Hello friend - what was your key takeaway from this video? Let me know! PS. for entrepreneurs, coaches, freelancers - I've just launched a new mentorship programme, book a free discovery call: calendly.com/davidboland2/introductory-call
Just start! I just uploaded my very first video and it's super cringe haha. I hope anyone else thinking of starting a RU-vid channel sees it and thinks 'Wow, if she can do it, I can definitely do it' LOL. I call it inspiration.
Cool to see someone from a different background talking about these things. I've been overwhelming myself with more mainstream youtubers giving similar advice this week, yours lands much better with me. Thanks.
So happy to see you back and creating new content. Although these are some things I’ve been doing for a while, this reminded me to implement some of what I’ve not been doing, or to refresh my lead magnet offerings and affiliate links. I just finished my end of summer art markets, and now I get to concentrate on creating new content, monetize, and get back in the studio to explore my art more deeply. There’s so much value in your videos. And I’m happy for your successes. Cheers, David.
thank you for sharing that. You just popped up on my homepage and I resonated with your style and you focus more on deeper connection. I like this because some people just care about connection in a very shallow way and are not interested to get to know each other deeper. For some content creater its only about to be liked by the audience.
FWIW, I had it liked before you asked us to 😄 sub'd too - love seeing good Irish content - keep up the great work! (You should throw some affiliate links in the descriptions for your gear, like your mic, because it sounds super clear)
New sub here...Great video.. yes, many people may have heard some of these points already, but you have a unique and personal way of explaining it and breaking it all down to simple points. I love the point about 'already being a personal' brand. Sometimes we overthink things..Thanks again.. l really learned alot!
As a seemingly eternally struggling musician, I am still resentful of our new-ish need to appeal to everyone. I am probably "shadow banned" to an extent for the fact I would leave sarcastic comments on daily wire propaganda vids, but I came to realize I am more a victim of being unwilling to get with the times. I can't stand that you have to be a shiny, happy projecting person to gain sufficient reach. I also regret ever starting with online media from day one to put my music out before I thought it through. I prefer my low fi stuff, I don't like polishing the dick outta my stuff but I also realize sound quality does matter and I just don't have the time or tools.
Check out this guy for some inspiration: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KugrxUM1Kc8.html Just a guy playing a nice song in a field. Nothing fancy happening here and he's having an impact. Think about what you can do with your setting/presentation without worrying about getting new tools! The mind is the best tool we all have.
Hey Veronica, thanks for tuning in and sharing your voice in the comments. I use a canon m50 with a sigma 16mm lens. The microphone I used is a zoom h1 - however I also use rode go ii wireless mics and a different studio condenser mic in my other videos!
I put starting my own path rather than corporate world off for many years. Thinking I can't edit, I'm too awkward, I'm not good enough... This month I started @Thriving.Chronically I'm glad your video has come across my feed this morning ☀️
