Lumpini Park is the first public park in Thailand built over 100 years ago. King Rama VI donated land at the outskirt of Bangkok to construct the park. The King used to be educated in a boarding school in England as a prince for several years and thus Lumpini Park was an attempt to emulate Hyde Park in England. Lumpini Park is the favorite park for people to exercise in the morning and evening. The park is world famous for its many monitor lizards, some are as long as 2-3 meters. Monitor lizard lives in the park's pond for decades. It has no predator so the park is the heaven for them. Nearby is Benjakitti Park which is connected to Lumpini Park via Green Skywalk. Benjakitti Park and its new extension (Forest Park) land used to house factories of Thailand Tobacco Monopoly. The factories were relocated to a remote province decades ago. Both Lumpini and Benjakitti parks are favorite for Thais and expats to relax, walking, biking or simply walking in the morning and evening. Biking is allowed in Lumpini park from 10.00-16.00. Other times are allocated to walkers and runners. Biking is allowed in all hours at Forest Park due to its dedicated bike lanes. The sculpture in Benjakitti Park is Prathumchart or literally Lotus Species. Lotus is the symbol of Buddhism and Thais bring lotus to the temple as merit offering. There is an annual event at the end of Buddhis Lent in September at Wat Yai Bang Pli to float a decorated boat to receive throwing lotuses along the canal ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KzOtkYDcvu8.html
The Buddhist holiday that you asked was Makha Bucha day it refers to the Buddha and the teachings that he delivered on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month so the alcohol drink sale is banned in this day.
I like kind of youtuber for traveling because no annoying effects or sounds. You described the environment during your trip in great detail. Make it like traveling with you. I'm jealous that you've been to all the interesting places in this country.

Good to see you come back to Bangkok. I have been doing a lot of travels last 10 plus years but I know I used to feel a lot more excited when I travelled when I was in my 20's and 30's. I am happy to see you doing great adventures in the South Asian countries. You will be very glad that you have had this experience in your 30's when you reach 50's and 60's.
Hi Zane! As far as gaining weight from eating all the delicious food in Thailand, you can do a few things. First, you could cut down on the carbohydrates such as rice, bread, potatoes, sugary drinks, sweet desserts...etc. Normally, I would eat the pork or chicken skewers with Som Tam (Green Papaya Salad) and sticky rice but now I leave out the sticky rice. Secondly, you could just eat the same but work out or walk more. The best plan is to eat less and walk more! Thai people are usually skinny because they eat smaller portions and walk a lot.
a little language tip: When you want to say "thank you", now you say "kap kun kap"... what you should say is "cup kun kap". Cup as a cup. :) ... for any girl reading this, you should not say kap. You say kah. Kap and kah is a polite suffix that do not have any direct meaning except making your speaking polite. It can be used as "yes" (kap or kah) but can be compared to nodding your head as a yes.
It’s good ur enjoying yourself Be it a travel or food it shows a combination as for other travel it also shows food. Enjoy life to the fullest Zane 🥳🥳🥳
I love your vids man, I lived in SE Asia for three years and I'm going back for a month trip this month. Been watching all your videos! Think it's pretty great that you have the bravery and motivation to film everything you do there. I would be too lazy and too shy to do that. Awesome!
From BKK airport to Asok, the shortest and cheapest way is Airport link to Makasan Station and change to MRT pethchaburi then take MRT 1 station to Sukhumwit (connect to BTS Asok station) cost 35 (ARL) + 17 (MRT)
Firstly found your “Thai McDonald” Vlog & then this one. Totally love yours! Welcome & thank you for visitting Thailand, glad you like our country & stuff. There’re a lot more to explore such as loads of other types of food or our wonderful beaches & islands (southern part). Come back again & do let us know if any local info needed. :)
Did you just miss (forest section) of Benjakitti park? It's further towards the right side from the lake. The lake area is only 15% of the whole park. .. Thailand isn't the best place to enjoy steak since the majority of the population prefers pork or chicken. If you are into steak or beef Japan has some of the best beef choices for a range of prices. However if you're into beef while in Thailand, I'd suggest beef stew noodle. There is a restaurant called Heng Chun Seng one MRT stop from your hotel. An interesting Chinese inspired Thai cuisine you might want to try. Cheers!
You could just exit the ARL at Makasan station and take MRT 1 stop down to Asoke. It would save you at least 20 minutes and maybe half the price. Try this next time, will ya?
You can change train line at Makkasan station(airport rail link) to Phetchaburi(MRT). MRT Phetchaburi station > Sukhumvit station(same BTS Asok) It faster and cheaper than BTS.
After last time I exactly believe that how much you love fired-chicken. By the way the spicy sauce most Thai used with Boiled-chicken but someone mix it together
I'm Thai, I've watched your vlog. One thing to apologize for is that some services may not fit in with the atmosphere of "Smile Siam Land of Smiles", especially food vendors in department stores or any public places. may be due to seller Employees that Thai employers have hired foreigners to help work in the shop. They may not have the same culture or mind set as Thai people.
Rice steamed with chicken soup is so delicious, but you shouldn't eat too often as there is fat-rich chicken broth cooked in the rice. Btw we eat spicy dipping sauce with steamed chicken and sweet dipping sauce with fried chicken.
@17.10 The guy at the left of the screen. Nothing is wrong about choices. Thailand is like that. Places to visit: King Power Mahanakorn Tower. 25 bux per entry to the skywalk floor. It will not disappoint and will make you again say those famous words "The best place ....". There are also beach places if that's your thing.
You got it wrong again my friend. You should have had the boiled chicken instead of the fried chicken. Hainanese chicken rice is the ultimate eastern comfort food but what you ordered wasn't it.
