He doesn't even has his 9 worthies armour that Mandricardo uses nor his shinning helmet
It still strikes me as strange that Iskandar, one of the most recognisable characters in the franchise and a five-star introduced before even Camelot, still hasn't seen any main story focus. To my recollection the last time he was given spotlight in an event was back at Accel/Zero.
Honestly I feel like most of the Stay Night and Zero Servant arent realy given much attention. Altaugh Medea has it defenetly the worst! Come on! Atleast give her a Summer Version! ore a Christmas Version!
"He was a disappointment in Septem." Who wasn't? Only one I disagree on this list is Beryl. He did exactly what the story needed him too, and I don't think giving him a bigger role would have added anything. If anything, his end basically being Mash saying "Sorry, but I have more important things on my plate right now, see you never" was basically the perfect conclusion.
Nero herself I think was the only one that wasnt a dissapointment in Septem. But otherwhise? Yep Septem is a dissapointment, and its not even like its difficult to fix. Have Boudica as an Avanger be the main villian, have Spartacus be her generel, and instead of fighting AGAINST all the Emperors you have them all unitet as allys defending there home, lead by Romolus.
It hurts to see Tamamo’s situation. Not only does she get sidelined in favor of Nero, but one of the major antagonists turns out to _not_ be a member of the Tamamo Nine. Also she has a difficult time remembering Hakuno. Which breaks my heart, especially since I was introduced to Typemoon through EXTRA.
I fully agree with lartoria alter idk what they were thinking introducing an alter first then the supposed to be original lartoria. Appearing out of nowhere serve no purpose for plot aside from a hindrance instead. But imo I'd like if they add Haydee into the story cuz as we know ***spoiler*** in oc 2 dantes link lost and if she ever get added I just wanna see her possible interaction with dantes in the future

There's a rather OP arts CE that if i'm not wrong increases Arts cards for 40% 3T and has Kuzuki init so maybe if he was an Assassin that can support the party alongside being like a more spammeable Li shuwen would be pretty ok ngl
I heavily disagree with you on Heracles and Romulus=Quirinus. The fact that Heracles was summoned in Atlantis and died before we even got there is a very, very important plot point in Jason’s arc as well as a solid indicator to how desperate things are. Romulus=Quirinus also has a great appearance, as the ace that Chaldea worked so hard to pull off. In his short timing he emphasized the hope of humanity. Both of these characters are written that way for a reason. Same with Beryl Gut. He died a very deserving death.

You’d be hard pressed to find a piece of media that better exemplifies the term “payoff” more than LB 5, after all the sacrifices and horrors that the master goes through, Romulus pulling up at the 11th hour as the ultimate representation of human ability is the essence of a good payoff. 2) Your short attention span doesn’t make Beryl an objectively bad character. He was present right across multiple lost belts and is the only reason Wodime was killed in the first place
Herc was buffed by casters and was able to tank TWO SHOTS from Machine God Artemis before he was finally taken down. The fact it took TWO SHOTS is very impressive as we've had to book it before Artemis fires on where we were at
I don't think Beryl's character is wasted, all the Masters of the Lostbelts got to have their own backstory in the From Lostbelt manga, and I think its enough to portray him. Honestly the only character wasted in FGO is probably OG Saber (the Saber class) herself, barely has voicelines, short Valentines, only her other variants are used. (I don't count her summer as part of her)
While there are a lot of underused characters, there is one I have no idea how he isn't a Servant. Sir Aggravain. Backbone of the Round Table, he was throughout the entire singularity, he would've won if not for Serenity ex machina, he fought with Lancelot, survived and was at the end with Lartoria! Why, Lasagna, why?

