Oh! one last thing.. wouldn't it be cleaner to have the small board on hinges instead and fold open when the TV comes out.. just to not have it above the TV when it's raised. I have seen other brands do it that way. But that's just me AuDHD overthinker :P (I might have spent time thinking about it all before once or twice)

@@emanuelpersson3168It would be cleaner to have a hinge setup i agree and that’s also what i told kevin when we were building it but we couldn’t engineer something to have it close when the tv comes back without slamming on the tv itself , and when it comes to plywood with some researches we found out it isn’t the beeeest of ideas but building a custom set of bed lats is also really tricky we would needa rethink it , and we also told auton if anyone orders this same exact build , to eventually redisign it with a set of metal bars instead of vertical but horizontal to hold a mattress and maybe screw the lift on the frame because it might be an issue over time of closing and opening if it moves , even though it is 300lbs heavy haha ! the lower bracket of the frame is 15 inch high, the higher bracket of the pocket is 22 , with mattress and all the bed sits at arround 30 inches i think ! now as for the design of the floating bed with the tv id recommend getting professional help to build it because it is a haaaaard frame to weld , and you could diy the skin of the frame like we did with wood and spackle ! but if you just want a floating bed i recommend looking at the sisters room video where he welded it himself and it wasn’t easy at all , there’s also tutorial but i wouldn’t weld by myself if i don’t have any welding knowledge ! Kevin is just crazy and loves to do things he’s never done but i truly believe he’s built different haha ! Floating beds are really tricky builds because there is a leg under it in the middle to withstand the weight and still have a floating illusion but be careful with it if it’s not properly engineered it could literally break down! Matter of fact auton the company that made us the bed had to go trough several designs engineered to find the best build practicality wise and safety too. with a bit of practice you could do your own but makeeee suuuure to watch enough tutorials haha !! I wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself building this crazy diy idea !
