Oh THIS GAME, I thought this was going to be Airship: Kingdoms Adrift. I remember Splattercat talking about this game a while back. Certainly a UNIQUE City Builder that is for sure. Side note, I would recommend Airships Conquer the Skies (grate game) or Airship Kingdom Adrift (never played that one, but apparently it scratches that Sid Miers pirates itch we all secretly have.)
Well, I just got done binge watching the entirety of your British Age of Sail Campaign, and this pops up, Nice. The premise is intriguing, and the fact that there's combat is an instant plus for me.
This game is both very similar to Airborne Kingdom, but also a bit step up from it. Compared to AK you have to deal with a lot less area of effect modifiers in building your city. There's way more dialogue, the previous game only had some basic mission texts. And the entire combat and pirates are fully new additions, these also being advertised the most on the Steam page. The UI is an upgraded version of what they had before, the building, research and most related mechanics are very similar.
I have never played Airborne Kingdom, but I think the recipe here is great for a chill gaming experience. I was sad when the content ran out! It's the kind of game my daughter will play ALL day 🤣
@@CmdrTyrael well, then she'll sure be happy with Airborne Kingdom. Which is currently on sale, if you feel like having her game all day. I myself did not enjoy AK that much, as it was a bit too slow and simple for my taste. The charm of this studio's work was apparent in that game already though. And I liked the AE beta I got to try a ton, it's already one of my favourite games. Looking forward to the Early Access release of it, which will be closer to a full release really but gets expanded further over time.
@@CmdrTyrael I now saw that there is a "combat" section (it wasn't there in the one I played), plus I got distracted and didn't see that you had put AAs, I thought they were observers XD
