I was forced to subsist on a thin stew of prawns, vegetables, coconut milk, and four kinds of rice. I came close to madness trying to find it here in the States, but they just can't get the spices right!
poor Skinner, was tortured with delicious food while being a POW, had to wear a helmet, was in a tiger cage, and no parade. No wonder so many had PTSD.
America showed by withdrawing from Afghanistan that you can win all the battles and still lose the war. That is why Russia and China are better allies, they don't let civilians or the midia medle in key business.
@@darthvenator2487 I don't think plowing through public outcry and plugging your ears to the screams of the murdered is the most enlightened of moves, generally speaking
@@darthvenator2487 lol when you think that screaming murdered people is somehow a good thing so long as it leaves your guys on top, you've cast your lot in with evil. _All_ empires deserve destruction―no gods, no masters
That character mixture is so hilarious. Back when Skinner was paradoxically an out of touch mama's boy, and a hardcore Vietnam veteran with PTSD. I don't care how outdated the 90's might be, I'm a zoomer and I still get the humour in classic Simpsons.
Well gentlemen it's just a small school carnival. And it's heading for a great big lawsuit. You made a big mistake Skinner. Well so did you. YOU GOT AN EX-GREEN BERET MAD.
I came to RU-vid to see what are the symptom for ptsd but before i pressed enter, i see this video in my suggestion. I think RU-vid read my mind again.
@@paultrigger3798 Yeah, Skinner would be in his 70s to 80s right now if he was a Vietnam vet. Though I heard that there were some Vietnam vets who reenlisted during the 2nd Gulf War.
Eventually they’re going to have make Grampa a Vietnam vet and Skinner a Gulf vet if they want to keep the time consistent. Otherwise skinner would be older than 70 by now
This is a good illustration of how the show increased in quality over time. The PTSD scene in Season 7 is much better with the music, animation, and script. This scene is good too but it's more of a skeleton of the better scene that came later.
Skinner can be a little comparable to Kreese and Silver because all three suffered PTSD in different ways. Can’t wait to see Silver return in Cobra Kai Season 4!
Do they still kept in Canon that skinner was in Vietnam? Cause with how long the shows been going I don't think it'd make sense for a Vietnam vet to be his supposed age.
Really sad when you think about it. I make sure to tell all Vietnam vets Welcome Home because of how horrible the lefties treated them when they got back. Anyone who fights communism is a hero.
This is a years ago, but anyone interested I found a book The Spitting Image: Myth, Memory and the Legacy of Vietnam that seems to point to the spitting thing being a myth.
