My reaction/breakdown to LARRY BIRD ADMITS TRASH TALKING NBA LEGENDS!! The Complete Compilation of Larry Bird's Greatest Stories Told By NBA Players & Legends PART 1 FIND ME: linktr.ee/btwice
Johnny Stockton said bird walked by the jazz bench before a game and stopped didn't look at anyone and he said I feel like 43 tonight and walked away. He scored 43 and checked himself out in the 3rd quarter. Lol
Yes he is ,you looked forward every week to just see what he was going to do ,that's why the building was rocking and you knew you was going to be taking about one of his plays all week !! #respect ❤💯‼️
Larry is one of those rare birds that you never grow tired of stories about. Imagine telling the best players in the NBA exactly what you are going to do...to win the game.. and there's not one thing you can do about it. 😄
I love the part during the clip with Xman, you can hear the announcer say ".. and the ball goes to Larry... LOOKOUT!" Cracks me up! I heard a variation on that every other game. 😂🤣😂
Yeah Chuck Person was called the “rifleman” and he told the press he was going “bird hunting”. That’s when Larry said he had a Christmas present for him. As he made his shot he told Person Merry F’ing Christmas. Bird was something.
The league was so shook, Mark Aguirre faked injury on more than one occasion to hide from Bird. He left Dallas' rookies to be slaughtered. He dropped 50 on Detlef Schrempf in one of those games Mark decided to miss. Xavier McDaniel did the same thing and left rookie Shawn Kemp all alone with Bird. He dropped 50 on Shawn in 3 quarters.
If you had to show a kid just starting how to play basketball....you show them Bird. No flaws in his game. Pure work and determination to maximize talent. Boom.
man the best trash talk moment is when Bird talked trash to Doctor J until Doc lost it and started a fight.... everytime someone scored Bird called the score, he was guardind Doc, Doc on Bird, score at the time of the fight was 34 to 6
I always make this same sort of comment on Larry Bird vids. My mom liked Larry Bird and the Celtics. Her favorite player was Dennis Johnson. When Johnson became a Celtic, she was fit to be tied.
Larry fell, and knocked himself out. He broke his cheekbone, and suffered a concussion. He came back out, and put the Celtics back in the lead, WHILE SUFFERING FROM DOUBLE VISION.
From a mother of nine young men and grandmother to 16.. you are absolutely adorable! Every time I look at you I get a big grin on my face! Keep being you... You're precious!
I think almost everyone realizes Kobes greatness... Its just that he was basically alone in the league for almost a decade. Its not anyone anyone think he wasnt that good but the lack of proper opposition didnt allow his greatness to really shine. Not in the way of Larry, Magic, Jordan etc. One of the biggest reasons Larry is held in such high regard by people from back in the day is becase he did ALL his insane things in the most stacked league there ever was. Under those circumstances, you can do HALF of what he did and still be considered great. Under Kobe circumstances he would need to do double what he did for people to appriciate it the same. I have a really hard time placing Kobe due to this. I wanna put him in my top ten and I do BELIEVE he is worthy of that... But I dont KNOW if he is. But I always start thinking, how well would he have done if he came into the league a decade earlier? Im absolutely sure he would still be a a top teir player... but so would like 30 other guys. Since he never played any of them, its really hard to tell where he would place among them.
1. Consider that when James Worthy is holding Bird's jersey with two hands about to rip it off in order to not let him get away, that's James MF'n Worthy, a Hall of Famer that feels the need to hold and foul like that. 2. Avon, glad you out homie. Hit me up if you wanna get at Marlo.
the 1979-1980 season is the 1st season of the 3 pointer. These players never had it in college or high school, which makes his shooting all the more impressive
I was big laker fan back in the day and I hated the celtics cause they were so good especially Larry bird. You know how many times he would hit the game winning shot to win the games? To many to count, especially on the lakers and pistons, and back then the play off games were brutal. The Detroit pistons bad boys would just beat the crap outta you and they would really try to hurt you bad. Good stuff though, when the nba was awesome to watch. Not like todays watered down league and spoiled, " I'm entitled", players. Back then they had hand checking and the refs would just let them play and not call any petty or hard fouls, loved it!!!
Enjoyed ur reaction video, pl keep doin wut ur doin. Luv old school basketball, always fun 2 hear stories especially ones that weren't told bck in the day. Michael n Larry had the same killer instinct it wuz rare for either 2 have n off nite. When they ever missed a shot that really mattered 1st of all it wuznt often 2nd if they did miss it u were shocked. Both were assassins on the floor n saw the game n themselves differently than the other greats that r easy 2 bring in2 the conversation. i no this video is about Bird, i only bring MJ in2 it cuz there the same mentally they both have the ability 2 regain there confidence even when having n off nite. What made Bird great in that one play, wuz not that he told everyone wut he wuz gonna do n then did just like that, that's hilarious, but also wut u explected from him if u watched Larry play bck in the day, i wuz 2 young but enjoy watching his old games now, anyways wut wuz great about that game winning 3 he made after telling the whole bench he'd nail it is that he had a nite that wld have destroyed any other players confidence in a situation like that Jordan wuz the same, there wuz no quit in them they knew no defeat until the game wuz over, n wut made these 2 even greater is the punishment they took 2 b that dominant in the league, n how they played thru pain of injuries n still dominated. Sry everyone but Lebron is not even better than Larry so he's def not at MJ's level Larry is 2nd runner up in the goat discussion my opinion. Lebron cld never out clutch these 2 great men. Never. I don't understand the debate at all. Lol these dudes were so gd they'd use the same move on u same spot 2 or 3 times ina row n score on u anyway, both wld tell u wut wuz gonna go down. Larry wuz so gd at shooting he wuz bored n wld make plays left handed. They're the 2 coldest basketball players 2 walk planet earth, n wut made larry colder wuz he wuznt incredibly fast or incredibly strong he wuznt a high flyer n still dominated u game in n game out, that's incredibly badass.
facts noticed that and everything form and everything i always tell people larry is the most underated basketball player of all time and people would fight him trying to win and he still would if he can slap NBA all star players injured dude is better then MJ would ever be
It's funny I've seen a number of these bird reaction videos. I watch the man play live. People today think Lebron James is some great player, but now they're realizing what great play actually is.
In 1980s Denver when the games sold out they would show it on TV. That meant we got to see the Nuggets play the Celtics and Lakers all the time. I hated Bird because he was a Nuggets killer.
Kobe was a great player ! Just not in the same league as Jordan and Bird ! And played with a lot less competition ! I still have him in top 10 ! BIRD says great things about Kobe as well .
To those who call Jordan the GOAT-- Bird was a better passer, rebounder, and shooter. And he beat the best to become the best--Dr. J, Moses Malone, Maurice Cheeks, Andrew Toney, Darryl Dawkins, Charles Barkley--Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Byron Scott, Michael Cooper--Hakeem Olajuwon, Ralph Samson, Elvin Hayes, Caldwell Jones, John Lucas--Isaiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Dennis Rodman, Bill Laimbeer, Mark Aguire--Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley, John Starks, Gerald Wilkins--Dominique Wilkins, Tree Rollins, Antoine Carr, Spud Webb, Doc Rivers, Kevin WIllis--Jordan, Oakley, Gervin, Paxson, Woolridge? Swept them twice. There was no one Bird didn't beat.
