Thank you teacher, it really is amazing. Imagine how many accidents we could have avoided with those side-by-side cameras that help the drone. Thanks so much!

What’s the yellow dot in the middle? Plus, now with this you can’t see the indicator if the drone is beyond visual how can you adjust the remote direction towards the drone?

they should update this for all previous drones with camera sensors, too. more than obvious it is just a matter of simple firmware update. but dji usually never listen to do something about their older or even current drones. for ex, i was repeatedly asking on their forum to do just a little update for m2p, to have option for simple switch from full frame capture to crop mode (so kind of zoom from 28 to 45mm eq.), which al newer drones do, without need get into menus, changing mode and all that. never happen and a lot of similiar requests also.

By now I’ve heard quite a lot of RU-vidrs, stating that this new feature, that you are able to see through the sensor cameras, is “fantastic”, “amazing” or even “a game changer”. But, to be honest, I really can’t see how or why. I mean, if I can see an objects, so can the sensor, and will therefore avoid the obstacles. It will do so regardless of me seeing the obstacles or not, and is, might I add, the sole purpose of the sensors existence. In some cases, it’s quite possible that the sensor will see obstacles I won’t. Again, it is designed to do so, while I might have great difficulties identifying any obstacle in the small black n white screen down to the left. The other way around - me seeing something the sensor doesn’t - seems highly unlikely. I find this new feature a bit amusing, and think of it as a rather funny gimmick. To avoid crashing I’ll just stick to good old VLOS, and trust the sensors to help me out if I miscalculate😊👍

It is about seeing something before the sensor detects it. Like a road that you don't want to be flying near or over. Could be pedestrians. You can't rely on a sensor to stop you flying into a pedestrian or even worse there could be moving vehicles on the road. Having this will let you see the road and stop well before any of the sensors detect an obstacle

But yes having VLOS would help but if you/your spotter is in line with the drone and the obstacle, they might be able to see the drone but not guage the distance between the drone and obstacle

first of all, one good real world use, which could come handy, was already presented in video, why not watch, before commenting? but in general, it could be a help doing something in manual, when usually you put avoidance etc off. and in general would be helpful, when you for ex. not have direct vlos and drone in stuck in some tricky situation, you cab also see, what is happening with props etc. camera sensors are there and active all the time anyway, why not just give a pilot option to see that? good idea would be also, ta make a video stream from sensor cameras active on external video feed, so you can hook up phone or tab additionally.

@@ClarkDroneFilms thanks for responding. It§s always interesting is someone bothers to argue (at least partly) agains you. To start, just to be clear, you write about sensors "detecting" obstacles, but I interpret that as "reacting" at obstacles, simply because I do believe the sensor detect everything it sees and I'm told the sensor system constantly reads the surroundings up to 150 meter away. And as I argued, I don't think you will be able to see anything in the sensor cameras, that the drone hasn't already detected. I do, however, agree that one can't rely on the sensor to calculate a the speed of a moving car or understanding that we shouldn't even getting close to a pedestrian. But we might disagree on how to achieve necessary control. I wouldn't rely on the the sensor camera to achieve necessary control - and I'm actually not allowed bu law to rely on sensor camera. I understand you live int the UK, and I'm nor familiar with drone rules there, but in the EU VLOS means not only seeing the drone, but also to have a good enough overview over the flying area and potensial risk situations (like a moving car or a kindergarten group out walking). In other words it might seem as we want to achieve the same goal of good control, but when you argue the sensor camera will be of great assistance I argue that VLOS is a much more reliable way to gt that necessary control. But that being said, I do understand better now, why a lot of people are pretty enthusiastic about this new feature. 😊😊
