@Raeu Lucaas He should sell this idea he didn't come up with to a company... yea sure.. We also should sell everything to the large corporations so we can be in the constant DMCA.
i imagine that it may be possible if you incorporate some sort of midi controller. there are many examples of guitarists placing a Kaoss XY Pad in their guitars (Matt Bellamy of muse is notable for doing this). once the input from the pickups is converted to a digital signal, the signal could be used to control a set of LED's. this is complete speculation however.
There's this neat IC called MSGEQ7 that basically does FFT and you can read the values of 7 bands in the frequency spectrum of your output. Once you have those 7 amplitude values, you can change the colors
Imagine a dark stage at the beginning of a concert. The lights are turned out and the guitarist steps on the stage in complete darkness with this guitar ... damn man amazing work!
You probably get these sorts of comments all the time, but maybe especially with this one, I could see a more refined version of this guitar doing well commercially as a showy stage piece.
The noise you hear is the LED switching. It is coming through the pickup. Shielding the controls would help but you may never get it out. You would probably have to have LEDs that are constanty on instead of being pulsed.
Exactly. The LED power supply is likely super noisy. You'd have to redesign it to not induce noise, but this is an AMAZING looking build that would be talked about any time you played it in public.
@@johnward5726 It is crazy cool! I want one. I think the only way to have it quiet is NOT to pulse the LEDs which would eat batteries like I eat donuts.
@@johnward5726 Yes, even if you shield the power supply, any LED that is not fully on or off will be switching (pulsing) the harmonics of this will absolutely get picked up by the pickups. Source: I tried to build something like this ... a few times.
@@wayahedia9989 you would presumably be plugging in to a power source though, not using batteries. i wouldn't be surprised if there was some way you could power the guitar and the LEDs in the same cable
@@beardalaxy The leds themselves generate emf. So as long as they're pulsed you will likely have the same problem. And if you're pulsing LEDs and you're running that power in the same cable you're probably going to exacerbate the problem since that will be running next to a low gain audio signal.
nah, Eddie Van Halen’s is still one of my favorites, and Jimi Hendrix’s white Stratocaster is badass as well. Get to researching cause this is cool, but not the coolest 🤷🏻♂️
@Tim Lyons John Five would pay for this RIGHT NOW... he doesn't need to be on tour in order to collect the wildest and most interesting guitars in the world
This is by far the coolest infinity mirror concept I’ve seen… Custom art that’s not only functional, but added it’s a musical instrument is as badass as it gets. Props!
If this around then you would've totally seen all kinds of arena and glam rock bands using them on stage synced to the stage lighting to the match the color
Rather surrender it to the one who wants to save it, was an Atheist, gave my life to Jesus and He delivered me from a life that was destructive, full of sin, repentance, to have a change of mind, leading you to live a life free from your sin, salvation is a free gift.
Didn’t see any comments about it, but that riff at the end was amazing! I would definitely add it to my library if it was on Spotify or even its own RU-vid video.
@@justsomenamelesssoul8097 🤔It means you're just a dreamer.. Grow up man and get out from that illusion beds and explore the real truth.. And ask yourself were there's any real guitarists that they're only famous by their's guitar looks not talent. Anyone??
You should make one with really high quality LED strips to animate intricate patterns. Play some psychedelic rock along with it and you've got a match made in heaven!
Every once in a while I come back to listen to that riff at the end. ❤I love it so much, I wish it was a song by itself on RU-vid or Spotify or somewhere else. I'd even love to hear an extended version. Bravo, it's such a beautiful piece. ❤
@@maxlloyd4219 I'm not sure I've heard a song exactly like this one, but I have a few that give a similar vibe, with clean guitar and reverb. Check out Sleeping Pandora - Through the Maze or Naxatrax - Waves.
How about Adam Jones of Tool? The cool effect of this guitar resembles some of the artwork from Lateralus, and it would look amazing on stage, I agree.
Even if you don't see this brother, I just want to say that I am honored to have seen every single one of your builds on the very day they were uploaded since day 1. I don't comment much, but it is extremely cool to see how far you have come since the first colored pencil guitar. You have always shown a natural talent for crafting beautiful guitars, but watching you trying new and inventive things with these instruments is what really blows my mind, keep up the excellent work my brother.
Word of advice, drill holes out of Acrylic sheets **BEFORE** you cut out the actual shape, it will be sturdier that way and less likely to crack like it did. Also, you can reduce the, well I don't know what you would call it but, the fray-like chips & scratches on the edges of the sheets by masking it off on both sides with painters tape. (I know it has the protective layer on it, but the tape will help protect it even more, and it doesn't take that long to do.) Great video though, it still turned out epic.
@404 Metsubou @@ankihansen2489 and whats the fuckin problem with somebody that has more experience with certain things offering non condescending advice, Now they have more knowledge for future projects so they won't waste more time, money, and materials messing stuff up, along with everyone else that reads his comment also knows these tips, because this guy decided to use his experience and knowledge to educate people, while you are just some grumpy assholes that havent done shit worth sharing with anyone.
