Hi Jordan, I also built my own court in Belize🇧🇿!! We are in the process of painting it. So excited 😁. The colors I went with are similar as yours, I went with Red in the kitchen, Darker Blue in the serving areas and Green around the court. Mine is 34x64. Can't wait to play on it!! 🙆♀️
Congratulations Jordan, I love the colors that you’ve chosen , they are the perfect combination. You have a beautiful family, so happy for you! Love your videos.
Hey Jordan, Excuse the last post: Just signing in. Congrats on the new house, and your pvt. Pickleball court; both big endevors, and a Dream realized. You asked for some comments on the court, so hear you go: From a marketing avenue, we want to see, and learn from you. Your color scheme will definitely show off the movement of the pickleball, but the red will, without a doubt, pull some attention away from you, and it tends to make people angry, so they say. You know, "THEY". LOL. The bold colors, living in Arizona, which can already be one hot place to live, especially in the summer, except for the mountain region, which can be quite pleasant, will definitely generate additional heat. The ball will also travel further, with the rise of the heat. Nothing new there! Of course, you should have a wet-bar, overlooking the courts, so we would come over more often. All in all, we're all mostly, just jealous Jordan, Again, congratulations. May you have many wonderful years in your new house, and "Good Luck", with the new website. Don't overheat. Later Brudda
This is crazy! I wish I could do this with a pickleball court and a tennis court ;) The colors I would choose would probably be everything you have expect orange instead of red. But I would still be happy if I had red. Great camera quality and angles! I also play pickleball… and tennis! Just subscribed too!
Totally depends on how big of a slab you build, and also if you do post tension or not. A single court done professionally with acrylic paint is going to cost you anywhere between 20-40k.
Another guy says his build (30 x 60), material is about $2000; the project from starts to finish from 20 to 30k. So a big portion of the project cost goes to the labor. Can be a DIY project though
It’s awesome! So happy for you. I love the color combination as well! I hope you get many years of enjoyment from it. Your instructional videos have been a favorite of mine for some time. Let’s go Brandon! 😉
Congratulations! it looks beautiful! I'm planning to get a house with enough land to build a couple of courts! I hope to have a lesson from you in the coming months as I visit Arizona.
Congratulations. The court looks awesome. Wondering if you’ve had any complaints from your neighbors about the noise? Oh forgot to mention, I really appreciate your training videos. Lots of great tips and information. Thank you.
So cool, and every viewer is jealous for sure. Your videos have quickly gained greater clarity from your new location. Look forward to more. What agreements/arrangements did you make with neighbors regarding pball noise, time of play, etc.? Our public courts in a public park in Lake Oswego, Oregon are currently being reviewed by Parks and Rec. as to whether to close and relocate them due to a complaint.
Shazam! Amazing!! Epic! Welcome to the “Town” of Gilbert. You and your wife pick the best place in Phoenix to raise your small children. Hope to see you out at Gilbert Regional and meet all the amazing people from State 48 Pickleball group especially Jack & Tara who will make you feel like family. So don’t be shy, visit often and meet/see your friends. Can’t wait to get some training from you soon. Robert & Tina
Congratulations! Good for you. The only color change I’d make is tennis Court green for the service areas. But your court Is beautiful and better than the one I don’t have!
Congrats Jordan, its a beautiful court and I love the colors you have chosen. Also wanted to say I'm loving the new site and congrats and good luck on this new phase of your life.
The court looks great and I think you picked a nice color combination. Good luck with everything and I look forward to more of your instructional videos.
Awesome court. So exciting. I can't figure out why you would want to put a temporary net like that on your own permanent dedicated court? Is there a cross bar along the bottom? I am not a fan of the t support bars on the ground on the posts. They can get in the way when hitting Ernes and ATPs.
