Attending the first ever Dork in the Road campout at cold creek campground near Sisters, OR and riding parts of the Oregon BDR, sections 4 & 5.

You were definitely having more fun on the sandy whoops than I was on the AT, but it was still some awesome riding! Next time I might bring the DRZ instead! That whole weekend was so much fun and I hope that there's another one next year too. Hope your new rims come in quicker than anticipated!

Haha, yeah, despite the travel distance, those BDR sections are much more suited to bikes like a DRZ.

Most memorable times on the 390 have been in central Oregon. Like the bike was designed for that area. Had it in Washington, Idaho, Texas, South Dakota and Arizona. None of them compared to Oregon.

It's two parts 1. The Akro slip on muffler and 2. A competition werkes chamber delete. This setup has a good bark but isn't too loud and retains the stock catalytic converter.

I heard your rim got bent from the guy on the Norden. I bailed and went home to my daughter. At least you didn't get stuck out in the bush and had a good time.

Yeah, I actually rode another 250 miles finishing the weekend and all the way back home again. A couple weeks later, I took it for a little ride, and the tire totally debeaded off of one half the rim. Very anticlimactically though. I had to go get my trailer and bring it home. So it is waiting on new wheels which are pf course on backorder until October 😑 What were you riding at the event? The GasGas?

Good footage, editing, and music. Reading the comments glad the tire thing was anticlimactic. Just a better reason to get new spoked rims.

Hey thanks! Haha, yeah, I was refraining from burning the $1,000 it costs for spoked rims, but now I kind of have to 🥲. They are on backorder until mid-October through AOMC. Just an FYI for anyone else who might want a set...
