Working again this week are Mrs Luptons flood defences . Vertical steel rebar fixed into wide concrete foundations then the wall built using that. Hence, not so thick (from daily papers 2024 ).

That wall will collapse eventually, it’s under a lot of stress from the weight of mass amount of water. It needs arches for future proofing.
