@Moonshine i googled the whole thing and i see ... Mocha is the stupid engl. spelling version while the whole rest keeps it with the double C or double K
It has to be so gratifying being able to make instruments of this quality. I wish I had the patience and time to learn how to do this sort of thing. It's absolutely amazing.
Patience, time, money for tools, machinery, and space. And then the woodworking learning curve. It would take a novice 10K and a good year to produce something of quality without experience. I'm fortunate enough to work somewhere that paints and clearcoats things daily, so my builds are limited to kits and neck/bodies but I can get the finishing done for nothing.
Legend has it that drinking it would do something unbelievable Give you splinters in your mouth and cause you to have stomach pains for about 10 weeks.
Teach a guy how to make a cup of coffee and he'll keep himself up all night, but teach him to make a coffee guitar and he'll keep the whole neighborhood awake.
Nice profile pic my one bro would love that, me not so much. Im not as bad as once was but it depends on the spider species or in my personal space bubble while eating. Man, I'm not miss muffet eating porriage cellar spiders! Its cerael in my mornings! That or a blueberry bagel, but then I wouldn't be sitting down to eat it.😣' Stop trying to dive bomb into it.
coffee does sound like something in the morning. The sound of a pump running through espresso, and that of steam coming out a steam wand. As well as tearing milk.
This man is unstoppable, once he’s unlocked his full potential, he’ll start making guitars out of unimaginable horrors beyond our comprehension, yet it’ll still be satisfying to watch. Mark my words, it starts with colored pencils and ends in Azathoth.
Each video I watch of you making these fantastic guitars just impresses the hell out of me. You are a highly skilled artisan with many talents. Thank you for your dedication to your craft and wishing you much continued success.
I love that he doesn’t even have to say what he’s going to do, he just jumps straight in because everybody that watches knows exactly what’s about to happen
My new favorite RU-vidr. The thumbnails are not clickbait, and his videos are satisfying and never a waste of time. I love how he dives right in instead of making boring introductions. His guitars also always end up turning out amazing!
Just to clear things up on the copper headstock... I'm aware copper oxidizes and forms a patina. Rust is specific to metals that contain iron in them like steel, not copper. I'm excited to see what the 'patina' will look like down the road.
I built a coffee resin guitar a year ago. It’s call the espressocaster. Obviously it’s telecaster shaped. All vintage fender hardware and copper tuners. I’m in the middle of a Les Paul style right now. Would love to share the pics! Mugsyscustomshoppe on Instagram!
Until those beans go rancid. Coffee beans contain a very volatile fatty acid in the oil and it goes bad, starts smelling sour after a while. This is why people use fresh beans.
@@SmileyD1125 yes. Once beans are roasted and exposed to oxygen, a ticking time bomb starts. Plus, when he's discussing the build at the end, remember that he mentioned that a lot of beans are exposed and that he didn't do a top pour to encapsulate everything.
This is such a stunningly shaped guitar, with clean lines, textured finish & smooth ergonomics. . . and it sounds great too. . . It's a work of art that also smells great !!! In a world of copies and lookalikes this instrument REALLY shines and stands way out !! . . . Totally Unique & Innovative. . . Blessings. . .
I used to watch your vids yeeeeears ago man and then changed phones etc etc etc…totally forgot about ya…you just popped into my head one day and I’m back - so glad your still making guitars and vids man. All the best for 2023 ✌🏼Peace
That is a nice looking and sounding guitar. The fact that i really liked your style of playing may be one of the reasons I liked the sound. Great job man.
Seriously man this vid is awesome great editing voice over I’m so glad you did the demo all the way through I was thinking how will this sound ??? I love coffee and if this was a bass this maybe the perfect instrument for me . Awesome craftsmanship man respect!
The metal body binding, the copper veneer headstock, and especially the copper epoxy inlay are super innovative ideas for a custom guitar build! I have not seen other luthiers build these ideas into a guitar.
He probably should have covered the copper parts with poly. Or eventually they’ll look green like the Statue of Liberty. But maybe that’s the patina he’s going for? He could have used cocoa to fill in the spaces between the beans! Then it would have a mocha coffee smell!
As one who LOOOVES her coffee, this is absolutely SICK!!! Wow! I bet it smelled so good during the whole process....and probably after too! What a neat thing to do for your friend!
Amazing job. I appreciate your disclosure/s about the parts that turned out different than expected. This things are just part of the deal so to speak & The mynute flaws during a build give the guitar it's character but more importantly they help create the story of how a truly skilled craftsman & luthier created an amazing guitar out of 5000 coffee beans. Wow & it smells like freak'n coffee too!
