I have to say, your choice of backing music for your videos is spot on. I always look forward to your videos. The music and the drone shots are very relaxing. It's like a big hug to ease you into a Sunday morning. The MOT failures for the van are mostly Mickey Mouse stuff. Ball joints and anti-roll bar drop links are common fails. I'd advise steering clear from eBay or Euro Car Parts and buy OEM quality. I used cheap(er) parts on a BMW and ended up having to change the drop links every year. Not cheap when they're knackered after 10 months. I ended up buying genuine links from BMW, only £10 more each than the 'cheap' ones, and haven't had to replace them again in the past 5 years. Cheaper parts might look the same, but the quality can be shockingly bad. In the same vein, don't buy cheap, nasty tyres, brake discs or pads. Your tyres and brakes are the two items which contribute more to your safety (and others) and your driving pleasure than any others. They are not items to be skimped on. Hopefully you get the van sorted ASAP. I think your main problem was buying a Transit that's wrong wheel drive. 😉 Oh, just an aside. - Unless things have changed, if you put a vehicle in for a MOT before the current MOT expires, and the vehicle fails, the failure cancels out the remaining existing MOT. It's failed and you shouldn't drive it. Wasn't a problem before the digital age, but these days plod has ANPR, and MOT, tax & insurance information is all online.

Hi,the airbag light can be set off by the cable under the front seats normally a yellow connector has disconnected slightly. It sounds like you still have your cold? Hope you're van doesn't cost to much to get through its MOT 🤞 Was interesting seeing Matt recycling shop, great to promote on your channel such a great thing we can all do to keep are beaches beautiful for us and are children 👍

You should have stopped by Marazion Long Rock you could have filled your boots with plastic there! A friend of mine is there almost daily beach cleaning and 2 weeks ago she bumped into Steve Backshall and had a good chat about conservation and ecology and even had a few selphies with him. 😁

If you're ever in east anglia and have van issues. Let me know, especially if it's just lights on the dash etc. I know the video is a few months old, but I'm good with Forscan, I code cars etc for people in various clubs (doing a Fiesta ST later on today). Saves getting ripped off with diagnostic fees at garages etc, or paying through the nose for coding with an auto electrician. A lot of the time, the airbag module is coded to a given ECU or engine, so if it detected changes, it will illuminate the light due to a communication fault/issue. Relatively simple fix.

Great that you couldn't find any, head to North Sands, Salcombe if you are Devon way and there is normally loads unfortunately, often leave the beach with a bucket full when visiting my family

Hi Karlos, I think that whatever you have, it depends on time of year, most places around Cornwall, have no issues with you "overnighting" during the off season, especially if you use the local shop and pub, as it helps them during the slow months. When I stayed, the week before Shaun, they were really friendly and I had many chats, whilst sitting having a glass of wine, with my side door fully open. I do however understand that during summer it could cause a issue. This is one reason I tend to do most my travelling during the cold, wet, & windy months.

Hi shaun, The position light is just a 501 side light bulb. It'll be the same for the side repeater bulb aswel, just an Amber 1 in stead👍

The airbag light can be simple as the garage connecting the battery whilst an airbag connector is disconnected. No matter what they do afterwards it's needs a reset as it stores a fault. The ball joint is a simple job, and the arb link is also simple. Days diy work to get the van through and mot at most. Just replace the egr as itll be stuck open id imagine. Van wouldnt start if its stuck closed.

Amazing what Matt is doing. It’s a good sign you didn’t find any plastic but it’s a rarity and most likely due to high tides. I’ve thought about trying the hand plane, might be good to use when my daughter is bodyboarding and I need to stay close and mobile but without my surfboard. Be good to see a video of how to use it when you get in the water 🙏🏼

Just FYI, if your vehicle fails its MOT, its not allowed on the road until it's fixed, unless driving to/from a pre booked MOT test, or to get work done - it doesn't matter if you get it tested early, it's immediately without an MOT!

Great to see the clean beaches, wouldn't be like that here in South Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 unfortunately. I can't see the link for Matt's shop by the way. To ensure there's a world left for our children & theirs too we all need to really change the way we live. We have a refill shop a few villages away where you can get refills of household cleaning products, shampoo, conditioner etc & many food products too including wine & olive oil plus rape seed oil produced in North Wales. They sell lots of different food & personal care products made locally including vegan cake on Saturdays - almond croissants to die for. Also have been making my own deodorant for years so completely plastic free. Every little helps but doing nothing isn't an option any longer. Keep up the channel & good luck with the van.

Another great video again, showing how beautiful Cornwall is in winter Your cupboard doors look good without paint Shaun - if you can find any baskets that fit in the cupboards they can help you keep organised I guess you were too keen to get your van back after the new engine to get them to fix the airbag light - they shouldn't have left the van like that Always good to see the dishes at Goonhilly, thanks! Matt's shop was great - you don't get too many craft business in buildings with a shop front up country. In penwith there's much more variety, though a lot of places struggle to keep going over the winter - Cripplesease pottery had a wonderful view when open - if they'd stayed open until painting pottery became popular they might still be going ... I've just spotted a moving video from 'man down Cornwall' - a mental health support group. If you have time to watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HlrIB_9xk3M.html and think this group should have wider reach, could you consider mentioning it in next week's video?

Ahh was always lead to believe if your vehicle failed you were only allowed to drive it to a place for repairs and back to be reinspected, maybe this has been changed due to recent years!

@@chrismcbride2806 this is what I found on the web What happens if you have your MOT early and it fails? If my car fails its MOT, can I drive it? If you take the test early and your car fails its MOT, you can continue to drive it until the certificate expires.
