What a beautiful red tank! Perfect for Valentine's Day 💝 So I am still trying to figure out my hardscape. I chose petrified wood and purchased about 40lbs. Without much rock to choose from, I have larger pieces. While trying to design a 5 gallon tank, when I don't like my smaller rocks, I go outside and throw a giant rock in the air and see what I get. Do you have a video on creating smaller selections from large rocks? I just want to assemble my scape already. 🙂 Now you have it.

Yeah, a Valentine Day's tank indeed! I love petrified wood, it's my favorite, but very difficult to work with it. Very difficult to break it too. Yes, we hammer the rocks in a couple of videos, but I don't recommend that with petrified wood. It might give in along certain lines, but you'll have to look which one has cracks and try there... Very frustrating stone hammer-wise. LOL

The Green Machine did a red plant-dominant scape some years ago titled “Arizona” by James Findley. It is one of my favorite aquascapes to this day, if no one has seen it I highly recommend it. Unfortunately they no longer make videos as the business closed. This aqua scape brought back good memories. Thank you for this video, Balazs

Szia Balazs. My 110 gallon planted south american tank is doing well. Just two weeks, ADA substrate, native stone, and sycamore roots, sand in front half. May I say ADA La Plata sand or similar is worth any extra money. Did not do the daily water changes but weekly. Hopefully it will be ready in maybe six weeks. Most plants are doing well with the Fluval 3.0 and CO2. Nagyon jo video es koszonom.

Dear Balasz (hope I spell your name correctly), I am a big fan of your channel and all the beautiful tanks and videos! Thanx for everything! But: the open tanks, that are so common nowadays, have some downsides to be considered: dust, loss of water, danger for fish that might jump out, waste of energy (especially in tanks for discus or betta splendens, for example). Of course you are right: open tanks look nice ...

Thanks for the comment Bruce, glad you support us! Well, I don't think dust is a problem, with surface skimmers. I welcome evaporation, keeps the room air moist a bit, good for health - especially during long winters where we have dry air because of heating. Waste of energy with warm-water tanks is a real problem, I agree, but I like solar power, then it's not a problem. Lastly, fish jumping might be an issue, but based on my experience if one has very good water quality, does regular maintenances and does not overpopulate and not uses fish that like to jump and chase each other, than it's fine.

Just a suggestion.. Everything is so bright. I think a darker background or a different colour background would help the colours pop.. Just my opinion. As always another beautiful creation by Green Aqua. Love from 🇮🇳

Dear Green Aqua - Absolutely brilliant idea and wonderful work. I need one assistant for 60 CM planted tank - What is water flow you have? Or, which Filter you are using. I may not use the similar Filter but would definitely look the specifications to understand the inner water flow required to get rid to an extent from algae. Thanks in advance.

I have a question: Green Aqua produces it's own RO water for such high volume needs? Some kind of water treatment station? Thank you and keep up the excellent work. Best aquascaping channel.

Thank you Flavio. We do have 2 huge RO unit which produces the water in the showroom for 2x500L barrel. We can do this 2 times a day if we need to.

Aquascaping is a Dutch invention from the 1930's indeed 😎 But Amano brought something else to the table and popularised it immensly. So he deserves credits for that. But he wasnt the first aquascaper 🇳🇱
