The whole green vs blue beams thing is reated to the academy dueling restrictions (green= Limiter on, low power, blue= Limiter off). Ideally, it should include both colors!
That’s the only reason why I’m holding off on this because of waiting for the rebuild😂 if they don’t end up making it, I’ll just do a garage kit or something but hopefully they will😅
Can't wait also for Caliburn, Schwarzette, Darilbalde, Pharact, Michaellis, lfrith, ur and thorn, Beguir pente, honestly WFH designs are cool and would want them in Full mechanics form as I only collect 1/100 eheheh
honestly it really feels like there isnt going to be a mg aerial because of how far they went on this kit. with the old no grade 1/100 kits they were very obviously budget kits just to make a larger figure but this really is amazing and comes with stuff like the chrome shell unit which I would think they would save for a more premium kit
@@jaypeadieL611 Just to add more confusion to the mix. Physical age of Ariel is like 21 ~ 21+4?. Meanwhile Eri mental maturity is a big ?, because how much can you really grow in a Mobile suit?
Wasn't sure when I bought it, didn't knew about the Full Mechanic thing but really, it turned in one of my favorite build with the RX-78-2 MG 3.0 for kits this size, both stand proudly on my top shelf as my favorite pieces
I wonder what this would mean for a future Mg Aerial. I mean there are the obvious features like a full inner frame, a cockpit and a shield needing no adaptor, better detail, but what else
Piles of effect parts, conversion components to swap frrom from the original aerial to the Rebuild, stands aplenty for the bits, a comprehensive action base, interchangeable parts for all the GUND settings, battle damage, bloody hand, both beam rifles, and any new toys Aerial shows in future episodes.
@@bthsr7113 A good chunk of this sounds like it would be locked behind P-Bandai Interchangeable Gund-arm system does sound very neat but I wonder how one would pull that off without being too cumbersome, or they simply won’t bother.
Clearly the ability to compliment the greatest master grade ever. The 1/100 cow with bonus Turn-A Gundam. We've got a goat (did we get the one from Doan's Island yet?) a cow, and chickens after all.
Well someone already made a custom 'MG' of it with an opening hatch even way before the FM was announced or released so it may not be hard for Bandai as well. Also Bandai might release the Aerial not as a regular MG but an MGEX kit because of Permet score gimmick.
"it looks more expensive than it actually is" This only works if you pre ordered her. I had to shell out 50 USD in my currency for her. Others shelled out 60 to 80 in my area.
Same, in my country this kit and all the SEED Full Mechanics kit are more expensive than most fan-favourite MG kits like the Barbatos, the SEED 2.0s , the Grandaddy 3.0 etc. So it is a very hard sell for me eventhough I like the design.
The (ALWAYS BULKY) Zaku III is like: "Oh! I see you too believe every day is Leg Day. Nice. And such delicate feet... You uh, want to work out sometime?"
Really wanted to own this kit, but god damn the scalpers here in my country bought up all the stocks even before pre-order became available. The online price for this kit became beyond reasonable too.
I really like it so far but the hands just aren't doing it for me, way too loose of a grip on everything it really should have a tab on the palm and socket in the handles
No joke, Aerial and Calibarn are currently my favorite Gundam designs, and I HATE the 1/144th scale, mostly because I started on 1/100. I'd LOVE for more from Witch From Mercury, even though I'm winding down on the hobby.
And I can’t believe it’s not butter! But in all seriousness, is the effect stand for the 1/144 scale model compatible with the shield when it’s in attack mode?
I was hoping maybe the MG aerial looked like the one RAY STUDIO made,Even if it's just the shield🤤,it just looks boring to see the black part on the shield not used when in mode bit on form
This kit is definitely a mixed bag for me. While it is drop dead gorgeous and blows any WFM kit out of the water when it comes to aesthetics, the stability issues are absolutely disappointing. The peg connecting the two torso joints are extremely lose that just a slight touch would make the whole upper body bend backwards. The feet joints are also quite loose as well, that when trying out foward-reaching poses the Aerial has a chance to fall forward due to the feet bending up on me. I used clear nail polish to fix these, and even then I'm quite scared of playing around with it. Right now I just leave it in your typical Gundam standing pose on my desk, but to be honest it already looks good as it is. For me it's more of a display-rather-than-play piece compared to the HG kits which are way more stable and less headache-inducing. If they ever decide to introduce Full Mechanics kits of the Aerial Rebuild and Calibarn, I hope they redesign the torso structure of these kits because the much heavier weaponry of the Aerial Rebuild and Calibarn are going to absolutely obliterate the kits' stability.
They don't normally release 100% newly tooled MG while the target series is on the air. The only time this happened was during AGE. They've historically seen releases within 1-3 years after the series concluded. MG Barbatos came out 4 years after IBO started.
I know I’m probably in the minority, but I kind of hate how angular they made the FM Aerial. I’m not a preexisting Gundam fan, so I’d rather the big fancy model kit of what’s easily my favorite design from the franchise be as accurate as possible. I’m all for added details, but I think some of the changes here really do step on the toes of the original design. The legs in particular really bother me- especially the changes to the top part of the knee pads and the shifting yellow vents/thrusters(?) of ambiguous purpose. The front of the thighs are also flattened in a way that goes against the look of the Aerial, IMO. Also, maybe it just looks absolutely incredible in person under normal lighting, but every image and video I’ve seen of the shell unit has made all of the embossed chrome red pieces fully stand out (as if the entire chest windows were glowing) instead of the red lines glowing against a black background like in the show. :/ But I guess I don’t have much to complain about, with how great the HG Aerial turned out. Edit: I bet the chrome red pieces would look better on the Lfrith Ur and Thorn. Maybe the HGs for those should’ve had that instead of the clunky stickers we got.
Huh my comment got deleted....ill try again: In the latest issue of hobby japan some modeler added black inbetween the lines on the metallic red pieces. Problem, imo, is that the red pieces then dont shine through the smokey translucent plastic well enough anymore because the black surrounding it absorbs too much light. I wouldve expected it to look obviously better but turns out its not now that ive seen it haha. But others might like it being a more subtle thing.
here's a question, it looks unique but can other 1/100 scale green beams (like Nemo off top of my head) work with the Aerial's peg? it's a minor thing but I do wish i could use green beam effects with one of my Gundam aerial kits.
Nope, the FM Aerial uses a flat rectangular peg instead of the standard round peg. And even if you were to simply cut off the pegs and superglue the beam effect part of the Nemo to the Aerial's beam saber, it would still look off (the entire handle is flat/rectangular). And the only other 1/100 scale kits I can think of that use flat beam sabers that could fit, all use pink blades (the Astrays and 00 machines)
As confused as I am when people keep telling me that Huckebein Mk 2 and Mk3 ain't a Gundam. I don't care. If Setsuna is a Gundam, then the Huckebein is also a Gundam.
“Flagship of your entire gunpla collection” c’mon, it’s a main suit model with nothing that sticks out. In a collection it blends in, it doesn’t stand out.
