The boost decrease when you upgrade the car is to balance all the vehicles on the track, making sure that the game stays competitive. This was what the devs told to us in a Q&A couple months ago after they announced the date of the game's launching.
the best way to drift is to start from the outside and aim to the inside of the curve. ans for having lost a boost ring i think each boost ring is more power per ring.
i have been yelling at the screen telling scrapman how to drift properly like its going to do something idk why i didnt just comment lol you beat me to it
yeah that's what I noticed as well, they charge way faster and also last longer. The point is to be using your boost constantly after practically every turn, not saving them up to pull ahead when you make a mistake. That being said, everyone has a different play style and I can see how having more smaller boosts could be better for some people.
I do not know yet if he caches on to it. But the new upgraded car does in fact have only 2 boost. But they fill up constantly. The former one had 4 but only fill up on drifts.
PS: A single drift replenis like 75% of a boost. The previous one did like 33%. So drifting wile boosting is a A+ stratergy. It is harder. But you catch SO MUCH TIME. PPS: Boost to dodge the spider.
If you can get through the track editor without it breaking. also you cant directly share your tracks and the multiplayer is filled with players being AFk or voting for really short unfun tracks. game needed a few more months in the oven honestly.
Despite the issues listed in the other person's comment, the game is still very fun, especially with friends and I definitely recommend it. The devs are listening to community feedback and are working on fixes

I think the trick with the spider is to either just go in a zig-zag when you get to it, or when he shoots his web, change spots ASAP so it don't hit you (this may have been obvious but I was just trying to help)
I have an idea: Make an upside down magnetic course, kinda like how you did before, except this time have jumps that you have to barrel roll into and land on normal tracks. So pretty much you switch from upside down to upside up via jumps.
I noticed when building a track the checkpoint sound gets triggered when the camera moves through a checkpoint so maybe the checkpoints were too high off the ground but the sound would still be triggered by the camera.
You own the RD-02 and it is literally the fastest straight line car in the game fully upgraded. I don't want to tell you how to play the game but I thought you might want to know.
Kansei dorifto! In games like this or trackmania strategic bancking into sidebarriers can be pretty benefitial Also it would be cool if they add "terrain follow" as an option to track builder
Hey I got an idea look up some of the older Hot Wheels track layouts and see if you can duplicate those and or combine the combine some of those traditional tracks on there and see what happens
Keep in mind ScrapMan, you get boost by drifting AND drafting (following directly behind a car ahead of you) so on straight aways you can still build boost if you aren't in first place.
How was that toaster vehicle so far ahead of them at that one track? Crazy. At least Scrapman's course was fun looking! though it seems like the checkpoints were confusing tracks on the half pipe because they crossed, and it thought they were skipping a checkpoint.
Day 4 of asking Scrapman to put explosives on the end-series rocket and blow up after hitting the skybox because it will be such a great ending to the series!
You should invite other you tubers (like kan or mumbo) to do a track building challenge (and then you could race them) for next week’s multiplayer Monday
the problem with open tracks is that if you do crossing paths, the game checks the "furthest" point of track progression. if there are Checkpoints before, it assumes you skipped them and auto resets you to the last valid position you were in. i know this because there's a shortcut on a regular track which places me just beyond a missed checkpoint on landing and the reset timer is just long enough to cross it in backwards direction, making the run legitimate in the games eyes.
it would be cool if the game let you paint the track you want to build with some sort of graffiti spray especially for situations like this where most of the track is using the map. It would also look cool to paint custom designs over normal tracks
day 8 of asking scrapman to start a Survival series amphibious tank/basically any transportation and floating base (or under water. But you need mods... it's a require ment to breathe under water, if you want an under water base/transportation. And yes i am talking about the under water fan moonbo reviewed that basically makes water spaces air spaces... if that makes any sense.)
Best tip I have for drifting is letting go of your gas as well as tapping the brake. It’ll work more as an e-brake if you overshoot a turn. But then you can get the hang of boosting while tiring and it’s hella faster
