents. Thank you so much and good luck with everything you do.
Daphna, thank you for been very thorough throughout this video. I discovered your channel on my television via your latest video (start life from scratch) and quickly shared your channel with a few loved ones. I appreciate the wisdom and knowledge you shared here and will surely heed to them 🥰
Started 2 RU-vid Channels, into investing since years already and now I also want to build another income stream and make my own small buisness. My goal is to never work for anyone nomore again.
Passive income is the best, and once you’ve had some, you can’t go back! We moved to Spain, and rather than buy a larger apartment, we split our investment between a medium sized apartment and an office space that already had a great tenant. We do have a management company, but what we like about an office is that if the toilet breaks, for instance, it’s the responsibility of the tenant to fix it, not the owner. When you rent a residence, that’s not the case. We also found that an office generates higher rent than an apartment, for the same property price. I also have a RU-vid channel, and affiliate marketing which provides some extra cash, and I also had a network marketing business for 10 years that generated great income at the time.
Very helpful and honest. I have set up a RU-vid channel bought all my equipment and I’m still procrastinating 🤦🏻♀️ It would be linked to my business in consulting and I want to pass on my knowledge of helping businesses grow and how you best build a strong go to market to appeal your investors. I need to just start making them! Any tips on editing software would be very helpful as I’ve tried a few 🙏🏼😊
Thank you for the advice Daphna. Can you be a little more specific about how to make money on interest? Are you talking about CDs here? Do you have any recommendations for interest earning investments?
I was referring to the interest paid by the bank. I negotiated a savings account with a 5% yield. I suggest you shop around and compare the bank offers
Daphna, your videos are an absolute pleasure to watch and the loveliness of your presence is always a joy to behold - thank you! I'm hoping to retire in Portugal in two years time, should my citizenship application be successful that is. Having said that, I will have a monthly income of only €1000 from my UK state pension pension and from what I see that will not be sufficient income to live on in Portugal unfortunately. I estimate that I would need to secure at least another €500 a month in order to make my dream a reality. Is that realistically possible do you think? I will be 66 years of age if and when I move to Portugal and I have a physical disability. My preference is to live a simple life as I find the ways of this fast, modern technological world somewhat alien to me. Whilst I appreciate that €500 a month may sound like an insignificant amount to many, I must admit it concerns me. Am I being overly concerned I wonder? I do not want fear to put an end to my dreams and as a consequence live with the failure of not having tried. Any response you could give would greatly appreciated. Sweetest of blessings today and always.
Hello, and thank you for your kind words - much appreciated! 🙏 Please don't give up on your dream of moving to Portugal and finding a new, simple life. Life is about enjoying. I believe you can create additional income streams at any age. Have you considered renting out a room in your apartment, teaching English online, or exploring skills like scriptwriting and editing? Be proactive in making your dreams come true, and I wish you the best of luck on your journey🌏
You are a great inspiration to many, who has worked hard while really looking at all of the possibilities. That is admirable. I do invest as prescribed, blue chip dividend long term holdings, some REITs and bricks and mortar. The YT centered stuff will have to remain a pass. I am well travelled and in great shape for the miles put in, but just not interested in having a public persona. Oh well, as the man said, thank god I'm a country boy! Keep up the good work
Well Daphna.. after watching this video I realized that you are not that alone after all.. all this woderful thinking are with you all the time.. so there is no time for your mind to feel lonly.. 🎉
what a great video, rich in insightful advices. I just came accross your video today and subscribed. Looking forward to many more intelligent and practical suggestions. Thank you
If you recall, I mentioned in the video that I earn 9% annually. To calculate, multiply $600 by 12 months to get $7200. Dividing this by the 9% yield reveals the gross amount I've invested, which is $80,000.
Sure! Getting started requires some initial investment, but it doesn't have to be a lot. You can start with investing $100 a month, and over time, compound interest will do its magic
I was inspired by your details of how you became independent. The thought of having some financial independence makes me excited.I am in my 50’s, so I feel it’s not too late!
Hi Daphna, so glad I found your channel. What trading platform do you use to invest? What books/experts did you learn from before you started investing?
@@Daphna. Love your videos, thank you. Would you mind telling us what platform you use to control how you invest? Where do you invest in the GP Morgan?
It can be tough for locals to buy or rent homes when prices went ip so drastically in the last few years. We need government to make sure everyone can find a place to live
Curious if you live in the US and are not working in a traditiinal job, you'll need to worry about health insurance which can eat up a lot of that income.
Basically the best answer is to leave the USA and live in a cheap country that has cheap Healthcare. I'm moving to Ecuador in September. Columbia, Thailand, Costa Rica, Portugal, or Turkey are other good choices
I would love to hear how investors invest in ETFs from dividend divisions of large American companies through J.P. Morgan. I'm really clueless in this area. It would be greatly appreciated if you could guide me which specific ETFs are involved and how the investment is actually made?
Quick question. How did you create the list of books and equipment on Amazon affiliate program? Where do I go once registered and logged in to create lists like you have created? Thank you in advance. 😊
Most of these won’t work soon especially Renting property as Government Rules Change and the WEF takeover along with Black Rock etc will mean most people will own Nothing and their only income will be the Tiny amount paid as the Universal Basic Income😮😮
The part that kills this for a lot of people is introversion. I don't want to put myself or my life out on the internet so affiliate mkt and youtube are out.
@@Daphna.that requires more luck though. The majority of channels big enough to create serious income have seen ones with faces on them!!! Look at yours?
I know; I am so introverted and insecure that I dont even dare think of saying one word! Much less scripting or putting up even a faceless video. I think about the thing or two I have a bit of knowledge about.. either living with chronic pain and undiagnosed disability at a young(er) age , and my passions for yoga and healing arts. But yes, videos are meant to be just that! I was going to say that, maybe starting out faceless, and then hopefully building confidence to show some kind of video, may someday come. There are definitely people whom could benefit, if only determination and organization could begin the process. Best on your journeys ❤
@@nikkolyn1122 in the time it took for u to write ur comment u could have searched faceless videos and also AI tools for videos and made progress toward ur goal instead of arguing how it's not possible. U wrote many words in ur comment so ur not that introverted or shy as u say
Can you make a video on how you invest in the JP Morgan stock, Im very interested to learn how to do that. I live in South Africa and an extra $600 a month would be life-changing. Thank you for the amazing content.
Curious: 1) why did u de-list your old beauty videos? --> Why not just allow them to remain & keep making views ? 2) Do u do ur own editing or who/how do u hire? Your channel is fantastic & I'm binge watching!!! Pls create more vdieos on successful money & yt channels!! I really like that ur videos are short and packed w valuable points ❤
