@@masterjenkins632 yeah totally. if you like wind waker or majora's mask, try a randomizer for them. especially for wind waker. making it open and non linear makes it feel like a whole new experience.

@@Shano1101 I had an idea to solve that, there could be a new game plus where all the mission and race take advantage of the other maps, so the original game design is intact while the new map is in NG+

EmeraldCrossing01 I quite like Virtual Springfield sure there wasn't much gameplay there besides moving to other locations but what it lacks in gameplay it more than makes up for in sheer charm it was like being in a actual episode of the Simpsons I miss when a lot of the computer games were 2D animated it holds up a lot better than the 3D stuff.

What I notice is, modern games are bad because game developers are so focused on graphics that they don’t focus on making great characters, games today are also to political, they also have poor game play with poor story and activates. Overall, fewer companies making games means there’s less competition and therefore they only need to nail the trailer, graphics with map design. People will buy the games even tho there not the quality of the old ps2 era or the early PS4 era. When I talk about games the older games like simpsons, need for speed, Star Wars and even barnyard are all far better and much more memorable games because game developers had to compete with a larger amount of options and didn’t really on technology to mask there games flaw. It was vital to make games memorable by making players love characters and story. Notice how today most games are online and have no to little story and character development. Online is just a business making scheme which has a simile effect to gambling. Comment if you agree or disagree.

If they remake it they should redo the whole map from the ground up, game is so old that just an HD re-release won't be very exciting

@@wile123456 We're at a point now where a new game would basically be indistinguishable between game and TV show. It would be absolutely incredible to have this remade using today's tech

@@AverageAtBestHDTB if a Simpsons game had to look like the show it should be 2D with hand drawn assets, or it should be rendered similarly to Dragonball FighterZ, which uses 3D but posing, pinpoint animation and cell shading to make it look 2D. That isn't easy to do though, so they'll need to give a team enough time and money to properly do it

It did mine as well. Yesterday I had to 100% the game after I noticed most of my old saves from 2004 were at 95% or higher. It's still such a fun game even to this day.

@@drewlovelyhell4892 hit and run was released in 2003, just cause was released 2006. 3 years, especially for games back then, is a lot of time. Even if the ps2 didn't improve, im sure developing software did, thus making it easier to create bigger, more demanding games.

Why reboot a game that is already good?

Because it's a licensing nightmare. Fox, or Disney who owns them, needs to license the game to be made and also have a billion other companies agree since you need so many things like the voice cast and other TV stations. Tie in games with movies and shoes mostly only happen as marketing, when a new movie or season launches and the game is used to create hype. Simpsons isn't doing too hot right now which might be why. Making an original IP means it will be much easier to remake In the future because you don't to worry about these things as much

@@tylermatthews427 It's because EA owns the rights to Simpsons games now and this game was made by Radical and published by Vivendi Universal who got bought out by Activision and later shut down. You could get a remake of The Simpsons Skateboarding though ;) That was EA.

Relic og a time when devs didn't want to or have time to make specific HUD for every console including PC. Especially on PC its an issue since you can ebind everything or you might still use a conteoller These days they program the hud so it changes icon depending on what button you have assigned

There doesn't seem to be any "any" key!

There are still games that use descriptions like "press (button 3) to continue". And some PC games still to this day refer to the function rather than the actual key, like the "press the action button to continue" example.....double points if the devs decided to bind the default button to something you never ever use as an action button like J or Ctrl or something.

All the console versions had specific huds, back when this was released on pc xinput didn't exist, directinput was the main means of controller input through windows which allowed for various gamepads to work and self implementation from developers to distinguish a device. Xbox controllers weren't used on pcs back then so of course they didn't integrate a hud for them on pc, this came out in 2003
