Phnom Penh is incredible, and it's hard to believe I almost skipped the city entirely. That would have been a mistake. It is absolutely beautiful, built right on the waters edge, with amazing food, bars, cafes, historical sights, and shopping, you don't want to miss it. I thought it would just be another big city, but it was so much more, and I need to spend more time here. I barely scratched the surface. If this city is not on your bucket list, it needs to be!

I have lived in PP Cambodia for almost 8 - months, and I have no plans to leave. Wonderful, kind , and polite are all the words I would use to describe the Khmer people.

Cambodia has come a long way and the people had to live through so much pain and suffering not that long ago. Glad you enjoyed visiting the country and happy travels from a genocide survivor 🎉

Cambodia used to be a pearl of South East Asia during the 1960 period. However because of political conflicts it had plunged the country into civil war and leaded to the gencided of millions of innocent people. we,Cambodians, have a long way to recover . Welcome to Cambodia. There are many things that tourists missed when visiting Phnom Penh such as Kun Khmer events, Farm stay in outskirts of Phnom Penh (Amarak Farm), Euro Park in Peng Huoth Beoung Snor, Night Markets in Boeung Kok (Sunshine Family Park}, shooting range, zoo and theme parks and much more.

Hi Petrena! I'm a 55 year old Canuck and I've been living in Phnom Penh full time for 5 months now and love it! I have a small pension and I'm able to save a few hundred dollars a month living here with a nice standard of living! Just found your channel now and subscribed...would have been nice to meet for coffee! If you had walked the other way from where you were dropped off at the river you would have began the riverside walk you intended on seeing! Safe travels and maybe see you somewhere down the road...I travel a lot as well.

It is amusing how people use intensifiers like "amazing", "fantastic", "wonderful", "awesome" etc prolifically on ordinary and sometimes mundane things. The miso soup and sushi where she comes from must be pretty bad, I suppose. 🤔 Cambodia is a developing gem in South East Asia. Often overlooked but certainly has the diversity potential to be a top destination. Rough around the edges and in the shadow of bigger names like Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines, it does deserve a look.
