Enjoy how you appreciate the old tools and restore them to use instead of just tossing them and buying new ones. New ones won't last near as long as those made many years ago. Take the handle off glue and put a pin like a piece of nail through the cracks thats how you repair gun stocks it works. just did one on a saw turned out great.

On the handle that's cracked, you can drill a 1/4 in hole all the way through at an angle, out wood glue in the hole and on the dowel, tap the dowel rod through the hole, sand flush.

Take care of them which I know you will and they will out live you. They don’t make tools like they used to, cheaper steal today and not as strong.

I did not sharpen them and have never sharpened a handsaw. I’ll probably have to look it up on RU-vid before I attempt to sharpen my own
