@@kaylamcentee7281no way, it's precise but it won't stop him if he doesn't have to show us the first tries lol. Also it's a bit tough to judge visually if he failed some of these recipes or not anyway
@@LineupLarry69 no shit lmfao, I doubt anyone actually thinks this guy is serious with the ego thing but we still want to see him do the dragon beard properly
@@seleniaoriglio4015 bro stfu, I read some of your other comments and they are mid as f*ck, you aren’t a baker your a retard. Your croissants are probably as flat as your chest.
I once ate these in france and they were delicious af (also i drank a coffee drink and it was the first time actually drinking one and i was super energized after that😅)
@@TeenagePrince72 Have you ever made something an idol, used God’s name as a cuss word, dishonor your parents, murder (God views hate as murder), lusting, stealing, lying, wanting something another has that isn’t rightfully yours? Doing so we violating the law, which is sin, and because of sin there is a punishment…If a serial killer like Ted Bundy tells a judge of all the good things he’s done for society do you think the judge would let the serial killer off free? The same is with us; we’ve committed such crimes against God that we are separated from God forever; we are punished by suffering Hell for eternity, a place with no hope for us. But God loves us so much and with all his heart that he gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, to this cursed world to be crucified on the cross. (John 3:16-17) Now anyone who accepts Jesus Christ, God’s Son, as their Lord and Savior and believes he rose from the dead the third day will be saved from eternal damnation in Hell and live in Heaven in paradise with him forever. Many will choose to follow Satan, whether it be because they think they won’t succeed otherwise or won’t have any joy or friendships, but he will soon reveal himself as a murderer and a liar as he was since the beginning and he will curse all his followers as he cursed God and all of Satan’s followers will be cased into ever burning Hell. Don’t believe this lie I too believed in! Our God is a loving God full of compassion, yet he is a righteous God with righteous judgment. (Matthew 13:41-42)
@@ABrandin or he'll bake a really shitty croissant and say that he actually did it right but croissants must just be a shitty food, a la the dragon's beard video
For hardened sugar stuck on any pot or bowl, put some hot tap water in and just let it soak in the sink. The hot/warm water will melt down the sugar enough to make it easy to wash away with a soapy sponge.
Just throwing this out there for anyone who’ll find it useful but if your caramel hardens in your saucepan just add water, reheat and it’ll dissolve. Good luck :)
I never understand when people say that they followed a recipe from a respectable source and it failed. You literally just have to follow esch step to the letter in baking.
@@djsteg2287 he isn't hurting anyone in particular, and imo if bakers are so easily offended by a single influencer who's deliberately trying to draw and keep people into his content, there would be no way they'd survive day-to-day life. i highly doubt this is anything worse than a joke tldr: he "bashes" them for views, and takes care not to target actual people. its probably a joke, i doubt anyone disrespects bakers and baking if he makes content about it
They're really not. Unless you're the kind of person to fret over one of the corners being 2 degrees more bent than the other they're really not hard to nail. You learn how to do them like 2 hrs into your first pastry course.
@@yououttapockethmmm.... Its honestly different for every region. As a person living in Asia, the air is rlly humid and the butter melts super quickly, and we have to keep refrigerating them yk? And it ends up a complete fail a lot of times 😭
I could see that happening, croissants can be pretty temp sensitive, and all bread can be messed up by bad humidity. You're taught to keep everything cold at all times@@desluggishslug
youre my inspiration, not because of baking or anything, but just because of the sheer level of audacity and pure talent you have (also the confidence but yk)
@@aaditsoni3962they aren't even similar lol, both their humors are different, cooking process is different, senyai is more humor while this guy is mainly cooking with some humor. these comments are unoriginal atp.
Yeah, I was thinking almost the same thing. I was looking for if he had made any japanese castella cakes because those are really hard to make and if he manages to make them fluffy af I will honestly admit that the guy is a great baker. I have tried to make them like 3 times myself and they always deflate some time in the oven.
@@JohnSmith-kt3yy deflate in the oven or out of the oven? If it's deflating once it's done it's because a: it's overbaked and b: you didn't flip it upside down to cool. It needs to be cooled quickly after it's done.
@@yououttapocket It deflates in the oven. Tbh it can be because I cant find any good recipes and have to cobble together two random ones. One says to have it be in the oven for like 40 minutes the other like 70. It still always deflates in the oven, it looks great until it just doesnt anymore.
The craquelin is supposed to be slightly larger than the cream puff, and to help with the stuck sugar, sugar dissolves in water so just leave it in water for a few hours.
this is so real bc to me, baking is super easy as long as you follow the instructions, it will turn out pretty decent. cooking is where i alwaysss struggle, i need my ancestors to tune in and teach me how to season 😭
I used to be okay at baking, but as I've developed a better sesnse for cooking I've stopped measuring alltogether and now even when im baking theres the little voice saying "this is stupid just pour it in", also i dont own any measuring cups or spoons
I can cook I just don’t like to cook. Once I made a pesto pasta with a sausage and potato soup for dinner, everyone loved it but it took me 2 hours for me to eat a 15 minute meal lol.
Yeah, this guy doesn’t realize that it’s so much harder for professional bakers to bake because they cant just follow an online recipe and are instead forced to innovate and deviate to maintain their appeal. If all bakers just followed recipes online and didn’t have any nuance, then there would be no point in going to a specific baker
@@ultravires. yeah but the difference between cooking and baking is that Baking often comes down to very precise measurements while cooking is easier to just do things that probably taste good. Like with baking you have "Whoops you added a little bit too much egg now the entire cake just combusts spontaniously when you cut into it" while with cooking its like "yeah it tastes a little too much like one ingredient" but thats only if you have things that overpower it.
@@ultravires. not true at all. if you've eaten it before, have a palate, and can cook, you will probably do a decent job. the quality of the end result will depend on your experience with the requisite ingredients. I've done this multiple times with varying degrees of success. it's never perfect (most recipes aren't either), but it's usually pretty, good, and comparing to a real recipe afterwards is always interesting.
In france, there's a cake where it's literally just hose stacked up it's called Saint honoré and it's absolutely delicious (though the filling is more cream than chocolate)
@happydogger5009 it unironically is pretty difficult because you have to mold the molten sugar around it both without burning yourself and without snapping the sugar. But regardless, his croquembouche is incomplete. Lastly, there are other faults in his various other baked goods, especially his macarons.
@@unsealedlemon3947 thats true but also not the point of his series. the point is that its easier than most ppl think it is to bake desserts that, even if they dont entirely follow tradition, are delicious and simple to make. like yeah, maybe he didnt do the melted sugar drizzle it because its really hard, but thats not important to him because it tastes good.
@ivy-re6qo in that case, the series is misguided. Of course, it is easy to make baked goods taste good. Most pastries include sugar, vanilla, and chocolate, so making them taste good is easy. The reason so many pastries are hard to make has to do with aesthetics and decoration. It's like making a wedding cake with no decorations on it and then saying that making a wedding cake is easy. Of course, it is easy because you didn't do the part that made it hard.
