I love these Eastern European "old town" cities. So pretty! Have you visited Krakow or Wroclaw in Poland - they are just as beautiful. Liked the music - "Pure Imagination" from 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' - matched the atmosphere really well!
Lmao this is absolutely bizarre. I found this channel randomly because I want to move to Russia, and saw this video about Riga and got curious. Turns out you were staying in the same building as where I own an apartment. I left Latvia in 2020 so I'm actually renting out my apartment in that building as well now haha. Many owners in that building own multiple properties and tend to rent them out so there's often something available. I'm living in Western Europe now but I wanna move to Russia, hopefully this year. What city would you recommend to move to? I was currently considering St Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan. But I am certainly no expert, the only Russian city I've been to was Moscow.
Nearly all of those apartments are privately owned. The address is kugu iela 26, Riga. Many landlords there live somewhere else so you can probably find something there at all times of the year.
