It’s probably decent for small shed honestly. Though atleast a 4 inch base Compacted Rock base under all that would of been the best and would definitely last longer.
base? I seen pallets put directly on the ground and plywood put on top and people walk on the false floor this was done in North Carolina at a flea market. So you know there was a lot of traffic on that floor. I guess north Carolina has good base which is clay. 73 @@jtyree0226
Yeah but then you need to factor the total height for building regs. Plus it means you're stepping up into your shed instead of it being much closer to the ground. Not saying this is a bad idea, it's not, I have done this before. But sometimes this grid method is the best option.
@@sumeraybuilds You are allowed total height of 2.5m permitted development. Even with ground screws and a wooden deck it easily achievable to build a shed with good head height that is below or up to this height.
Honestly i moved a 8x12 shed on 4x4 runners..we just slid ir off on a graveled area by house & never got back to deal with it. Want to reinforce corners with 2x4s & in walls insteadbof 2x2s & better insula tion & new roof . It stares at me😂
In advance im only thinking what would never work where I’m from. The earth gets frozen solid down 70-90cm here in winter, the soil underneath consisting of mud and stones would absolutely not stay where it’s supposed to be after only one winter. I would have had to dig down atleast 1-2meters and fill it up with gravel that doesn’t lift when frozen. I sincerely hope that your method will work just fine at your location 😊
@@sumeraybuildsRyan might not understand how volatile weeds are. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU DON'T JUST USE GLYPHOSATE EVERY OTHER MONTH! Lol jk but my real concern is.. Where did you get those little grids lmao
That was my first thought. Solid concrete under mine, with steel mesh around the base bearers to stop anything getting under it. Fingers crossed, no issues after several years.