Medea and Lance Alter story time are crimes. Don't know if it true but it feels like David is more the shepherd David, would also love to see an older David show up maybe in a ruler class.
Lancer alter will always be number one in my list of absolutely underutilized because of not just the fact that her screen time is super low, the very little scenes we have of her make negligible use of her character in the first place. Another controversial one is Jeanne Ruler. Sure, she's literally one of the poster girls of FGO at the start and had been featured in a number of story chapters and events. But if you read the Apocrypha Light novel as well as the original APO game concept for her, then you realize that her potential as a character is not properly used. Her role in FGO main story is mostly generic as a charismatic female knight and her speech in Solomon could have been given by anyone else, especially Gilgamesh. Her interludes started off great but fell off in the third one where the spotlight shifted to Jalter who became her own separate character and overshadows Jeanne. Samurai Remnant made the best use of her character foundations till date and it makes her have a great dynamic with Chiemon who would have been otherwise an insignificant edgelord. Her case is of wasted potential and screentime.
One of the most wasted characters in my opinion are the Trojan warriors. They only showed Achilles as the best of the best and Odyseuss as also the best (even tho he was extremely weak and survived thanks to his intellect that wasn't even on par with his war enemy Hector) but they haven't showed us why the hell is Hector a 3*??? The man had 0 Gods power unlike Achilles who was so blessed even Poseidon blessed him with a horse and Poseidon was Troy Guardian God alongside Apollo. Then Hector went head on and fought the entire Achadeans army with only his city and his (i think 5 brothers i'm not 100% sure) took his already aged father throne and went to the battlefield as his people leader. He protected his city against everything for almost 10 years! It was only after he died that his city fell off. Meaning HE CARRIED LIKE NO ONE! I don't want fate devs to just take the ez way and drop the gamebreaking 5* Saber Hector that can even 1 shot ORT but at least. Give the man some respect Btw forgot to mention also Blackbeard. He's the most famous pirate ever and doesn't even have a charge like. Come on man at least make his guts increase his dmg the lower the health like Anne & Bonie or his hel skill able to further heal or buff pirate servants
@@ultimatesonic47 according to fate and the lore Durandel was a Sword that could become a Spear and just like Hector stated and what Paris said, He can work as a saber on his lancer form just like as a lancer on his saber form meaning the 2 forms are completely equal but after a long time after the war when it was found by Mandricardo it had long lost it Spear like abilities. unlike what they did to Diarmuid with his unnecesary and stupid buff of his Saber form being extremely OP on a attemp to fix how weak they made him on Fate/Zero and FGO as a 3* with barely any use. As i said Hector deserves a Buff to make him worth using, in the fate/grand order manga Turas Realta he fought Drake, Artemis, Atalanta, David and Asterios without much problem until Blackbeard literally came back from the dead, a plus about Hector is that in the same manga he also appeared on America where he fought on equal ground against foes like Fionn, Fergus, Diarmuid and was even praised by Karna himself. I won´t say he´s stronger than Achilles, but at least he said that the difference was as thick as a sheet of paper
The biggest wasted potential are all the berserkers that can only growl and roar. They get to have absolutely no character and never end up being used in any story. Would it kill the devs to give us an alt for characters like Heracles, Lu Bu and Darius.
And then we get to Olympus, and we had BOTH Mordred and Lancer Alter as Servants that managed to get there AND THEY ARE ALREADY DEAD AND WE SEE NO INTERACTION BETWEEN THEM! Are you kidding me?! Youre telling me Artoria and Mordred worked together to get to Olympus and we dont get to see that?!
To be fair the counterforce was sending EVERYTHING IT HAD to stop what was going on in lostbelt 5. They were just ready for them. That was the most Secure lostbelt THAT HAD A TREE! counterforce sent in 2 Grand servants and many rogue servants that managed to breach its defenses to give us a chance.

nearly 9 years after release i'm still waiting for heracles variant. the only significant appearance he got after okeanos was a "yeah, he died" in atlantis and a "yeah, he's a shadow servant" in gotterdamerung, he has one upgrade to his kit (which i dont mind that much since he's still busted as anchor) and if i recall correctly, he barely has event bonuses other versions of heracles where?

Diarmud, in both forms, both gameplay wise and story wise. He shows up briefly in singularity 4 as a gofer for Fionn, and then, when his saber form came out(The class that he claims he's best in) they proceeded to not use him much, if at all. Fate/Zero portrays him as an honorable warrior who constantly finds himself struggling against everything going on around him, and staying loyal to his lord/master, only for FGO to use none of that at any point. I think he should have been summoned in camelot instead of the rice bag archer, so that a space isn't being wasted for a character that not only does nothing of any importance, but also sticks out like a sore thumb. Sanzang as a character also fits this as instead of her being summoned for the Chinese lostbelt or for shimousa, both chapters she would fit well in not only culturally but also thematically, she overshadows some of the hassans and in general makes less sense to have shown up there the more one actually thinks about it.
Agree. She should have appeared on lb3 as she's a buddhist. The ppl on the lb3 lacked faith on anything and just like Jin ke showed them the beauty of freedom and Spartacus the rebellion Xuanzang should have gave them the hope and path of the buddha. (Also i hate the 4* Diarmuid as it is basically a middle finger to Diarmuid fans who wanted the 3* to get a buff buy instead released a Saber ver wo damn op it's disgusting to compare him to the 3* Same issue with Romulus and Romulus=Quirinus)