The legs that hold the net up are very small and don’t get in the way of ATPs. As for the bar on the bottom, I’ve yet to hit it even after a net cord from a dink, so it’s designed very well to avoid that. I choose this mainly because I didn’t want to put extra stress on the court by drilling holes in the ground, and also so that I can move it completely off the court if I needed to.
Was a roll out mat finish an option when you made your court? Have you played on a court with that finish? Any opinion on using a roll out finish? I understand it cuts the cost significantly.
Congrats Jordan ! I wanted to thank you for what you are doing to the sport ! I could well ask an advice from you on how to build a pickleball court since I'm building my own court when I get home to my country The Philippines in the Province of Bacolod ! Meanwhile, Bless you that I can share your expertized to help develop players & compete to the highest level ! We owe it to you & Katrina ! Keep it up & youe well on the way to your destiny ! God Speed .... Salamat .....
Awesome!! We are in AZ and getting concrete quotes now. Did you do acrylic paint yourself? Or who did it? Trying to figure what acrylic will cost and who can do it in AZ
Colors are great. It'd take me a year just to decide what colors to use. How do the shadows from the trees effect play?? You need shade in that AZ heat but, shadows are a drag... Finally, did you put a "true surface" on there or just paint your concrete? You didn't mention if Brandon was a "court" builder or cement guy. I'm very excited for you. Kev-
Shadows are a little tough sometimes, but generally aren’t a problem. This is concrete post tension with acrylic surface on top. My friend Brandon has a company that builds pools and courts so he has all his different guys.
Love the court, we just built one this fall. I'll be painting it next year, now to decide on the colors. I've noticed the ball is hard to see on an unpainted court.
Awesome court Jordan , I like the red for kitchen 👍. Go Briones , wish you good luck to grow high ! Have a question- how much it it cost for a court like this ?
Thanks! It definitely depends where you are and also how big of a court and what kind of court you build. Typically, you’re looking at 20-35k for one court.
Hubby also wants to build a PB in our backyard and this video will definitely inspire him! I do have a question for you... Did you get your neighbor's permission first because of the noise level inherent in PB? That is my hesitation, would love your comment on that.
Is the swimming pool underneath? Nice job. :) I would have gone w/ an avocado green on the outside, medium blue court, w/ light green NVZ. I hope you are enjoying AZ. I'm presently living in central OR, but am moving early next year. Either to Medford/Grants Pass area or Phoenix AZ area. I'm actually moving just for pickleball. Thank you for all the great videos this, and previous years. Happy New Year.
Goose Aiono. I am deciding to move to AZ or down to Medford/Grants Pass OR. I presently live in central OR. I'm actually moving so I can play more pball. I used to live in Scottsdale in 2005-08. Is there a lot of 4.0 - 4.5 players? I'm sure there are but just askin'. Thank you.
Hi Jordan - also building a pb court in east valley az. Did you include any cushion product under the acrylic? This is a prevalent trend on tennis courts, including the courts at the US and Australian Opens. I am going with medium green for the entire surface, except the backcourt is tourney purple. This is similar to the color combo used at Indian Wells. Congrats on your court! 😎
Get concrete quotes. This is the most expensive cost. I went with post tension. Check your area what concrete is best for your climate. All in, my court was just under 30k
@@BrionesPickleball Thank you for this very helpful information. Do you think going the tile approach would not be the best investment. Thinking about it to build out 4 courts for a place for people to rent out.
Love how it turned out. Like the colors as well. Never played a court with a red NVZ! What's your take on cushion layers like the SportMaster ProCushion? Do any pro court have it? Just seen it advertised a lot.
Really depends on how big of a court you want to make (how many feet you want on the baselines and sidelines), but you’re probably looking at 20-35k for a private court. Also, post-tension vs non post-tension is also a big difference as well. This is without lighting or a gate around it.
I built a court but have not painted it yet. I have been told it requires a special paint that provides some cushion, is this true? I can't find anything on what to paint it so I am probably going to hire someone. can you please let me know the latex paint you used for this? Looks very nice👍👍
