Join us on a delightful journey through the bustling Tanjung Bungah Night Market (Pasar Malam Tanjung Bungah) as we embark on a culinary adventure with my family! In this exciting vlog, we revisit the vibrant stalls to capture the essence of street food heaven, including the mouthwatering Char Koay Teow from the legendary Bao Ji Fresh Xihum Char Koay Teow stall. Remembering the irresistible flavors from last week, we couldn't resist indulging in another serving!
But that's not all; we delve into the rich tapestry of flavors offered by various vendors, sampling a myriad of tantalizing street delicacies. From savory bites to sweet treats, there's something to tantalize every taste bud. And of course, no trip to the night market is complete without paying a visit to my all-time favorite rojak buah stall, Ah Chye Best Rojak. With nearly six decades of history, Ah Chye's delectable creations hold a special place in my heart, evoking fond memories of childhood days spent devouring his mouthwatering rojak at Gurney Drive.
To add to the excitement, Ah Chye treats us to a mesmerizing display of his ninja cutting skills, showcasing his mastery in crafting the perfect rojak. It's moments like these that make revisiting the night market not just a culinary experience but a nostalgic journey down memory lane. As I introduce my kids to the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of the market, I can't help but reminisce about the cherished moments spent here with my own parents during my childhood.
Join us as we rediscover the magic of Tanjung Bungah Night Market, where every visit is a celebration of family, food, and timeless traditions. Don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more exciting adventures and culinary escapades!

You are very welcome... sometimes the kids help me a lot to add more context. Especially Ailsa, she is getting more "expressive" nowadays LOL

Since you mentioned it I also noticed the uncle gently frying the ckt as if he didn't want to hurt it! 😅

He is using a gas fire which isn't too powerful, also his wok is carbon steel and not cast iron. I think he spent time to perfect his process to get wok hei! A hawker once told me that when you fry it is better for the koay teow to fall flat on the pan for maximum flavour. That one takes skill also

That is a very good question... I have also asked the same thing! Somehow maybe it is the suppliers, like koay teow, or maybe the sauce? I dunno... LOL

Any CKT stalls in Penang is good, rating not less than 8/10 compare with other places, same as Klang BKT...reason is stiff competition, if not good close shop.. in anything, competition bring out the best.

Same as in Ipoh... must be good to survive. But sometimes if opened near factories people still eat due to convenience. LOL

yes there is, I see it often on Indian stall menu. Or you can just order the drink from the coffee stalls. They sell kopi/tea/milo definitely can mix them up lol. Like yuan yang, not stated on menu you still can order them. I remembered my first taste of coffee as a kid, was my mom mixing my milo with kopi at a hawker centre.