I absolutely love the buzzing actually, it really adds something to the music. Almost like a really low pitched bass, it really made the demo on my opinion.
I've seen 4 of your guitar building videos... all oof the guitars are all incredibly creative and turn out absolutely gorgeous. Man I wish I had your artistic eye.
The buzzing is caused for a similar reason as well. That’s the sound of emf caused by a square wave inverter. If you upgraded the pwm on those leds you could greatly reduce it.
Would fit perfectly in some space-oriented stoner rock. Also this demo - dude, it's perfect. Maybe you could record an extended version and upload as a standalone video?
I still come back to this vid almost every morning and listen to the riff at the end while drinking my coffee. it's just so relaxing and reminds me of when i was little, going grocery shopping with my mom. it sounds like the music the stores would play over the intercom. I'd love to hear you finish the song. i know you just made it up but it's amazing
Yo, this is by far the sickest guitar I've watch you build. I've never really commented anything other than "Can I have it?" But this build right here, SIIIIIIICK! You are very creative indeed sir. It's always nice to watch your vids
I saw that little cut while he was "playing" now, I'm not so sure he can play guitar. U could clearly see him not playing the guitar when he wiped his hand off.
@@dawnlockhart6423 I'm pretty sure he was using a looping machine thing (I'm not totally sure what they're called lol). You can see a lot of solo musicians using them to layer their sounds and make a complete song with only one person and no prerecorded track!
@@AbdullahBaleid It doesn't have a name. According to the description, he just made up the riff himself. I wish he lengthened it as a full on song and released it
@@mir2678 a quick Google showed that glass necks have been done. Also found some people talking about replacing metal frets with glass, but no pictures/video. I don't see why it's not possible, crazier things have been done.
The sound is AMAZING and fits the feel of the guitar's visuals. I gave my first like when seeing it finished and wish I had a thousand more to give after hearing it played.
Love when people comment even though they haven't even watched HALF the video. But from that thumbnail all I can say is that this looks amazing. Might even be my favorite.
@@lovelylemonfactory No offense but unless you know this person in real life, there is absolutely no way you could tell the level of intelligence of this person just based on that comment he or she made
@@nooralamgir3703 I think Nate meant to remove "you've"... so instead of "definitely one of the coolest guitars you’ve ever made" it becomes "definitely one of the coolest guitars ever made". In which case, I agree with the correction. 😉
I know a lot of people might find the buzzing to be annoying, but honestly, I think it actually works pretty well with what you played in your demo. Fantastic job, dude.
I love that your demo's often reflect the unique quality of the guitar they're being played on. The choice of delay and reverb on this demo in particular seemed really appropritate. It was almost as if the sound was emerging from within the guitar, each note that little bit more delayed than the last, passing through the infinite void of it's body.
YES! I had a similar thought about the appropriateness of his demos when watching this one, and I couldn't have said it better. "...emerging from within the guitar, each note that little bit more delayed than the last, passing through the infinite void of it's body." Beautiful.
Yeach that song make me soft my heart and a always listening before i go to sleep...and if one day i can playing guitar...i playing that song everyday..until i cant playing anymore
@@silkic so disrespectful. ( the guy edited his comment people!!!! He was saying something so disrespectful and disgusting, have at least 1 brain cell working before saying we are getting offended over someone trying to share an experience as well, sigh)
The feedback from the lights doesn't seem terrible. It actually kinda added a soothing white noise. Perfect for putting a crowd to sleep at a late night concert. Lofi.
Definitely the right idea to implement an infinity mirror into a guitar. This would make any room look 10x cooler, especially one with other colored lights
I kinda admire people who have the drive to build a guitar from scratch and it's always captivating watching these video. Very cool guitar and thanks for the vid!
The neck has similar characteristics to a maple finish it’s fascinating to watch you build this from nothing! your craftsmanship is hands down amazing there’s no doubt about that. Keep up the good work my man i look forward to future projects
I mean absolutely no offence, but when u say trans girl, are you a girl or a guy And when someone says they are a trans guy, are they a girl or guy. Like trans girl as in ur a girl who transed to a guy Or trans girl as a ur now a girl
I think you're gonna see some serious warping on the acrylic top without a solid block under the bridge You could install a hardwood block/bracing and coat it in a reflective finish too
Yeah I was thinking the same but even then, the block would be mounted alone to the plexi. Probably should have just made the guitar shallow and kept the back wood and the block for the trem. Then put reflective material on top of the wood.
WOOOOOOOWW That would be my dream guitar Absolutely magnificent Such a BEAUTIFUL sound Great sound Love the little jam at the end I could listen to it for 3 mins straight
That echo reverb goes great with the reflection/mirror/infinity theme. Amazing. Just binge watched three or four of your episodes. The skill, effort, and perserverance is very noble. God Bless🙏🏼