I like his animations and the fact that the writers gave him something other than sad Fionn minion. Though the lancer version could’ve had an interesting interaction with Tristan in Camelot. I could go on a whole rant on how both versions should be buffed to make them at least semi-relevant, both story and gameplay-wise

@@TheManastein well at least she now has an Anti demonic enemies Niche but compared to others like Siegfried or Raikou she only has a basic 50% against them and a 30% def wich is lower than siegfried nor has any secondary use like raikou, it just increases it's dmg by 50% and drops 25 stars wich is not bad but her NP also doesn't do extra dmg against them wich means overall is a weaker way to deal with demonic enemies compared to siegfried and dragon enemies even if nezha has an anti demonic CE
Well, basically any non popular 1 to 3 star character from fgo is under used unless you're meta or a cute waifu. For example Ushiwaka and Arash haev great moments in the story quest, but someone like Eric Bloodaxe was literally just a glorified grunt that appeared ONLY once in Okeanos. Gilles is usually the joke character, kid gil doesn't appear at all and a bunch of others are just.... there. But then characters like Charlotte Corday not only get her story explored on Atlantis, she also gets her same story explained... in her interlude. AND her Swimsuit version has the exact same story explored AGAIN on that summer event. Some characters are just more popular I guess... or the fact that having so many writers without any correlation with each other writting the story and different chapters can ultimately hinge on some characters, or maybe Nasu wants to add more artorias..
I think they really wasted Fran so far. I'd even say they wasted her in Apocrypha as well, there could have been such a good story line with her connecting to the homunculi (you know, other artificial humans similar to her!!!), but we really don't get much with her.
Fr Since the beggining she was just filling a role as originally they meant for Kintoki to be the berserker but decided not to as they though he was just too OP or out of place as they intended for berserker todie at the start against Mordred but since Kintoki is wqy stronger than mordred they chose a zerker who could be dissposable so they just selected the legendary superhuman Frankenstein who also has inf magic energy and inf regen as long as she has even a bit of energy :/ Kinda dissapointed that she even stun herself on game since she's prob one of my fav berserkers
Boudica is terribly written to the point that it transcends Septem a chapter where everyone is written like complete garbage. If they pulled the Suetonius card and if Nero said she couldn't do anything or the empire would turn against her, I could somewhat understand her not hating Nero (still piss poor writing since Boudica should still hate all the romans but still). But then she blames Quirinus for everything wrong that the romans did because he's their god... like yeah the god is the one to blame for romans starting to act like retards even when they start to mess up their own empire... Even her skill set is better written than her since her skill set give damage vs romans showing how much she hates them and ironically makes her a great support for Quirinus that is the only one she hates...
They wasted so many characters. -David was turned into the Jew merchant parody because he's the king of Jews when he should be such a big deal the guy is the father of Solomon that is the reason the big boss of part 1 exists. -Caesar was also turned into a fatass greedy merchant that is a parody when the guy had legit military achievements under his belt, for some reason all the focus of the Romans goes to Nero that went down in history as a clownish emperor and a sort of proto-Hitler. Cleopatra was also turned into a parody. -St. George turned into a glorified healer in the middle of Europe in middle ages was hilarious. The first thing I did when I saw that was asking my family what was the first name that came to their head when they hear Dragonslayer, the instant answer in every single one of them was St. George. Now imagine him with the fame boost of being in middle ages in the middle of Europe when religion was in a all time high. -I think the only thing I recall about Lu Bu is Summer Jalter vomiting on his head or something on those lines that for a guy that made a name for himself in the battlefield is insulting. -Most of the FSN servants not named Gilgamesh or not having the same face as saber with Cursed Arm being an exception, well, not really when he is portrayed as a completely different person he might as well be a different Hassan. -Eric Bloodaxe's wife that has yet to appear has probably more impact in the story than he does, even his CQ and Interludes are more about her than him.
For the majority of them with our explications I stay don't see the potencial. Sorry but a lot look like they don't even look like their make to have that big importance.
